Anyone who wants to bootlick for Elon has probably never worked in IT. Every single IT professional from software engineer on down to helpdesk has at some point in their career worked for a boss who did not know how to do the job their underlings have. It's a chronic problem where the overwhelming majority of leadership - especially at the most senior level (VP and above) - are a bunch of Business Management majors who have no clue what technical stuff their company does/sells. Elon demonstrated several times very publicly that he has no earthly clue what the coding underpinnings of his own software actually are despite trying to pass himself off as some sort of coding guru because he did a Paypal once upon a time. I don't know a lick of any coding language and I could call BS on that from a mile away because it's painfully easy to tell when people try to use technical jargon to mask a lack of understanding. But his ego won't ever let him admit that he's not the smartest man in the room and he's got a whole legion of fluffers out there to make sure that ego stays rock hard. I will never understand the ride-or-die attitude for a billionare who sees you as a mark.
As someone who works in advertisisng, the layoffs including the ones at Meta and Twitter have just made it so that random features no longer work/are not accessible because they fired that team 😅 So the narrative of this interview is very weird... you purge people who develop your products (especially ad products), which is the most important aspect of this kind of business

You're funny
The idea that Musk struggles to speak because he’s trying to dumb it down is absurd. He ALWAYS sounds dumb and even that’s hard for him.
"Some things are priceless." Elon's hard on the copium 💀
The way tucker carlson laughs about people getting fired is the same joy that can be heard by one of MoistCriticalz friends on his podcast. Dude believes that what elon did is the most amazing thing ever.
I'm kinda sick of hearing about him. I hope he falls out of the news cycle soon.
Agreed, but he won't. He's an egomaniac who loves attention.
I hope not. Elon has been getting more and more hate and i want that pattern to keep going.
He makes a lot of money drawing attention to himself and whatever he is involved in. And he has a lot of money. Soo....not until he is broke.
Or maybe gets arrested for a felony.
@@bnpixie1990 yup, he's the ape standing on top of the hill of cash. As "civilized" as we might like to say we are, we still can't get rid of that primitive bias it seems

The other thing that's very funny about Carlson laughing about firing people and screeching when it's truck drivers being fired is that ELON WOULD BE SOMEONE THAT WOULD MAKE TRUCK DRIVERS IRRELEVANT.
“Fired the HR department and other useless baggage”
Blizzard: WRITE THAT DOWN
I had a woman argue with me that Elon is Very Good And Smart because he fired 80% of his staff, and she insisted that all of it was from the "Censorship Department." I was baffled by several of her statements, but now I'm realizing she must have gotten her talking points from this interview.

Every time that weasel Tucker laughs, another train derails
I honestly can’t tell if I’m more bothered by Musk struggling to make every word sound profound or Tuck’s sycophancy and weird cackle.
The reason why he fired twitter employees wasnt because there was too much staff, its because he overpaid for twitter and hes trying to wring as much profits as back as he can by reducing employees he could pay.
Musk: "The goal of new twitter is not to favour any political ideology"
Tucker 2 seconds later: "Why haven't they taken the stand you have taken, which is rooted in American traditional, political custom?"
Sounds like favouring a political ideology to me.
That Jordan Peterson impression was spot on

Funny how society gives Elawn a pass on his morals - cheating on his spouse and having kids and paying support is normalized when Billionaires do it I guess.

The 80-20 firing thing is not even new. There has been other CEOs who have boasted about the same thing, how you only keep the core people and start building something new from a failing company. It was BS then and it is BS now
Except those CEO didn't realize the next day they had inadvertently fired key people and try to get them back at twice the price 😂
Even the sh*ttiest type of management, he can't do right.

Kudos on using fluffers to describe his Cadre of goons.
The Jordan Peterson impression got me crying😹
This isn't Elon's only major embarrassment, yesterday, SpaceX lost the most powerful rocket ever built, which exploded four minutes after launch, it was the Starship. As usual, Musk-stans are snorting copium, saying it was still a success, despite failing to reach earth orbit, and SpaceX has more rockets ready for launch, even though prototypes for the Starship have been lost to accidents, and test failures, Twitter and SpaceX have the potential to be the biggest fiscal disasters for Musk, this could be the reality check Elon-nerds desperately need.
There will never be a reality check. Serfs gotta serf
Why dont they just say what they mean? They keep saying free speech..but free speech to say what? Sorry society has moved on from tolerating bigots.
You’re not dumb people act like you’re dumb for questioning the system

Shit, I constantly forget simple words now and it makes me feel like I've become an idiot. Don't get how Hasan could feel that way.
16:49 - I would walk out of the room if someone patronized me to my face like that. Like it literally feels as if Carlson is mocking him with that fake laughter
Also people fawn over elon not because of the way he speaks. or because what he is saying is convoluted and hard to understand. But because he has money, in our society money and power are seen as the mark of success and intelligence. Even though It’s one google search away that three of the most powerful men in this country are trust-fund babies. “Donny” “elon” and “Jeffery” were all gifted and obscene amount of money by their millionaire parents. capitalism is the reason people listen to elon.
He just stopped non members from looking at Twitter too. No way I'm giving that freak my personal data so bye bye. Only used it for breaking news & sport anyway.
The best comparison I have is Elon sounds like a money nerd for a gang that got caught by a rival gang and is trying to bargain with them for his life
