Very good advice, thank you. If I hadn't gone to a doctor for my symptoms that turned out to be Raynaud's Syndrome, I wouldn't have been referred to a Rheumatologist who then diagnosed Scleroderma, which has been very serious for me (particularly my oesophagus). Not everyone will also have Scleroderma, but getting symptoms examined can help diagnose, treat & hopefully relieve Raynaud's Syndrome more rapidly.

I believe it's important for it to be on your medical records. I had a heart issue last year, and informing them of my Raynaud meant that the consultant cardiologist prescribed me a different Beta blocker. As the one he would normally prescribe may have caused issues. My partner mentioned it too them as it wasn't on my records. Hope this is useful to someone.

Thanks for sharing your experience Michael. It's so true - just having it on your medical record can be beneficial.

I asked my doctor for an ANA but they would not give me one as they said due to my anxiety history it could make me more anxious and the doctor did not think I had scleroderma. I developed raynauds a few years ago at 30 and have issues with acid reflux but also was diagnosed with IBS.
