absolutely incredible album, love the power and energy, but also interweaving these enchanting melodies and choruses. the creativity and musical ingenuity is really striking. this is a great exemplar of viking pagan folk ABM
This is really nostalgic for me - I first got into (black) metal around 2007/2008, and Myrkgrav was one of the first artists I stumbled upon during that time.

You're not a viking. Viking is something that you did if you were alive in the Viking period. It's like saying I'm a pirate because my great grandfather engaged in piracy from time to time.
@@AuriflammeYou're correct and I agree but you're a little limited in your understanding and just repeating the common correction. Viking is, in academic publications, often used as an ethnonym and synonym for Norse as well. And obviously the guy meant that he has Viking heritage. Which he does and you understand. Viking/Folk/Black Metal from Norway.
Black Metal Promotion - I like it!..badass....fan of Falkenbach, Folkearth, and Forest Stream here. I will add Myrkgrav to my metal collection.
+Black Metal Promotion There is no folk in here
+Jalal Goblin Actually there is, it's not "Korpiklaani"- styled folk, but it's presence is surely here
+Jalal Goblin it starts right off with folk fam

One of my favorite albums of all time. Been listening to it for over 17 years and will keep coming back to it into old age.
Worthy of Valhalla 💪💪
This is actually rather beautiful sounding compared to the usual harsh, gutteral sounds of black metal.
You haven't listened to much melodic, atmospheric, folk or Viking black metal have you
