Si ricomincia! dopo una pioggia di stelle di livello internazionali che continuano restare nel cortile della scuola, arrivano i giovani. mentre i più grandi si inerpicano nella complessità di armonie bebop i giovani partono giustamente dalle origini. è partono alla grande. ogni tanto rivedo i video in cui le star di oggi avevano quest'a età. Maestro, falli vedere anche a loro per fargli vedere quale è il percorso verso la perfezione. ascoltando il gran finale mi sono commosso. ed è questo il compito della musica, Ringrazia i tuoi bambini da parte mia.
It begins again! after a shower of stars of international level who continue to stay in the schoolyard, the young people arrive. while the older ones climb into the complexity of bebop harmonies, the younger ones rightly start from the origins. and they're off to a great start. every now and then I rewatch videos where today's stars were this age. Maestro, show them too to let them understand the path to perfection and that it is possible. listening to the grand finale I was moved. and that's the job of music, Thank your children for me.

Sorry I missed your live stream over the weekend when I signed up for it. Hope I can still see it. It is amazing how well these kids can play. Luc Martin could've out played me when I was 20, now he could wrap my trombone around my neck. lol!

What fun! I think Dixieland jazz is the happiest music in jazz. Great job by you and your musicians. One comment about instrumentation: as you are no doubt aware, traditional Dixieland bands use clarinet rather than saxophone. One reason is that when this music began to happen in the late 19th century among mostly black musicians in New Orleans the clarinet was much less expensive than the relatively new saxophone. It was also probably more readily available. Saxophones are still more expensive . Keep giving us Dixieland Jazz! Thank you.

Qué se puede agregar a todo los halagos que se han hecho acerca del trabajo del sr. Joan Chamorro? Sólo convendría decir que aquí se presenta otra expresión del precioso producto que ha conseguido con la Sant Andreu Jazz Band... Bueno, sí se puede agregar algo: aparte de la estupenda ejecución del combo en conjunto es de acentuar el trabajo de pianista, me parece que hace lo que hay que hacer y lo hace con la autoridad necesaria. Grandioso!!!
La nueva hornada de la SAJB, en efecto. Muy jóvenes, creo que todos los de este video están entre los 11 y los 17 años, pero algunos ya con mucha experiencia en la banda. Destacaría al pianista Pau García y al trombonista Luc Martín. Y me da mucha alegría ver que por fin la gran Carla Motis tiene un sustituto, Asier Vázquez. Y es que Carla era hasta el año pasado la única guitarrista en toda la historia de la banda. Siempre me pareció un poco extraño, la verdad.
