dude this old but clear as day it worked and bad cam sensors are the fix u kno if its timing chain just cause its a timing code doesn’t mean the it’s the chain bozo
Will need chains eventually just saying! Not trying to argue here most high mileage even with regular oil changes still need chains before 200000 if not already in the junk yard due to trans. Transmission, power steering and timing chain issues
You need to back up your camera and show exactly how to locate the sensor and what side of the car it’s on. Be more detailed and descriptive in your direction of the location of the sensor and exactly what you have to do to get to.
Exactly. I have seen plenty of videos that show what they look like and how to change these sensors but I have not seen where they are located yet. Help a fella out, please.
What's up man! I have a 2015 Acadia and my question is after I replace all 4 camshaft position sensors what do I do? Do they have to be relearned, reset etc? And if so, how do I do that? Need some help here in Arkansas bubba!! Thanks!
So I was told it was a cam shaft sensor, but my 2011 Acadia makes a squeaking noise and it sounds like it’s coming from the passenger front and progressively worse. Is this true?
2012 Acadia slt with codes p0018 p0019 p0a4a no knocking runs and drive very small shake barley could tell no smoke out the exuast have been told it looses power when accelerating do you think the timing chain should be replaced ? Vehicle has 151k miles
Is yours having a hard time reaching around 20-30mph? If so check into the fuel rail pressure sensor it’s under the intake manifold easy fix when I did mines runs great now but having issues with cam sensors,
Hi I can’t comment on the video about the stereo wiring on the 2003 Chevrolet with the bose . Do you remember the model number and make of the plug ? And did the system keep the alarm bells ? Do you have a follow up video ? I’d like to see how it worked out . Thanks
Ok . I’m having a problem trying to find the plug . Everyone wants me to buy the interface. I just wanna make sure the chime bells still worked after .
i just changed all 4 sensors and still cant get the light to stay out .. engine runs perfect ,, XL suzuki ..3.6 ,, i think a piece of tape over the light is in order ,
Did you ever notice it shift high from 2nd to 3rd while the codes were present? Mine runs mint but noticed it revs high just at that point. Wondering if maybe it does have a timing problem or if I should try the sensors first...
Always try the cheapest options first. I just bought all 4 Camshaft and VVT Solenoids for a little over $100 off eBay. I haven’t installed them yet because I haven’t received them yet, but it worth a shot
@Matt Morey Mine does the same thing! (P0008 and sometimes revs when it goes to shift) Have you fixed yours? If so what did you have to do? I had p0008 and p0017. I cleared the codes and only p0008 has come back so far. It started having the occasional puff of black smoke when taking off a few weeks ago when the check light came on. The pcv breathers are clogged so I’m replacing them and the air filter tonight. It runs really well other than the occasional rev in between gears so I am really hoping it’s not the chains.
@@ahb3296 I'm not sure, I ordered the sensors and also new pcv valves because they were clogged (they should be unrelated to the codes). Some of the parts got lost in shipping so im waiting on amazon to resend them so i can do both at the same time. I'll do my best to remember to give an update.

Yes You should have a better camera and not a cell phone when making a video like this. And it's too much and fast. It's also important to have good lighting first, many people don't know how to do it and it's very important. I think I'll start making a video of how I repair it. I have 3 cars at home and I'm working almost constantly, there's something new going on / it's a little difficult for me because I don't have a lift for cars, but that's important, not small ramps and low
Cars are very crowded and make it difficult for some people, that's why I support electric cars because there is a lot of space around the engine. I saw a private car, there is access everywhere and only 2 batteries and the rest are 6 converted alternators. There is also a problem with installing the bulbs, and it should be possible to get there easily on the road because it is important, then in new cars we have to modify the lamps so that there is as much light as in old cars. Engineers should go to better schools because they don't have the brains for this job, creating cars. that's nonsense
I don't wanna be a you tube star at all I just like to help people anyway u can. I have a very good job and I would never spend my time being a youtuber. I just post when I can and when I feel I can help someone
