I would have added some sort of grommet where the hose passes through the ceiling just to prevent unnecessary wear and tear on the hose over time. Im really enjoying your content, keep it up guys!

I was noticing the same thing as soon as I saw the ceiling hole. I am thinking something like:
Construct Pro Speedy Spring-Lock Cable Pass Through Port | 2 inch Diameter | Black CON6061SPZ
Even better:
Twist Lock Grommet (2 Pack in Black) Cable, Wire, Cord Management - Self Locking Grommet with Cover for Walls, Ceilings, Desks, Used for All Surfaces 3/8” to 1” Thick, Made in USA (Black)
Triple better:
2" ID White Ceiling Tile Grommet - Fits 1/2" - 5/8” Thickness.

When you put the Teflon tape on, make sure you wrap it the other way so that as you tighten the threads, the tape gets tighter and makes a better seal.

It would help if you used the tools properly. Hold your channel locks the other way, you'll get tighter leverage
