These are made in Pakistan more commonly in Sialkot city. Having used one of these for 20 or so years let me tell you that these are the most long lasting stubborn irons I have ever used. They just refused to die off.
Refuse to die off unlike the workres at the factory exposed to all forms of chemicals with no safety equipment. Todays version built buy a whole new set of workers.

Original Panasonic japan iron price in pakistan Rs 17000 while these local made price is only 2000. Despite knowing its local made, people still are prefering it over original owing to its low price. it still can last longer depending on use.

I like how incredibly clean their workplace is. There is not a lot of old dirt on the floors. Then I like that they all wear safety shoes, and wear hearing protection and protective glasses, and have respiratory protection when spray painting. And I like that they have some good ergonomic chairs and tables to work at.
