For this recipe I used baking soda. I will do a recipe with baking powder (I’ve never tried it so I don’t want to tell you to try it and then it doesn’t come out properly).
Love it! Can you make the ones how we use to make in Guyana, with only flour, and when you eat it, there was a little hard in the middle. I want to make it but don't have a recipe. Maybe you can make it one day, maybe before July 😊😊. Thanks 😊
I have not heard of this. And they are soaked still in syrup right? I’ve heard Guyanese people make this but they always put some milk powder (less than the Indian one) in it.
If you do not have it you can definitely omit it. You can use any spices like cinnamon and nutmeg (they are not traditional but would taste good). And the cardamom you can buy from West Indian, East Indian and most regular grocery stores.
Buddy, either your baking soda is of the Super Mario Mushroom type or you mixed your units up. I made this recipe, but did 5 cups of powder milk, rolling my dough balls to about an inch diameter and just got under 60 rasgullas...😥😥😥
That my favorite.All the best.
My favorite! I’ll be trying this recipe!

Can someone confirm... BAKING SODA OR BAKING POWDER. I came across recipes that use both of them separately. Can either be used?
For this recipe I used baking soda. I will do a recipe with baking powder (I’ve never tried it so I don’t want to tell you to try it and then it doesn’t come out properly).
Where can I find milk powder? Is there any sub to this? Can I just use regular flour?
There is a recipe with just flour but the measurements are different, will post that soon
You can find the milk powder at any grocery store. And sadly there is no substitute for this

Baking soda has salt, don’t use to offer as parsad
This is not to be used for parsad.

I’m not too sure why that happened. The recipe did make quite a few when I recorded.
@@matthewsguyanesecooking4601 Then it has to be your baking soda. you rooled them less than an inch and they puffed up!!
@@anderson8601 lol I’m going to have to make this recipe again and recount
Why don't you all give the measurements.?
They are in the description box right below the video
When do you throw in the lemon juice?
You can’t throw it when the sugar comes to a boil
