- Yup, this is the best cloud pour recipe you guys. I really hope this video helped everyone who has been writing to me saying they are struggling with this technique :)

MelyD I'm in central Illinois Menards and Lowe's lumber stores are open . They have pine table top rounds. A 15 inch is about $9 . They also have 18 inch and larger. Thanks and all the best !
@melydartist, when you used that de-juicer thing with the blue squeezer lol, and said you add water gradually, it's basically like adding water to grout. That's what I do when I do mosaics, but ugh, we tend to waste grout and it makes me want to go out and grout the sidewalk or road 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Oh. My. Freaking. GOD!!! Remember I told you I finally found the deco art satin enamels last week.... well I've watched this video 10 times, used exactly the same stuff and I wish I could show you this painting I just did! It looks just like yours! I'm blown away! I have to go pop a bottle of champagne now and cry! Thank you thank you thank you 😊

Consistency consistency consistency. It is the main driving force no matter what technique, but absolute truth when it comes to cloud mix. Now I get that my failures have not been my cloud mix but the choice of color brands. Thank you for making it straight forward. Liquitex has a very large spectrum of colors that we can mix paints to get what we want. Thank you for this video. Glad this painting sold. Stay well and safe. Take time to put a smile on your face and heart. What did it for us was being gifted with a new dog. He has changed us from being sad and fearful too, cautious, and happy.

Mely. You are always so right when I preach on the value of experimentation and practice. It's transformative. Thank u for figuring out the cloud recipe. I am also waiting for a studio space. My first ever. I can't wait to get my hands on some satin enamels.. Ugh... I guess it wasn't an essential product. It finally came back and flew off the shelves before I could get any. Dear deco art.. Do not discontinue ur satin enamels before I get to play with them. Sincerely, An American on a budget... Ha ha. But seriously. I do value ur work and the out of the box thinking. You have pushed me to be a more daring artist. Plus u are just so friendly and loveable. Such a great teacher. Oh if I had money I'd FILL ur patreon or whatever u opened to the BRIM! The Liquitex Pouring Medium helps so much!!! ❤️ I've ran out before and it isn't the same with just floetrol. The Liquitex Pouring Medium gives that "pebble" effect too.

there is a difference then! I wish I could speak for Floetrol but I've never tried it. I thought it resembled pouring medium and that's why most people use it. Thanks for this Heather and for mentioning me! :)

I have listened virtually to hundreds of pouring videos....thank you for not making the process impossible to achieve.
I live in Germany and we don't get all the ingredients you have. (ARTIST'S LOFT = UNATTAINABLE)But....you gave an alternative.
That's WONDERFUL about your video and ideas......alternatives and possibilities. You always try to give other ways of achieving the (near as dammit) results. Thanks again for the "eye-balling" .....just shows, one doesn't need a scale to achieve wonderful art.

Melys cloyd pour was the 1st pour I ever learned when I first started out and just when I was about to give up BAM I got perfect results ..other artists have tried to alter her mix by using different measurements or using milk paint but I have stuck with this mix right here and ALWAYS get perfect cloud effects . It drove me batty trying to get it just right and trying to use exact amounts but when I just eyeballed it one day like she does I was so happy I coulda peed my pants. !!! Hahaha !! 😜😜😜😜😜

Is it crucial to use deco art satin enamel. It’s not available where I am. Can I use any brand. Is it a water based satin enamel? Or an oil base?
