While playing props you gradually learn these abilities. The problem of today is that players tend to rush things. They either buy premium jets or grind rapidly with premium account, which results in a lack of experience at that high br. A few years ago that wasn't really possible or atleast less common. It is an undeniable truth that the overall player quality has decreased due to that rushing mentality.

A lot of people claim its OP, because it can be called that in ground RB with those RB05 missiles, which have more TNT equivalent than the HE round on a Yamato, and some of the lyddite explosive shells on the new British BBs. And the RB 05 also has a proxy fuse
One thing I like to do with the SK60 against planes with higher speed is if they’re on my six, I just resort to a few aileron rolls, and that somehow messes up the opponent’s aim, and he overshoots and ends up on my crosshairs. Also instead of going in on headons, I like to turn slightly away from the opponent, to bait the plane into a turn fight that I will easily win, despite the gunpods. All this to makeup how much speed I don’t have. Too bad no tracers tho, but I got used to the aim.
Glances over to 101 kills to 1 death People suck at fighting this thing, it doesn't make it overpowered. Look at the video, almost everyone i killed was a dumbass or i 3rd partied
As an avid me262a1u1 user, I confidently shred migs and sabres and I have no problem with disposing of these with a single burst. One gripe I do have is the ability to carry missiles
These are mostly harmless to fighters unless Sk 60 pilot is an absolute mad lad AND the target does not move at all. Those missiles are bane of space stations though, don’t even try to hide on orbit with a Tu-4 from this thing. Which is a good thing, finally we have a plane to hard counter passive behavior.
@@EriIaz They are actually quite good against fighters too. Just put missile controls on numpad and learn how it flies, you can intercept lots of fighters and attackers that aren't looking around enough.

I am not one of the people who have 2000 hours of molesting tanks with G.91 or something, so I am not too good with things like that, lol. Fighters are too small and agile for it, and you are approaching them head on, maybe with a lot of angular velocity, so you don’t have a lot of time to adjust and may need a lot of adjusting. One tiny maneuver - and the missile is no more. It’s 2 attacks and you know, I am doing better that this already. Best case scenario, you get 2 kills with missiles and you are out of ammo, realistically it’s 1 kill and RTB where you are likely to be strafed. Meanwhile with ADENs you have much more potential. These are lovely guns, ammo load is adequate too, so with good conventional aiming skill, you can get much more than 2 kills. Like, 4-5 kills. Or 2 kills and some light pillboxes. And you stay in the air much longer. Maaaybe in the distant future all the noobs who try turnfight SK60 realize they have to stop doing that, maybe in this case this strategy will be better, but definitely not now.
I was that first Ho 229 you yeeted there on Afghanistan. It was my like 4th game in the wooden plane and I thought "oh look sweedish boi, try this turn!" And I got promptly sent to the hangar. At least I got 2 kills that game :D But I'm still learning how to fly the Horten
Before i rant , that was some incredible gameplay , Recently got the squadron Me 262 , the SK60B with air spawn makes it incredibly hard to side climb or at least get some altitude. The SK60B isn't over powered , but its air spawn is literally the bane of 262 fighters. The 262 was built for boom - zooming play-style against enemy bombers, climb , dive , climb , rinse and repeat. could you possibly make a video playing any me 262 , on countering these flying cancers. At this point I've given up on the ME 262 , heck even the R2Y2 because of their expensive repair costs.
Something that makes me curious, is if the SK60 is decent at zoom climbing after short dives to store the energy (kind of like the old "MiG-15 vs Sabre" BnZ stuff)
I think you might be forgetting the fact that 1. you only have 300 rounds and 2. the bullet speed is slower than tank shells. Edit: These aren´t adens...
@@danielzaba9913 I have the G91 R/3, it has ADENS too and I can safely say they're the most deadly cannons in the game, you have to land even just one shot and you rip off a wing/set the engine on fire on any aircraft I don't think I ever got a spark with them As for the velocity, besides the fact that it fights Me-262s that have the MK108s, (the worst gun in the game), it's honestly quite similar to that of other cold war era 30mm cannons such as the DEFAs and the NR-30s for example 300 is already 50 shells more than the G91 R3 and it's enough to kill at the very least 4 aircrafts The fire rate is enough to make the guns effective but not too high as to make you empty the magazines after a 1 second spray
@@gian.4388 First of all the G.91 R/3 doesn´t have adens, it has DEFA. As a matter of fact I would say DEFA is deadlier than adens, however they are pretty close. Also the DEFA 552 cannons found on the G.91 have a slightly higher muzzle velocity. Second of all, my bad, they might be Adens, however the cannons on the SK60 are far apart and not nose mounted like the adens you might find on for example the hunter. For some reason, they are also drastically less accurate as they were made for the attacker role. Meaning that you have to spray more. Not to mention that the adens you find at top tier, are arguably easier to aim, as your jet would have higher speeds, therefore closing the distance faster and allowing you to shoot at the precise moment. So unless you lead quite a lot or are within 0.2km you will not hit your target. It´s kinda useless to compare this aircraft to the G.91 as that jet has much better flight performance and is within a totally different br bracket and meta. So to conclude....is the akan on this thing good? Yes. Is it very good? I would say not really. But even then, they´re the only weapons it´s got, so it might be a bonus for the plane, but just like Defyn said, if you find an actually competitve pilot, unlike most of the people that think they can turn with it, then this thing won´t even come close to being able to do anything, especially if multiple people target it, or you find someone that climbs above you and knows how to energy fight, or if the people that are engaging just run away as most planes have better dive speed and overall speed than this thing. And when I say run way, I mean actually run away, not dive doing some weird maneuvers in an F80 just because your plane rolls well. But if you manage your energy and play your strength´s, or rather IT´S weaknesses you should be able to manage this thing. Edit: And btw comparing it to the me262 is also kinda redundant in my opinion, as we all know the me262 is unfortunately kinda crap at this moment, so all other planes can dominate it, not just the sk60. Oh and one last thing...DEFA and NR-30´s are actually kinda different...I would say adens are slightly similar to DEFA, and slightly less to NR-30´s.
Its really fun to dogfight sk60's in the a2d-1. I just climb above everyone then bnz starting at the highest alt enemy fighter first then turnfight as a last resort. The skyshark has an amazing rate of climb combined with its airspawn and 4 20mm cannons makes it a lot of fun!
Wish my any of my a2d teammates even understand what it means to climb. This thing is easily countered by a2d and i've had a match where 2/3 of my team is a2d and none of them even stay above 1.5km alt

Before the video, this definitely isn’t op. I’m not the best player but I’ve used both and had no issues countering them because you don’t have to turn. It also is difficult to escape after you get a kill if you actually have enemies that are keeping speed.
The "overpowered" part is also amplified by the fact that almost every A2D only cares about dropping their load and doesn't want to contest the enemy attackers
well tbf, with A2D, if you have your payload, you are worse than a brick. You can only achieve inevitable headons with it when you have payload. Once you make 90 degree turn, you are slow brick.
The main weakness of the Sk60B is it's energy retention and weak engine DEFYN can you do a guide of how to aim with bullpups or Nord missiles to get air kill ?
So we can just consider Planes like G 91 and Saab 105 Equal to Mig 9 or god forbid Mig 15. There is no advantage in 20 years of refinement and technology at all. There's no Difference between BMW E30 and a Triumph Spitfire? One is barely holding for its life at 130Kph and one is cruising. Sry M8 I will never agree to that statement. Before Mig 29s My country Used 21s and Domestic made Eagles and Hawks 25 years younger design. Although Neither were capable of Mach and played "second fiddle" to Mach 2 Mig. In a real life combat scenario Pilots compared them To Flying a Cesna vs getting yeeted in a tin bucket at Mach speed. And Migs were last ditch effort. It matters and that's why WT is sick when it comes to BR and matchmaking. Ease of use doesn't warrant BR and that's a problem. Mig 9 can go at higher speed but its an American car there It can only go straight. While you have almost 100% control at your top speed. Not even remotely relatable. And that's before you even mention armament. Its only there because its no match for faster modern planes so let it club old planes because F old planes we need them to grind the new stuff. Because face it Noone is gonna come to WT new And be like: Oh Cool I'm gonna grind Sweeden and Play a Saab 105... Its gonna get played by people who know how to counter all other planes it faces.
All vehicles in war thunder are balanced based on their relative performance, not on the year of introduction. It's why the HMS Dreadnought, a ship from 1906, is a full 2 battle ratings higher than the Albatros-Klasse ships, which were made 70 years later. Of course, the newer vehicles are going to have some design quirks which make them better than their older counterparts, but their advantages are typically offset by other factors like in the case of the MiG-9 and the SK60 is the MiG's superior top speed and in the case of the Dreadnought is the fact that it's a considerably higher weight class of ship.

As Reality Does not apply to Wt since the limitations both Technical and intentional in nature. To Present an example in plain sight. I will use M18 hellcat. Very capable and significant asset to US forces in WWII. Yet but a fraction of cancer that M18 is in WT. Why you might ask. Well because the 5 dude-bros inside didn't wanna get an 88 or any sort of swastika labeled hot Steel inside their vehicle. Which even if they survived they may be court-martialed for jeopardising greater goals of the Allied troop combined effort. So No YOLO Swag Rush cap-knife fighting Tigers. And yet it exists. Because WT. And because its easily abused. Such is in Planes Some advantages reap no benefits because of partial disbalanced implementation. And some have not so obvious but Significant advantages that literally make one player Sweat balls to get guns on target and the other Pull 12G at Near Full speed Because of technological refinement took 30 years but they aren't implemented as a factor. Its not A jet problem its a generation problem in WT but its most prominent in jets. 2 generations of vehicles have NO business fighting each other regardless of capabilities on paper. Aden cannons are not overpowered a t 7.3...... Compare that to the 262 cannons. They fire slow and the round is super slow as well. Those things are like death lasers. The cannons are but the plane itself isn't
Yea and you think you can outrun them in a straight line with a me262 they can cruse 700kmph+ in a straight line and with a shallow dive its no point and if that thing dosent catch you hes staying on your ass so other jets like F89 meteroid can come and adding missels to that plane like WTF players who use the B 29s climb to like 7km alt because 1 those guns dont do much damage and if they do you've already lost your tail or a wing 2 the shitty insane repair cost 3 if you successfully bombed all the targets and airbase they gonna camp up because if they try to land they gonna get intercepted and the repair cost still gonna be high than what the player has gained
It's an R2Y2 scenario, the plane is perfectly balanced, but the airspawn it has gives you a huge advantage over everyone else at the start of the match, when all the trash early Jets have barely any speed or altitude built up.
The airspawn helps a little but if you dont climb into it then it won't even be able to use its energy against you because it's so slow. If you just dive away from it or just straight line it cant touch you, even at the start of the game as long you dont climb directly into it
DEFYN yeah. Right now I get 2-3 kills right off the bat from me262s climbing very slow and I can just cut around the side and catch them all in the middle of their climb.
I love playing the 262 but my God is this BR unbalanced af. Everything does everything better than you do. There is absolutely no reason axis teams should ever win, especially since the allies have the Kikka's now to. Yet, I have a 53% winrate because I hardly ever see competent allied teams. Most of the losses aren't even everyone dying. A lot of the time it's just a B57 or B29 that went to space, or in the case of the B57 nobody can catch it.
I find the MiG 9 (not the late) to have a similar issue to the entry 262s where it honestly should either be at a lower br or some other kind if adjustments to the br range should be done for it to become competitive, considering the fact that the MiG 9 Late has better everything while remaining at the same br.
The issue i have is its horrible acceleration and because of it i cannot maintain my speed and i find myself being boom and zoomed or being killed from my 6.
It just is. There is NO way to counter this plane, if you play B29 or Tu. A plane like the B29 or any piston propelled aircraft should NEVER have to face guided missles.

That's on 2 maps, which you don't see a lot. Or at all. I have been playing this BR for the last week and ive seen a map like that once. On these maps, yes it's overpowered in the grand scheme of things it's not
Also might I add any plane will perform if the pilot is good so if u take the time to learn then mabye just mabye you will find yourself able to kill them. And the early jet 500 kmh thing dude like at this br this is prolly the slowest plane lol. Also defunct is right I never see those small maps ever. Yeah it's good at turning and rolling because it's a trainer plane and decent guns but that's basically it. It has a horrible acceleration and struggles to maintain its speed. Unlike the Saab 105G
The SK60 isn’t over powered it just makes other jets underpowered. In other turn fight jets now have to extend out most of the time and they are slow and get caught by other jets. So now you play fast jets or the SK60
Well I hate to break it to you but fighters/ attackers aren’t meant to be slow. The issu is pilots stall out infront of the sk60 or climb straight into the battlefield with no speed or just like dog fight horribly stall out and yeah booom

Ok. Play the me262 or the F3D and go against these sk60s 7 to 1 If your team only has one sk60 then they can take care of it, but if your whole team is mostly sk 60 who are always above you. And keep in mind this sk60 can technically go against the F8F-1B and P-51H-5

@@Hardie. Mk103 are indeed powerful but fire rate is abysmal. Type 5 is same as Mk103, except it sparks a lot. AN/M3 are good, but they are not nearly as powerful and ballistics are far behind.

It's a very yes and no in my opinion. It's VERY slow and is caught by everything but the actual performance of the plane is just fantastic. All comes down the the pilot really. If they play their cards right, it's the best 7.3 (debatable) in my opinion..
Well sure, till the enemy also plays their cards right. Almost anything can just ignore this thing and come back late game to clean it up. It's largely a pilot thing and this plane is easy to do well in in the average match. But you can't call a plane op for being easy when half the raster counters it completely

I disagree dude not everyone in the match uses it like you do . Adding manual guidance missel makes it even more shit and OP was in a b29 and someone with the S60 killed me from 6km away, they all rush to our airspawn as quick as possible and because of that me262 are useless because they can't gain that alt to go in a shallow dive to gain speed as you said they are faster than the S60 and when they reach to your spawn your just forced to be in a turn fight there nothing you can do that thing is very good in controls at slow speed fight like a zero as again me262 are useless they literally start to stall The airspawn ruins the matches The F80 The S60 Give an airspawn for the me262 because that plane was built to intercept bomers B29s can't even defend its self from me262 and now they add a jet which has missels and can destroy bomers 6-7 km away whats the point of high repair cost

I had the 60b for about a month and still don't have the rb05 and plus I'm on console so I'm not even sure I should get it

The 262 was built for boom - zooming play-style against enemy bombers, climb , dive , climb , rinse and repeat. could you possibly make a video playing any me 262 , on countering these flying cancers. At this point I've given up on the ME 262 , heck even the R2Y2 because of their expensive repair costs.
Something that makes me curious, is if the SK60 is decent at zoom climbing after short dives to store the energy (kind of like the old "MiG-15 vs Sabre" BnZ stuff)

As for the velocity, besides the fact that it fights Me-262s that have the MK108s, (the worst gun in the game), it's honestly quite similar to that of other cold war era 30mm cannons such as the DEFAs and the NR-30s for example
300 is already 50 shells more than the G91 R3 and it's enough to kill at the very least 4 aircrafts
The fire rate is enough to make the guns effective but not too high as to make you empty the magazines after a 1 second spray

@@gian.4388 First of all the G.91 R/3 doesn´t have adens, it has DEFA. As a matter of fact I would say DEFA is deadlier than adens, however they are pretty close. Also the DEFA 552 cannons found on the G.91 have a slightly higher muzzle velocity.
Second of all, my bad, they might be Adens, however the cannons on the SK60 are far apart and not nose mounted like the adens you might find on for example the hunter. For some reason, they are also drastically less accurate as they were made for the attacker role. Meaning that you have to spray more. Not to mention that the adens you find at top tier, are arguably easier to aim, as your jet would have higher speeds, therefore closing the distance faster and allowing you to shoot at the precise moment.
So unless you lead quite a lot or are within 0.2km you will not hit your target.
It´s kinda useless to compare this aircraft to the G.91 as that jet has much better flight performance and is within a totally different br bracket and meta.
So to conclude....is the akan on this thing good? Yes. Is it very good? I would say not really. But even then, they´re the only weapons it´s got, so it might be a bonus for the plane, but just like Defyn said, if you find an actually competitve pilot, unlike most of the people that think they can turn with it, then this thing won´t even come close to being able to do anything, especially if multiple people target it, or you find someone that climbs above you and knows how to energy fight, or if the people that are engaging just run away as most planes have better dive speed and overall speed than this thing.
And when I say run way, I mean actually run away, not dive doing some weird maneuvers in an F80 just because your plane rolls well.
But if you manage your energy and play your strength´s, or rather IT´S weaknesses you should be able to manage this thing.
Edit: And btw comparing it to the me262 is also kinda redundant in my opinion, as we all know the me262 is unfortunately kinda crap at this moment, so all other planes can dominate it, not just the sk60.
Oh and one last thing...DEFA and NR-30´s are actually kinda different...I would say adens are slightly similar to DEFA, and slightly less to NR-30´s.

Its really fun to dogfight sk60's in the a2d-1. I just climb above everyone then bnz starting at the highest alt enemy fighter first then turnfight as a last resort. The skyshark has an amazing rate of climb combined with its airspawn and 4 20mm cannons makes it a lot of fun!
Wish my any of my a2d teammates even understand what it means to climb. This thing is easily countered by a2d and i've had a match where 2/3 of my team is a2d and none of them even stay above 1.5km alt

Before the video, this definitely isn’t op. I’m not the best player but I’ve used both and had no issues countering them because you don’t have to turn. It also is difficult to escape after you get a kill if you actually have enemies that are keeping speed.
With the last update they actually destroyed its engines, literally, it doesn’t accelerate at all

well tbf, with A2D, if you have your payload, you are worse than a brick. You can only achieve inevitable headons with it when you have payload. Once you make 90 degree turn, you are slow brick.
The main weakness of the Sk60B is it's energy retention and weak engine

Sry M8 I will never agree to that statement. Before Mig 29s My country Used 21s and Domestic made Eagles and Hawks 25 years younger design. Although Neither were capable of Mach and played "second fiddle" to Mach 2 Mig. In a real life combat scenario Pilots compared them To Flying a Cesna vs getting yeeted in a tin bucket at Mach speed. And Migs were last ditch effort.
It matters and that's why WT is sick when it comes to BR and matchmaking.
Ease of use doesn't warrant BR and that's a problem. Mig 9 can go at higher speed but its an American car there It can only go straight. While you have almost 100% control at your top speed. Not even remotely relatable. And that's before you even mention armament.
Its only there because its no match for faster modern planes so let it club old planes because F old planes we need them to grind the new stuff.
Because face it Noone is gonna come to WT new And be like: Oh Cool I'm gonna grind Sweeden and Play a Saab 105...

All vehicles in war thunder are balanced based on their relative performance, not on the year of introduction. It's why the HMS Dreadnought, a ship from 1906, is a full 2 battle ratings higher than the Albatros-Klasse ships, which were made 70 years later. Of course, the newer vehicles are going to have some design quirks which make them better than their older counterparts, but their advantages are typically offset by other factors like in the case of the MiG-9 and the SK60 is the MiG's superior top speed and in the case of the Dreadnought is the fact that it's a considerably higher weight class of ship.

Factors other than Dry stats affect performance of ANY vehicle/vessel and play often significant impact to the final performance and ability of the operator.
Sadly WT implements such details yet it does not take them in consideration to nearly any reasonable degree.
As Reality Does not apply to Wt since the limitations both Technical and intentional in nature.
To Present an example in plain sight. I will use M18 hellcat. Very capable and significant asset to US forces in WWII. Yet but a fraction of cancer that M18 is in WT.
Why you might ask. Well because the 5 dude-bros inside didn't wanna get an 88 or any sort of swastika labeled hot Steel inside their vehicle. Which even if they survived they may be court-martialed for jeopardising greater goals of the Allied troop combined effort. So No YOLO Swag Rush cap-knife fighting Tigers. And yet it exists. Because WT. And because its easily abused. Such is in Planes Some advantages reap no benefits because of partial disbalanced implementation. And some have not so obvious but Significant advantages that literally make one player Sweat balls to get guns on target and the other Pull 12G at Near Full speed Because of technological refinement took 30 years but they aren't implemented as a factor.
Its not A jet problem its a generation problem in WT but its most prominent in jets. 2 generations of vehicles have NO business fighting each other regardless of capabilities on paper.

Aden cannons are not overpowered a t 7.3...... Compare that to the 262 cannons. They fire slow and the round is super slow as well. Those things are like death lasers.

3 if you successfully bombed all the targets and airbase they gonna camp up because if they try to land they gonna get intercepted and the repair cost still gonna be high than what the player has gained
It's an R2Y2 scenario, the plane is perfectly balanced, but the airspawn it has gives you a huge advantage over everyone else at the start of the match, when all the trash early Jets have barely any speed or altitude built up.
The airspawn helps a little
but if you dont climb into it then it won't even be able to use its energy against you because it's so slow.
If you just dive away from it or just straight line it cant touch you, even at the start of the game as long you dont climb directly into it
DEFYN yeah. Right now I get 2-3 kills right off the bat from me262s climbing very slow and I can just cut around the side and catch them all in the middle of their climb.
Well to fix this all you do is side climb boom, don’t rush into the battle straight away. Have patience

I love playing the 262 but my God is this BR unbalanced af. Everything does everything better than you do. There is absolutely no reason axis teams should ever win, especially since the allies have the Kikka's now to. Yet, I have a 53% winrate because I hardly ever see competent allied teams. Most of the losses aren't even everyone dying. A lot of the time it's just a B57 or B29 that went to space, or in the case of the B57 nobody can catch it.
I find the MiG 9 (not the late) to have a similar issue to the entry 262s where it honestly should either be at a lower br or some other kind if adjustments to the br range should be done for it to become competitive, considering the fact that the MiG 9 Late has better everything while remaining at the same br.
The issue i have is its horrible acceleration and because of it i cannot maintain my speed and i find myself being boom and zoomed or being killed from my 6.
It just is. There is NO way to counter this plane, if you play B29 or Tu. A plane like the B29 or any piston propelled aircraft should NEVER have to face guided missles.

Yeah it's good at turning and rolling because it's a trainer plane and decent guns but that's basically it. It has a horrible acceleration and struggles to maintain its speed. Unlike the Saab 105G

The SK60 isn’t over powered it just makes other jets underpowered. In other turn fight jets now have to extend out most of the time and they are slow and get caught by other jets. So now you play fast jets or the SK60
Well I hate to break it to you but fighters/ attackers aren’t meant to be slow. The issu is pilots stall out infront of the sk60 or climb straight into the battlefield with no speed or just like dog fight horribly stall out and yeah booom

If your team only has one sk60 then they can take care of it, but if your whole team is mostly sk 60 who are always above you. And keep in mind this sk60 can technically go against the F8F-1B and P-51H-5

@@Hardie. Mk103 are indeed powerful but fire rate is abysmal. Type 5 is same as Mk103, except it sparks a lot. AN/M3 are good, but they are not nearly as powerful and ballistics are far behind.

It's a very yes and no in my opinion. It's VERY slow and is caught by everything but the actual performance of the plane is just fantastic. All comes down the the pilot really. If they play their cards right, it's the best 7.3 (debatable) in my opinion..

Almost anything can just ignore this thing and come back late game to clean it up.
It's largely a pilot thing and this plane is easy to do well in in the average match.
But you can't call a plane op for being easy when half the raster counters it completely

Adding manual guidance missel makes it even more shit and OP was in a b29 and someone with the S60 killed me from 6km away, they all rush to our airspawn as quick as possible and because of that me262 are useless because they can't gain that alt to go in a shallow dive to gain speed as you said they are faster than the S60 and when they reach to your spawn your just forced to be in a turn fight there nothing you can do that thing is very good in controls at slow speed fight like a zero as again me262 are useless they literally start to stall
