I literally just finished rebuilding the 1st two huts and I’m so happy the engineering in legos has improved in the 15 years since. The paper roof in the 1st hut was not fun to deal with and this newest one looks great
As someone who has the original hut and been questioning the new one every time I see it in a store, I think I might just finally buy it. Your review is great! Just for entertainment as well as for helping with decisions :D

I remember the older one being very desirable, but the newer one is much better. With a great deal, no wonder you couldn’t resist! But I also am sentimental about older sets (like the Burrow) that I enjoyed so much I’m just not interested in the newer version.
I totally know what you mean. If you are looking for movie accurate, nicely detailed sets 2018+ is for you. but it is fun to have the olds sets too, to compare and to relive your childhood. They all have their own charm.
@@HighTeaToys You summed it up perfectly there - I'm a sucker for both eras and at times feel sort of selfish/over-privileged about wanting to own so many "duplicate" sets/settings (although the power of nostalgia definitely overpowers me, so the oldies excite me way more). Very neat video by the way, I love the classy and chill approach that doesn't neglect the excitement for li'l details :')
I think I prefer the 2019 set, because there's just so much to look at. The hut looks so professional and cool and the inside is very cosy. Also there are more minifigures. The 2019 set has more things for in- and outside. Though the 2004 set is still very nice!

I bought the latest Hagrids Hut from Tesco too when it was on promotion. I think it was around 33% off and is something that one just has to do 😀
