Loved the review. I am glad you pointed out everything you encountered in detail good and bad. Yours is the first honest review I have seen on this set. It is what I enjoy about your content. It is always from the heart and down to earth. Glad to see you back.
@@donmorano1374 this may just be a temporary return as FunWhole sent me this whilst I was on holiday so I felt obliged to review it. Also I was so stoked to see they started doing modulars I had to talk about it. The reason I’m not back for more is because I’ve got some eye and balance problems I’m trying to get diagnosed. Mauve if I can find a cure I will be making more videos again :)
I’m sorry to hear you are having some issues. I hope you will be good as new soon. You are greatly missed in the community. I wish you a speedy recovery
I have a few FunWhole sets. Every one is excellent! The design, quality, packaging and instructions are excellent. They do make a more mature design then the other company. FunWhole is now my number 1 choice for brick sets.
Wow that is a beautiful looking modular... I see a lot of non-Lego brands making really amazing stuff, stuff that i personally feel people would like to see Lego do but for whatever doesn't do. Always great seeing your inspirational videos... greetings from Brabant houdoe!!!
Very good review- you did point out a lot of specific issues that as you said were more “personal” dislikes. You are very good at doing Mods and Mocs so that is why you are more ”picky” imo as many of these issues can be said about some Lego sets also. The chandelier issue however is a definite real annoyance. I have watched many reviews also and yours was the first to point that out. I think I will wait and perhaps get the cafe set that will be coming out next probably at a lower price. Although the value is there (because it includes lighting) still a little higher in CAD for me personally. I have just purchased one of the Pantasy sets which I am very excited about. It is good to see some “valid “ competition out there. Have a great week
I have a few Funhole sets and I like them even though they do have some fit and finish issues. Different levels don't always fit down tight on the level below and sometimes tight fitting pieces can cause the floors to flex or warp. Also at times the instructions seem out of order where a piece would have been easier to fit a few steps earlier. These are minor issues and they still produce nice designs for a really good price. I'm sure they will get better with time. The best sets out there are the Pantasy sets. Their quality plus fit and finish is perfect. They also use printed pieces almost always. I also think they have the best instructions. It's nice to see we are getting these options when it comes to modulars.❤
Great review, really appreciate that you highlight both good parts and less good ones even if some are of personal taste. I am tempted by this seeing the interiors and printed parts. Decisions, decisions 🤯
You sealed the deal for me. I was wondering if it was a full modular. FO didn’t show any pictures of the back sides and the literature was sketchy. I have some baseplates on hand so I may put mine on one, as I am not a fun of the Mils system. I have the News Stand and the two cabins already, so FunWhole is becoming a regular part of my Lego room collection…..(may have to change the room name at some point.)))🙃😜 Cheers from Canada 👍😎😋🇨🇦
Thank you for the wonderfull review😊. I acrually thought the building was olive instead of tan and that the front door leads upstairs to a different thing (like a theater or somerhing), because there is already a door on the side. So i kinda get the whole AI angle. There is a few weird building decisions like a window behind the piano on the first floor and the groundfoor wall opening into a shelf and nothing else. Will you modify this? Oh and where did you see the pictures at roighly 15:40? I can't find them anywhere😅
The exposed studs aren't a deal breaker for me. So, I kind of disagree with that, I mean it gives it character (but that's my opinion). And for $160? And with a light kit? You sold me there.
I really like your videos and I understand they’re your personal opinions but I have to disagree on a couple of things, for me open studs isn’t an issue as it adds some character to the building. I didn’t have any issue with the chandelier, it is only attached by one stud but mine just dropped straight in. The roof does overhang the baseplate but again for me the just adds realism and doesn’t cause any issues as you showed at the end of the video, but again these are my opinions 😀 Everything else I completely agree and this is a great building.
A lot of buildings in nyc and France and everywhere I've traveled have exposed studs in real life so i can definitely see why that was done . My only real issue is that price it's very expensive. Interesting set though i still Don't know if i want to get this set honestly.
I'll cancel that out by subscribing. It's nice to see some healthy competition for Lego with a comparable product offering lighting, and an infinitely better price point.
Exposed studs = unfinished. I'm now here scratching my head looking at 80% of my collection which is from the 80s and 90s.

fun hole. that cracks me up everytime
Me too, it does not sound like a type of building blocks. Maybe I have a dirty mind!

Thank you, I appreciate the new video and your candid thoughts!
Always a lovely gift to see you upload! ❤
I have ordered this set. Thanks for pointing out both pros and cons. I'll look out for them, especially your chandelier issue. Great review 😊

I was thinking the same, non Lego brands are making quality creative sets.

Great review! So good to see you are back. I was afraid you gave up RUclips

Bought the set! The purchase definitely dented the bank! I hear that FunWhole is working on a Coffee Bookstore- is that true ?
