Greetings to all who love Science and History! The thesis that hunter-gatherers lived in the Đerdap gorge at the Lepenski Vir site is simply not acceptable or suitable for a settlement of about forty families, houses. So many people in one place are part of the organization and the collective. They were engaged in agriculture, hunting and fishing. They exchanged surplus goods, products between themselves and the neighboring local communities of the Danube flow, as well as the interior of the territory of today's Serbia and today's neighbors. Crazy people got to know each other and arranged weddings and friendships. The emergence of abundance has triggered other positive things as well. One of them is the worship of idols, deities, and inspiration as the art of making jewelry, utensils, and tools and creative work on figures and figurines that will become protectors of houses, settlements, and aesthetic values inspired by the man of our ancestors, Cro-Magnon primitive creators of European and world civilization. p.s. Through these human remains, the analysis of age by carbon dating and other modern known scientific methods should be done again with several samples (several times) to obtain accurate data on age, as opposed to earlier imprecise, illogical, and absurd various theses! - A friend of antiquities personally: Sima

Very, very interesting! But I was expecting some explanation for the killing with arrows much older, and a connection to the flodding of the Black Sea with migrations of more civilized people. Having been there many years ago, I still wonder about the people who built Gobekli Tepe and the "towns" with similar monuments now underwather owing to the dam. Did they migrate west in the same period to start a new civilization in Europe? And what about the peoples who used to live in the Doggerland? Thank you if you happen to read and answer a questtion after ten years! Sorry I found your lecture only now!

Why is Greece always referred to as Greece, when there were no Greeks there @ 6000 BC? Proto-Serbians/Slavs lived there at the time, Greeks came 1200 BC.

Black sea was a lake before 5.4kbce and no Bosperous which changes the view of the area and the dispersal from Anatolia. People need to use better maps, todays maps are rubbish.

Just so you know, “Treskavac” in Serbian means “Cobra” as the mountain top has a shape of a 🐍 snake’s head. A professor at the university of Edinburgh, respectfully, should do his research 🔬 in depth and not claim that it has “no meaning.” EVERY name has a meaning.

Ummm, no, me thinks academia's assumption that "Hunter Gatherers", were the predominant ppls pre history is proven to be preposterous.

Actually probably started in the middle east 10000yrs ago the Balkans probably quote cold. We know people spread world wide some in boats pre 10000 yrs ago and probably much earlier . Probably in the middle east in that period they had buildings and farms and were probably quite civilized not hunter gatherers. Whatever happened 12000 yrs ago (volcanic activity is known perhaps caused by a meteor hit??) Wiped out the earlier civilizations with floods climate problems etc etc and we had to start over again.
