    I agree with filter change every time you change the oil.. been doing that on my car for many years.

      Seams reasonable, besides a filter is between 10 to 15 dollars, cheap insurance

    Manual says 4.2 ltr when you replace filters as well. I used 4.1. You used 4.0. which one is correct??

    • @AlbesADV
      @AlbesADV  8 часов назад

      Whatever gets the level between min and max, when you do an oil change, some oil stays trapped inside the engine, so the quantity may vary. I'm pretty sure that if you do a full rebuild of the engine it will take exactly 4.2 ltr

    Thanks for this. Decided to start doing my own work now the bike is out of warranty. The 8000 mile service is only an oil change and 'check and adjust' after all. Do you plan to do the dreaded valve check yourself? I've seen the procedure and it looks like a real PITA! My dealer recommended skipping the 16,000 mile check and doing it at 32,000 instead (As long as the bike starts and runs well). Mine is at 24,000 and runs fine so far.

    • @AlbesADV
      @AlbesADV  Год назад

      Yes, I'm planning on doing it myself, I'm pretty sure the valve will be fine at 16000, meaning they will probably not need to be adjusted, but I'm still going to check. If you do skip the valve check keep your ears open when you ride, way before any damage will occur the bike will not run right so if you pay attention you might be able to tell.
      I'm glad you are doing your own maintenance 👍with the manual on hand nothing is really hard, it's just time consuming 😆

      @@AlbesADV Thanks Albe. That's the thing - none of these procedures are beyond the scope of a decent DIYer, you just need time and LOTS of patience. Ride safe.

      No oil consumption other than the one that gets trapped on the crank case breather hose

    • @AlbesADV
      @AlbesADV  Год назад +2

      @fabimesizae si, l'unica cosa in più che devi fare è cambiare anche il filtro olio frizione che si trova dalla parte del DCT davanti alla pedana e assicurati che la parte del filtro che dice "out side" sta verso fuori.

    Would you use a fuel additive like redex? Also, as this bike has a cat, would you use cataclean?

    • @AlbesADV
      @AlbesADV  Год назад +1

      No, I don't add anything to the fuel, just use good quality fuels, modern fuels already have additives in it

    • @terrystratford1235
      @terrystratford1235 Год назад +1

      @@AlbesADV true! I was wondering if it would harm or benefit the system? Fuel doesn't clean the catalyst, so would a cat cleaner help? I personally only use shell e5 99ron,it's the best!

    • @AlbesADV
      @AlbesADV  Год назад +1

      I'm not sure if cat cleaner would help, I know it has to go thru the whole system before it makes it to the cat. I agree on the shell fuel being one of the best if not the best

    • @terrystratford1235
      @terrystratford1235 Год назад +1

      @@AlbesADV just done some research. Yes, the cat and o2 sensor need to be periodically cleaned to maintain performance! Recommended at every oil change, so every 5-6000 miles or so! 👍

    Can I use synthetic 5w30?

    • @AlbesADV
      @AlbesADV  Год назад

      Hi, the 5w-30 provides better cold weather start because it flows better, on the other hand, the thicker 10w-30 it's a little more protective in warm weather, but once the engine is running they will perform in about the same way 👍

    Not sure how i feel about putting torque specs behind a paywall. Kinda makes every how-to video on your channel useless, when i can go watch the next guys video with all the information i need for free. Gonna be honest, it's disappointing behavior. If people are going to support you as a creator, they are gonna do it because they like your content, not because they can get freely available info directly from you.

    • @AlbesADV
      @AlbesADV  7 месяцев назад +1

      When I started, I was giving all the torque specs in all the videos to everybody, as a thank you, I was being blamed and receiving a ton of "not so nice" messages by people that broke something while fixing their bikes, claiming it was becauseof my torquespecs ( taken from the OEM maintenance manual BTW). So I decided to give them to fewer people, that are more invested in the channel.
      All the torque specs are freely available on the internet just by doing a little search, it's more a matter of convenience rather than money making and offers a little buffer for me. So, I'm sorry to disappoint I really am but I learned that, "no good deed goes unpublished on the Internet"
