- Good evening my beautiful ASMR family! ^.^ Let's do a good old school video of ironing and folding with a sprayer and a lint roller today. ♥ I love to iron and it was hard for me to hold back the excitement hehehe, so I got all smacky and sassy in this video with some wisdom outpouring that I hope will be fun and relaxing for you to watch :D

OMGosh, I used to watch my mother iron, and she did it much like this. Slow and careful, sometimes talking/whispering about what she was doing, sometimes humming, sometimes staying so quiet I could hear her breathing. One of my best childhood memories.
I am incredibly impressed by anyone who has the time, patience and dedication to iron their clothes. I'm waaaaaay too lazy for that life 😂

This is what asmr is actually about, imo. Getting back to what gave me asmr in the first place, watching someone complete a task in a slow, gentle way while speaking in a soothing voice. Martha Stewart was the first one to give me that feeling lol. Please do more videos like this!! Thank u :)

The first time I've ever experienced ASMR was when my grandmother was ironing clothes, talking about her childhood in such a relaxing voice. So I'm in love with this video!
The way the lint roller sounds and the way you say "pick up" have me melting into a pile of laundry on my bed that will never know the pleasures of being ironed...

Soooo I never knew that there was a technical term for the sensation I got from hearing certain voices whispering or certain sounds that made me feel almost instantly numb and paralyzed (in the good way of course) until I found out about Ms. Maria. I discovered her in 2015 while I was deployed over seas. I was homesick, missed my son, had a real hard time sleeping. So I'd watch parts of movies on RUclips that put me to sleep like Christopher Lloyd in the pagemaster or the old lady in the first poltergeists, ya know, the scene where she's talkin to the mom on the couch? Anyway, a random video popped up about "tapping cards and notebooks" and it was sub labeled ASMR. Of course I researched that, found out I'm effected heavily by it and went on a binge for almost a straight year, been subscribed since then. So Maria thank you so much for this gift. I'm heading back over seas next year somewhere around this time. So just know that your coming with me to Iraq :) metaphorically that is. Thank you in advance for helping me sleep next year, even tonight. You have a rare gift:)

Chris Rose honestly lol, I use to be really bad at math as a kid and so they sent me to the special math class 😭. But the instructor's voice was so pleasant and similar to ASMR I still couldn't concentrate and didn't know why. I'd rather listen to him but not retain.

Maria, i love what you said about ironing clothes for someone else compared to cooking for example. It's something that shows you care, you take some time to do something for someone else, something that hasn't got any effect on you. I consider it a small gesture that might make the other person feel good and confident.

I turned 18 today and I was on a school field trip to Washington DC and 91 students paid $1200 to come up here and see the inauguration and the company we used didn't get us in and refuses to give us compensation.Everyone has been upset since Friday. Today everyone was at each others throats and people were just sobbing left and right and I was forced to console people for my entire birthday. Then my teacher starts telling my good friend that he isn't good enough for his girlfriend and it's absolutely ridiculous. So I'm so happy that Maria posted a video today. This was the perfect birthday surprise to make me feel better about how awful things have been. Thank you Maria. You are a lovely and talented woman who has found a unique way to make a positive difference in the world. You are the change this world needs.

Holy cow , i dreamt about it for years and someone - you ! - did it ! When i was a little girl , i wouldn't have missed my nanny ironing for the world . It was such a break of peace and bliss to me ... Then i grew up and now it's me who's ironing but it doesn't have the same ring and nobody whispers in my ears ... there is just something so relaxing about watching and listening to someone ironing clothes. I think it has a lot to do with growing up and watching mum iron as we got ready to go out. This was very relaxing and helped calm me after a day filled with nothing but literature homework. thank you for sharing.

Same here. I think wrinkeled clothes have a lot of personality which brings out the full potential of a fabric! Ironed clothes don't feel "alive" to me

The water droplets hitting the jeans (could almost feel some hit my arms), the lint roller (oh my god that lint roller!) and the slow, patient turning of the jeans ... tingles!

Aww. I'm sorry about your nightmares. When I was little my parents bought me a stuffed animal snake, (I hated snakes and was sooo scared of them) and they said it was a safety snake. And I'm sitting thinking... Aw I miss safety snake, haha. This helps much more! (Sorry for the random story) x3

Yep, Chicken, I'm the same way. I had hair her color as a child, but it got darker with age so I dye it to keep it the color it used to be.
