I wish I'd seen this sooner. I'm in tears as I watch this. I'm also a veteran (USMC 1969 - 1973; Vietnam '71 - '72). God bless you Spencer, for what you are doing, especially helping that vet. I'm 72 and still cut my own yard, but it's quite steep especially the driveway as it almost 45 degrees vertical and about 35 yards long with a bend in the center then up another 45 degrees and 35 yards to the top. I live on the side of a mountain in eastern Tennessee. I can't even use a lawnmower. Since everything is so steep I cannot use a lawnmower. I have to weed eat 1.7 acres. I've had numerous heart attacks and finally open heart surgery with a triple by-pass. I've also had a stroke back on 7/15/2017 and a stint put in in 9/19. Only thing I want are your prayers. For a veteran to say “I’ve never been given this much money” is a tragedy in and of itself; our country should be taking care of these people for the rest of their lives. Our Veterans, just like many elders on Social Security DIDN'T MAKE much money, back when they may have started work you were paid maybe a dollar a day, depending on your profession and many military men made even LESS, THEREFORE THEIR MILITARY RETIREMENT PAY IS LOW, EVEN IF THEY RETIRED AT 20-30 YEARS same with SS recipients, AND TO TOP IT ALL OF, SOME OF THE VERY ELDERLY WORKED BEFORE SS WAS EVEN BEGUN.

This Navy veteran thanks you for helping this Army veteran. Many times in spite of a person's best intentions, burdens of living can overwhelm them. A spouse or partner passes, medical bills become excessive, cost of living goes up, etc. You not only gave this man hope, but I'm certain also relief. I don't know this man's story, I'm not a veteran... just a 65-yr.-old man who was moved to tears by this video and how all involved positively affected this older gentleman. People are truly good at heart, and want to help... sometimes we get overwhelmed at all the places that need us, and do nothing. This brought me to tears, my dad was also a vet, he worked his ass off his whole life, and constant himself back helping others, in the end of his life non of those people came back to help him, I lived with him so I could take care of him, i found him face down in his room at 330 am, I did my best to Try to save his life but unfortunately he was already gone when I found him, he could never get a break in life like you gave his fellow vet, since he has passed I've lost everything myself, my family, my job, it's not easy in the world today to survive, but I am glad to see at least the vets are getting help from places cause the VA system is so much a pain I'm the ass for vets to deal with, thank you for helping this vet out, it brought me to tears, I wish my dad had caught a break like that, he deserved it, life was never easy on him, he had a heart of gold but life just kept hitting him hard constantly, thank you sb mowing, thank you

This was just too much this morning. Between the tears and the joy and all the love going around, it made my entire day. I was glad to be a part of helping this man, and I would do it again if he ever fell into dire straights. No shame in a veteran receiving help. Also, as long as you serve you have free medical. Go to VA and get signed up. Nobody in America should EVER go hungry!❤

Could none of his neighbors even run a weed eater?Took a total stranger and hundreds of other strangers to help this VET! He risked his LIFE and his physical health for us. I was driving my son to school and noticed an elderly man struggling to cut his grass. I dropped off my son and then stopped and offered to cut the grass for him. He was grateful for the help. I'm a 50 year old lady!

Here in my city there was this old man who had the most beautiful blue ocean eyes well he was always asking under the freeway and I would always help him so one day that there was not allot of traffic we talked and told me he was a veteran and that he had a bad knee and showed me, and that the gov would not help him and he was in a bad shape but one day I would look everywhere and well I tough maybe he wasn't feeling right so another day and another pass till I saw a cross on his spot but the stupid city took it down my heart felt to the grown and my tears rolled down I cant believe how bad they do the veterans who did allot in this cruel world ..Rip Mike ..not to mention there was a guy who roast him on social media about asking while he can work on anything my blood boiled and I started going at him and told him his story and about his leg next thing u know he deleted and apologize ..I cant stand ppl talking down on ppl asking for money when they don't know their story especially allot of veterans ..

I wish I'd seen this sooner. I'm in tears as I watch this. I'm also a veteran (USMC 1969 - 1973; Vietnam '71 - '72). God bless you Spencer, for what you are doing, especially helping that vet. I'm 72 and still cut my own yard, but it's quite steep especially the driveway as it almost 45 degrees vertical and about 35 yards long with a bend in the center then up another 45 degrees and 35 yards to the top. I live on the side of a mountain in eastern Tennessee. I can't even use a lawnmower. Since everything is so steep I cannot use a lawnmower. I have to weed eat 1.7 acres. I've had numerous heart attacks and finally open heart surgery with a triple by-pass. I've also had a stroke back on 7/15/2017 and a stint put in in 9/19. Only thing I want are your prayers. For a veteran to say “I’ve never been given this much money” is a tragedy in and of itself; our country should be taking care of these people for the rest of their lives. Instead, we find them living in shanties and far too many living on the streets; American has got to do better. Thank you, Spencer, for changing the world one by one.

Our Veterans, just like many elders on Social Security DIDN'T MAKE much money, back when they may have started work you were paid maybe a dollar a day, depending on your profession and many military men made even LESS, THEREFORE THEIR MILITARY RETIREMENT PAY IS LOW, EVEN IF THEY RETIRED AT 20-30 YEARS same with SS recipients, AND TO TOP IT ALL OF, SOME OF THE VERY ELDERLY WORKED BEFORE SS WAS EVEN BEGUN.

This Navy veteran thanks you for helping this Army veteran. Many times in spite of a person's best intentions, burdens of living can overwhelm them. A spouse or partner passes, medical bills become excessive, cost of living goes up, etc. You not only gave this man hope, but I'm certain also relief. I've been watching your videos for a couple of months now, and this is by far the best one. This brought me to tears, my dad was also a vet, he worked his ass off his whole life, and constant himself back helping others, in the end of his life non of those people came back to help him, I lived with him so I could take care of him, i found him face down in his room at 330 am, I did my best to Try to save his life but unfortunately he was already gone when I found him, he could never get a break in life like you gave his fellow vet, since he has passed I've lost everything myself, my family, my job, it's not easy in the world today to survive, but I am glad to see at least the vets are getting help from places cause the VA system is so much a pain I'm the ass for vets to deal with, thank you for helping this vet out, it brought me to tears, I wish my dad had caught a break like that, he deserved it, life was never easy on him, he had a heart of gold but life just kept hitting him hard constantly, thank you sb mowing, thank you

This was just too much this morning. Between the tears and the joy and all the love going around, it made my entire day. I was glad to be a part of helping this man, and I would do it again if he ever fell into dire straights. I was driving my son to school and noticed an elderly man struggling to cut his grass. I dropped off my son and then stopped and offered to cut the grass for him. He was grateful for the help. Hey Marine, if you're a recent combat vet I think there's now a DEADLINE for applying for VA comp and services. It is fast approaching. At least get the paperwork in... also: your sacrifices are understood and appreciated by this old sailor.
This is fantastic. These elderly veterans should not be living in poverty. I hope the TV stations donate their profit, as well.
This touched my heart. The veteran probably would never ask for help, but you could tell how much it meant to him. I hope he will use some of the money to fix his house. @@justmejustine1958 YES YES YES please wear a mask, everyone, when blowing with those blowers. The particulates are microscopic and lodge in the lungs and they do not exit. Please wear a mask and ear protection as well, over time there is hearing loss from the use of blowers.

Alot of the younger generation and a lot of people in the actual years of Vietnam war! What our men went through ! My stepdad was a vet! Here in my city there was this old man who had the most beautiful blue ocean eyes well he was always asking under the freeway and I would always help him so one day that there was not allot of traffic we talked and told me he was a veteran and that he had a bad knee and showed me, and that the gov would not help him and he was in a bad shape but one day I would look everywhere and well I tough maybe he wasn't feeling right so another day and another pass till I saw a cross on his spot but the stupid city took it down my heart felt to the grown and my tears rolled down I cant believe how bad they do the veterans who did allot in this cruel world ..Rip Mike ..not to mention there was a guy who roast him on social media about asking while he can work on anything my blood boiled and I started going at him and told him his story and about his leg next thing u know he deleted and apologize ..I cant stand ppl talking down on ppl asking for money when they don't know their story especially allot of veterans ..
