Really appreciate your input on these DLCs, subbed for the detailed info you put into your vids. I personally feel the blood and sands DLC would great in construction because it not only fits with the rough Conan asthetic, but also the curved roof tiles make for great Bridges and dungeons!
I'm honestly brand new to Exiles and haven't scooped up any DLC yet, but wow did this game come along at just the right time for me. Loving these systems and am super grateful for your beginners vids! Really enjoying them all.
I've so far only been playing single player sporadically and considering a new DLC or 2, and I've LOVED your input on every aspect of each! You break down every pro/con of each construction/placeable/weapons and armor of each, no obnoxious fan fare and get right to how they look in every video. Good on you sir! Enjoyed watching many of these!
My additions to your commentary: DEBAUCHERIES OF DERKETO: - The clothing is the cost of silk and twine, so its very cheap in the begining and they grant you +2 encumbrance. And for that points, you don't need a t4 armorer. This stand to the jewelry too, but with agility. KHITAN DLC: - I use the heavy Khitan armor to farm on the north, because this have encumbrance and cold resist. (medium armor mentioned elsewhere) - Sometimes I build a red room with khitan walls, then I attach my chosen style material foundations from the outside, to cover and hide the red room. - Khitan light headpiece uncover my character's head. PICTISH DLC: - I use the heavy armor, because that have strength (on the north, I can alternatively use the Khitan or Turan medium for strength) - If I ever build stairs, I always use the special looking frontier stairs with rails. No other stairs used by me. - And yup, I like the design of the inner side of the walls, and downside of the ceilings too. YAMATAI DLC: (and you pronounced the name perfectly) - I use the heavy armor, because that give vitality. - I personally not the fan of this building style, but for me the foundations and wedge foundations have an awesome rocky style, so if I build a little style-cabin-thing I always attach a chimney to my house from the outside with that blocks. - For my taste, I like the original skins of the pets, but this dlc contains a crocodile and hyena skins, what are pretty good. Just in my opinion of course. HYBORIAN DLC: - I use for myself, or for defender thralls the heavy Poitain armor for its accuracy. - The skin of the two-handed hammer is the one of the best for me. BLOOD AND SAND: (This is the only dlc I don't have) - The heavy armor is the same as pictish, it gives strength and heat resist. - The medievel castle type stye is my favourite, but I use the basic Reinforced Stone type for standard. And whatever everybody seys and because I mostly play pvp, Black Ice is the cheapest. - So I don't have the benefit to buy this for now, but when I will buy it, will be the first on my list because the medieval style pieces. TURANIAN DLC: - Yes, if I have to build pillars, I only use turan pillars. - Medium armor can be an alternative str type at North. - The heavy armor with color of black&white, but change on the headpiece for me is the most attractive. Yes, it is covers the female body, but still it's the best looking from all heavy in my opinion. AQUILONIAN DLC: - I cannot add anything more to your commentary. All dlc-s: - All epic-flawless version of bows are very cheap and useful. So my subjective list is here: 1, Aquilonian 2, Turanian 3, Frontier 4, Derketo 5, Hyborian 6, Khitan 7, Yamatai 8, Blood and Sand

@@Hinoa94 Well, in performance, I just have general experiments or monitorings. If I build a very huge building, whatever the material, its always smooth, no lagg. If I come home, and start to load in, there is a lag, and sometimes stamina bug, but its okay, it will ends fast. But... if I put out the crafting tables, torches, thralls, decorations, maybe t3 temples, the performance for me is terrible. Neverending lagging, althought at night time the performance is always reset to good enough. And for me isnt matter the material. But its maybe because I dont have the proper quality computer things, so I cannot help you with that, but maybe someone, who can, will see us and can answer.
Debaucheries of Derketo Pack is my favorite pack for immersion and rp. It's a breath of fresh air for cosmetics and decoration. Really makes my bases look lived in and my characters fleshed out.

Riders of hyborea! This game could use more mounts although I'm happy they have strayed away from becoming ark keeping ground combat relevant or at least viable
Black n White Horses are DLC. Thats why we need to buy the Riders of Hyboria. Its the best. Almost perfect. The only thing missing from it is new building pieces n placables from the Poitaine culture.
New to the game and coming in a bit late to this vid, but I enjoyed it. It was very helpful. Only construtive criticism I had would be to maybe showcase all the content rather than just the building pieces. Show us the armor, the war paint, the weapons, the saddles, etc. Otherwise, well made, too the point, informative. Thank you!

thanks for the vid , I got the game over xmas and looked at all the dlc's but wasn't sure as to what to get as some looked good but had a high negative review , so I ended up not getting any of them and just tried out the base game which im enjoying , now you have gone and thrown a spanner in the works as I might have to go back and see which dls to get going from the points you made in your vid … ahh the conundrum
Your ranking of #1 and #2 are the most aesthetically appealing to me as well. I have been thinking quite a bit about the DLC on the game recently, because the Riders pack seemed so nested in the introduction of the mounts and all that goes along with them. This video was quite helpful! I agree that the ability to have a white or black horse is very compelling (nearly worth the $10 to start). Blood and Sand looked very interesting as well. I would have liked to have had a look at armor and weapons from each pack (something for a future video, maybe?)!

Like the video. Your ranking list make sense and I get why you rank them in the position that you did. 5,6,7, and 8 I might switch them around maybe even 4. In no particular order. I like jewel of the west, seekers of the dawn, treasures of turan, and blood and sand. No need for me to enter the contest I play on console and already have all the dlc.
I really like the Blood and Sand Pack the most. Contrary to your opinion, I really liked the Bear Shaman set. The gladiator aesthetic fits well too for a bit of RP and incentivizing organized PVP. Definitely my favorite set of the DLC packs.
I think you nailed it with the rankings. Blood-n-sand definitely has some great build options especially for my personal taste, but the West is the best rounded of the packs IMHO. I'm a builder at heart, so if Steam ever does a really good sale on these, I'll likely buy them all.
No, the Greek is everyone's number 1 is because it's white, and nothing else. I say the Dlc armour with +strength or +survival are the best. Strength being for PvP and Survival being for Harvesting. Being a harvester, I spend 80% of my time in the Epic Pictish Brave +9 Survival armour.
Get yourself full set of the chosen of asura "armour" (+15 survival), black blood tools (+5 survival) and you get to the second perk of this attribute without investing a single point in it :) For me DLCs are cosmetics only, you can get all cool stats with base game content.
I wouldn't spend another dime until they get the basics of the game fixed. Thralls not fighting, or just going invisible on you , corpses going invisible so you can't loot. On official servers you shouldn't place an armored animal pen on the ground in your base and have it decayed in 10 hours when you log on the next day. Thralls and animals eat 15 times their weight in food which is ridiculous. There are so many glaring issues with the game that you would assume it is still in pre-release. Not going on 2 years after full release.
I have the vanilla game I enjoy it so much despite being so hard when playing alone but I think that a DLC value depends a lot on what you expect as a player to receive according to your own way of playing for me thinking as a player they all complement between them of course, this is how the developer wants so you have to buy them all, in the end, you have to get them all to play fully with people online.
Tecnically ALL DLC daggers are slightly better than the vanilla, not in damage and durability, but a pair of iron daggers require leather branch and iron, DLC daggers at least requite "only" branches and iron, no leather, in the levels upto you make steel this is a slight advantage
I wish you would've focused more on the actual set pieces, armors and placeables rather than trying to climb each foundation to see if it hurts your toon. None of the weapons and armors are showcased, and half of the placeables that you took the time out to place wasn't even in the frame. Like "Oh cool I didn't know Treasures of Turan added caravan elephants and rhinos" but then it only appeared between 14:27 to 14:34 and they are at the edge of the screen and only the rhinos are visible.

Just back in game and I have none of the dlcs so that help me decide if I want them or not. The one for sure I am getting the pack animal one no question. I might get all the other ones because I always a complete game lol. But the pack animal got my attention. Tks for this video.
The game is fun for new players as it has a lot to do. However, if you play on a server, and lot your local PC or Console, you may have a different experience. Cheers!
The info was good but the way you fumbled your character pov was frustrating. Why did you spawn the animal skins and then not even walk up to or show them?

Right now I like Blood and Sand, because this DLC is really fits Conan universe. If at some point grim look will become tiresome, I would build something in roman or eastern style.
Just got the game and was wondering if you have to have the DLC in order to play on someone else server who does have the DLC? I know in some games you're able to experience DLC if you play in another persons world, was wondering if its the same in CE.
No, DLC's are only cosmetic. If someone has the DLC and they are the only one that can craft and repair those items. Anyone can sure them, but you need the DLC to craft and repair them. Cheers!
Just wondering, why wasn't Riddle of Steel ranked as well? It's a bit cheaper and not included in the Season Pass 2, but it still adds 30 Statues, 5 Helmets, 5 Placeables and 3 Warpaints.
....That’s a tough one… I have all of them so I don’t need the key but if I had to vote I would say probably the Pictish or the Apollonian simply based on the armor’s and the way they help… If I had to go building pieces definitely arena
I cant count how many times the horse has been the reason why i got killed since it ALWAYS traps one to an enemy and you cant get unstuck. Doesnt matter if you set it to guard far away, it will tp to you if you get hit. So any Horse related DLC will be at the bottom for me.
OK, I need to go see a shrink. Because the FOV this guys is playing Exiles with... Seriously, I'm curious. What do you guys use, in Settings? I use 75 on Vertical, and 91.3 on Horizontal (FOV)
Similar tastes, definitely like the Aquilonian armor and weapons the best and the Turan building pieces the best out of all the DLC so those would be hard to pick between. I thought the Yamatai animal skins were fugly as hell.

My favorite so far is blood and sand, because that is the only one I have for now lol. But I’d probably get the aquilonian next for the armors. Not big on the roman look, I like a more medieval conan style. They should make a dark SET style pack with darkened stone building pieces and some badass evil looking armors 😈

Correct. The complete edition would get you the game and all 8 DLCs. The deluxe edition will only get you the game and the 4 DLCs from season 1 last year. Cheers!
I know that you posted in depths but you were using consoles, and you did not showcase armor or weapons, for an all in one visual for all DLC's I would have preferred you atleast showed them all off in the b-roll footage
for me the Turan DLC is the only usefull. I have build in the northern region near the dam and you really need a cold protection Armor. There is really no armor in the game thats in some kind attractive to me and offers heat. Except of Turan. All 3 armor kinds have lots of fabric so colours like black and white are perfect bright and shiny and the style is a 10/10. I would buy it only because of the armor!

Jewel of the west is the best IMO too. The buildings feel alive and love how the weapons look, especially the warhammer!

Frontier for armor (mainly thrall) by far and riders for new pvp meta armor, The heavy with + acc is a great choice.

Like the video. Your ranking list make sense and I get why you rank them in the position that you did. 5,6,7, and 8 I might switch them around maybe even 4. In no particular order. I like jewel of the west, seekers of the dawn, treasures of turan, and blood and sand. No need for me to enter the contest I play on console and already have all the dlc.

I really like the Blood and Sand Pack the most. Contrary to your opinion, I really liked the Bear Shaman set. The gladiator aesthetic fits well too for a bit of RP and incentivizing organized PVP. Definitely my favorite set of the DLC packs.

I think you nailed it with the rankings. Blood-n-sand definitely has some great build options especially for my personal taste, but the West is the best rounded of the packs IMHO. I'm a builder at heart, so if Steam ever does a really good sale on these, I'll likely buy them all.

No, the Greek is everyone's number 1 is because it's white, and nothing else. I say the Dlc armour with +strength or +survival are the best. Strength being for PvP and Survival being for Harvesting. Being a harvester, I spend 80% of my time in the Epic Pictish Brave +9 Survival armour.
Get yourself full set of the chosen of asura "armour" (+15 survival), black blood tools (+5 survival) and you get to the second perk of this attribute without investing a single point in it :) For me DLCs are cosmetics only, you can get all cool stats with base game content.

I wouldn't spend another dime until they get the basics of the game fixed. Thralls not fighting, or just going invisible on you , corpses going invisible so you can't loot. On official servers you shouldn't place an armored animal pen on the ground in your base and have it decayed in 10 hours when you log on the next day. Thralls and animals eat 15 times their weight in food which is ridiculous. There are so many glaring issues with the game that you would assume it is still in pre-release. Not going on 2 years after full release.

I have the vanilla game I enjoy it so much despite being so hard when playing alone but I think that a DLC value depends a lot on what you expect as a player to receive according to your own way of playing for me thinking as a player they all complement between them of course, this is how the developer wants so you have to buy them all, in the end, you have to get them all to play fully with people online.

Tecnically ALL DLC daggers are slightly better than the vanilla, not in damage and durability, but a pair of iron daggers require leather branch and iron, DLC daggers at least requite "only" branches and iron, no leather, in the levels upto you make steel this is a slight advantage

I wish you would've focused more on the actual set pieces, armors and placeables rather than trying to climb each foundation to see if it hurts your toon. None of the weapons and armors are showcased, and half of the placeables that you took the time out to place wasn't even in the frame. Like "Oh cool I didn't know Treasures of Turan added caravan elephants and rhinos" but then it only appeared between 14:27 to 14:34 and they are at the edge of the screen and only the rhinos are visible.

Right now I like Blood and Sand, because this DLC is really fits Conan universe. If at some point grim look will become tiresome, I would build something in roman or eastern style.

Just got the game and was wondering if you have to have the DLC in order to play on someone else server who does have the DLC? I know in some games you're able to experience DLC if you play in another persons world, was wondering if its the same in CE.
No, DLC's are only cosmetic. If someone has the DLC and they are the only one that can craft and repair those items. Anyone can sure them, but you need the DLC to craft and repair them. Cheers!

It's a bit cheaper and not included in the Season Pass 2, but it still adds 30 Statues, 5 Helmets, 5 Placeables and 3 Warpaints.

I cant count how many times the horse has been the reason why i got killed since it ALWAYS traps one to an enemy and you cant get unstuck. Doesnt matter if you set it to guard far away, it will tp to you if you get hit.
So any Horse related DLC will be at the bottom for me.

I used to play with default FOV, but then I took a arrow in the eye retina.
Similar tastes, definitely like the Aquilonian armor and weapons the best and the Turan building pieces the best out of all the DLC so those would be hard to pick between. I thought the Yamatai animal skins were fugly as hell.

My favorite so far is blood and sand, because that is the only one I have for now lol. But I’d probably get the aquilonian next for the armors. Not big on the roman look, I like a more medieval conan style. They should make a dark SET style pack with darkened stone building pieces and some badass evil looking armors 😈

for me the Turan DLC is the only usefull. I have build in the northern region near the dam and you really need a cold protection Armor. There is really no armor in the game thats in some kind attractive to me and offers heat. Except of Turan. All 3 armor kinds have lots of fabric so colours like black and white are perfect bright and shiny and the style is a 10/10. I would buy it only because of the armor!
