When the U.S. was pulled into WW2, one of the first things they did was send people to South America to lock down the coffee supply. They bought the entire output of the continent before it was even harvested.
I love all the VA on this channel, so please don't take this as throwing shade on the other VAs in the least. You're my favorite. I enjoy your efforts to create distinct voices.
...They are lucky that the Captain managed to acquire some coffee. Had they not been able to, the Citizens would have rioted. Funnily enough, Coffee was said to have originally been discovered in 840AD when a Goat herder named Kaldi found his Goats bouncing around after consuming some Coffee Cherries, with the herder trying some for himself and entering a state of Euphoria. That kind of means that if someone uplifted Goats, they'd be amongst the crew members that would riot the _SECOND_ they find out that the Coffee machine broke... And Goats (which are already quite strong as is), enhanced with _Exoskeletons_ would result in a LOT of ruined bulkheads and gored troopers. Interestingly enough, the Description of the Exorigs make me think of the Exoskeletons from [The Surge]. It is funny how Getrizh gave the cover story for the destroyed camera... And I imagined the Heavy Weapons guy being that "Very Fat Man who sat on the camera and didn't give it back".
Farallon Islands off San Francisco is renowned as one apex of the Triangle of Death -- great white sharks. Great video! Thank you! For the Embodied Voice! For the Math Homework! For Hot and Cold Running War Boomerwaffen! With energy!
Honestly the only issue is the AI art. It's not BAD, I just find it morally meh. But heck, I'd rather see paid VA's and deal with AI art than ai VA and paid art.
I mean if they paid for an artist to do the art that would take a very long time to get the episodes out because real art takes a lot of time and im sure the VAs also take quite some time to do the voices correctly and all the editing to make it sound right but honestly that art would prob take the longest to get right if they did pay for artists but yeah would be great if they did pay for real art but damn i feel like they would struggle doing daily uploads with real art
@deathdrop if you're talking about high-quality finished works, yes pika But I think colored sketches, even courtroom-quality, would be good. It would be cute and still get things across, and most importantly, would be consistent
I switched to instant about 15 years ago after seeing too many moldy coffee makers, then quit using those small creamer cups after getting a few very spoiled one.
The simpler the coffee-making method the better. Usually easier to clean too. My go to these days is an AeroPress, but a cheap pourover cone or a French press work great too. I skip the creamer and use real milk or half and half.
@@StarboundHFY I have listened to them and some of them seem to be in some sort of an order. However, having said that a person talking to you about episodes of experience doesn't necessarily have to do it in order either.
@@StarboundHFY i beg to disagree on that since listening to them in chronological order from oldest to newest it starts with frairen starting her training on earth.
@StarboundHFY Considering there is also an overarching plot in the background with humans taking the leadership position of the galaxy, I would also argue that there is indeed an order to them, even if some of the entries are irrelevant to said plot.
@StarboundHFY Hard disagree with ya. There is absolutely a chronological order with their stories. I see the playlist has been put back in order, but it is technically backwards. I get that it makes the newest episode visible, autoyou have to fight against the autoplay to go to the next episode instead of the previous one. If you see this comment, could you also return it to the original order as well (the one with Frairen's training as the start instead of the end)?
I really liked the story, but I'll admit, there was just something off about the voice acting. Specifically, the Human voiced character. Every time they spoke, it was like hearing someone speak in a Heroic accent, if that's even a thing. Essentially, im saying that the tone felt inappropriate for most of the story. The acting for the aliens was good though.
Alien: " Sorry you can't have coffee."
Human: "We have gone to war for less than that."

"we've massacred for less!"
I can understand not giving or keeping it in theirs supply but don't stop us from drinking it!! I will accept having to use a straw
So you have chosen….Death
Anyway, I started blasting.
What, didn't have my coffee. Sheesh.

Mmmmmm
Planetary Bureaucrat: "No coffee!"
Humans: Lucky for you, we're in a cease-fire. 💀
On the starship when the coffee maker broke, I could see an almost riot breaking out.😂❤
You'd be amazed at all the ways you can make coffee when you need it enough. Socks makes passable filters in a pinch
"Where did you get your translator collars? A Renaissance faire?" Genuinely laughed out loud at that one.😂
Coffee, the universal constant.
That and root beer.
That's a good first officer right there.
It was like when the Lego store opened. People were lined up for blocks.
Eeerrrr....smh lol
Ahhhh dad jokes
A C C I D E N T A L P U N
"you stomped that thing like it owed you money!" make me lol😂
No Joke, your voice for the LT sounds a lot like a mix of Grover and Cookie Monster
Coffee, the breakfast of champions and the ambrosia of warriors...
This is a fun story, I love it. And I love a good cup of Jospeh or even a cup a’ Giuseppe.

I feel for the humans with no coffee. I myself don't drink it having been addicted at one time. But I do still miss it sometimes.
For many of us it's not a joke to call it our medication 😊

Is there a site where all these stories are posted? Id love to sit and actually read some of these creators stories and ideas
Yeah, knowing their name is not enough.
They have mentioned setting up a Discord, but no follow up on that yet.
The best part of waking up is Folgers in your cup lol
If you get the chance try Black Silk...smooth and strong.
I don’t think that would actually be an argument if something is sentient it has a soul.
How, isn’t really a question.
Your Awesome! 😎💯
I will say this take my coffee or take my beer that makes you my enemy
😢 this man , ney this saint of a
Captain gave of his own stash 😢
Wholesome.
Coffee? No thanks. I prefer chocolate, chai or roasted chicory.

I need coffee. Because it took my brain way to long to figure out what you meant.
Ideally, both paid art and paid VAs would be chef’s kiss
@@boomkruncher325zzshred5 Maybe someday, if this channel gets big enough.

I know a woman who buys green coffee beans and roasts them herself. In an iron frying pan on a gas BBQ.
She makes awesome coffee.
@ I thought about doing that for prepping, but need to try some first.

Hey, the Rimiki and Frairen playlist got scrambled.
we try and write the stories in a way where you dont really NEED to watch them in order, so it should be ok
edit: i fixed the playlist anyways :)

Ew, granting animals intelligence? You're asking for trouble.
I won't miss sloppy joe night. Can't stand them!
Zummuz bureaucrats are gelded?
Hmmm
They must believe that sexual pursuits reduce productivity.

Story is way too slow and wandering for me.
I may not like all the stories, but greatly appreciate the voice actors. Can't stand AI content.
@MartelSays this one not so much. Just couldn't hold my attention
This story is taking way too long to get to the aliens. I am totally bored.
So you totally missed the lizard lady that are present at practically every scean in this story?
