We're the fastest streetcars in the nation, yet they invite larry larson to compete in the bristol race, then they uninvite him saying that his car length wise is illegal and there for out of the competition, yet they allow jeff luts to race that pump gas car 57, sounds to me them 405 guys knew they didn't stand a chance with larry being there.
If you listen to their podcasts you would know they're all criminals. They openly talk about having their buddy come to a big race with them with an empty van and would rob people's shops and garages while everyone is at the race. they also sell drugs.

Chief does very well with some boosted 60s based ram air iii cast in aluminum with a pontiac 60s based reenforced engine casting vs engines with way more R&D. BOP engines have little to brag about other than gobs of torque. To build non chevy requires someone to think.
I hope everyone noticed what an advantage the right lane gave the racers, a lot of lesser quality cars won simply by being in the right lane. It definitely took a much superior car and driver to win from the left lane.

He might be a bit further in to the staging zone, but the lights would flag him if he was past it, so if anything it's inches, not feet.
