They're underrated because people are to obsessed with power numbers to appreciate that not everything is about pure speed. If it doesn't go to 1000hp the JDM fanboys don't want it 😂

Currently own a 1995 GPX fully stock. A GREAT drive but recently any FTOs you buy will be rust buckets like mine. Check your sils, bearings and transmission. FTOs are known for their transmission sensors being faulty. MAP sensor too, as out of the factory the '95 GPX's loom was a little short when it came to the connection on the MAP sensor so after a while it doesn't send the right signals.
I'd take an FTO over a MR2 or Miata ANY day.

The GTO is the car that over shadowed the FTO, not too say the FTO isn’t a nice car

Only right hand drive((( Would definetly go for it, if it was left-handed from factory. Too complicated to own this in baltic states. And not very comfortable to drive one of these on a left-handed drive roads

First i love this car,is underrated cuz is was be better if is example 6 speed manual and it had to have at least 230 horsepower, people would buy them like crazy, but the real reason it doesn't have that many support performance parts for this car, that is my opinion!! and definitely worth the 4G63 :p

You said its a low roof line. I'm 6'4 does that mean I'm too tall for one? :(

    • @oopssee

You might struggle. They have immense amounts of leg room but yes the roof is super low. The seating position is extremely low too though. My partner is 6'2 and on track his helmet is rubbing the roof constantly (in the event of a roll over he is fucked) but that's in a bucket seat which forces your back upright. Driving on road in original seats he has no issue though.
