The company I work for has just installed solar panels on top of it's huge warehouse. Why not do that on suitable buildings instead of on land we need for growing food?
Additional: They've put 6,500 panels on top (and this is small compared to how much room there is but, perhaps there are structural limits), this cuts annual energy use by 32%.
