Beautiful, meditative piece - such a satisfying demonstration of the creative process. And you manage to get some fantastic nearly abstract images in the deal! Thanks so much for this inspiring video.

Thank you for tackling this difficult photographic environment and for showing those struggles in the video.

Fabulous video and fabulous shots. I love doing this sort of photography. I think it might be my favorite. Makes me happy to see that the sea stars are coming back. They used to be everywhere, but they got some sort of disease about a decade ago that pretty much wiped them out. Now I'm seeing them again down in California - and it looks like they are returning to Oregon, too.

Excellent subject matter, the beauty of this genre is that you know what you want and yet it’s unpredictable. Every corner you turn new compositions present themselves. You want, and need, time to stand still to get all that you see captured. Fun location and shooting with intention - well done.

What a fantastic video, in which you captured this beautiful landscape.
Great photos you took, and choice of music mood and film sequences.
Love your outfit + style too! You’re a talented, handsome man ❤

Flyfishing wading boots, with quality screw-in spikes is a true game changer for not slipping.
Waist waiters would also let you be present in the relatively shallow water as the tide comes in.

You are a trooper! That is a lot of heavy gear you are lugging about. Not to mention your video setup. Very rewarding shots. I especially like the rock pools. Brings the kid in us back. Beautiful location. You mentioned something interesting to me about getting down low and seeing things differently. Being in a wheelchair I'm seeing the world differently to other photographers. So my compositions will nearly always be different. Such is life!

You walking around in the tidal pool with your belt filter case open was giving me anxiety!
Great video though. Nothing beats photography on the West Coast!

    Hi Todd.
A very inspiring video, my friend.
And you got some great pictures from it.
I have to say that you didn't get this one easily.
You really had to work for it.
Not easy, but it's worth it.
I really enjoyed watching your balancing skills, my friend.
    Antoine.

The blue hour photo is cool with the boulder full of anemones. It would be really cool to see what these spots look like when they are underwater. Looks like a fun time was had. And the best part was you escaped with a dry butt!

Hey 👋 8nsaw your review of the GFX 100s ii and the IBIS is so good you can't shoot a lot more hand held even down as low as 1/2 second ....I shoot a lot of these types of photos ...climbing over rocks at our age (I'm similar age to you)
    Go with hand-held
    😮
Love your videos though but the IBIS in the 100 ii modules is way better than the 100s and 50s ii
    Its massive
