I found this encounter very long and tedious, but this interaction and the ending of the Crown Keepers segment was well worth the hassle.

Better to think of this as a "narrative combat encounter" versus the typical "mechanical combat encounter", from a narrative point of view, it was all heartbreaking

@@sXMrSnapzZ Yes, on that I agree fully. But even with this in mind I found it a bit too long. Mainly for the reason that Morrigan (I don't know the person's name sorry) would take 30 to 50 minutes to make a basic round. I get that she is a beginner, but still..

​@@IronJawsQCI wouldn't say new, the first time she played Morrighan was over 2 years ago, but it does seem like they don't have much experience still. I don't think they play outside of CR.

I feel like Aabria was waiting for Aimee to take a little more initiative. The repeated asking her if she wanted Opal to go or the Spider Queen to go, for a pretty literal example. It seemed to me that Aimee was too worried about doing the “wrong” thing, as though this whole encounter was a problem with a specific solution rather than collaborative storytelling. I was so happy when Opal finally did this, an actual decisive thing, though even then she was super hesitant about it.
