His musicality and talents are profound. Stunning, completely stunning voice.
I love his vibrado. though I like Jarousskeys tone as he can articulate the highs of a falsetto better. both exemplify the required control...just at different competence in the myriad of things one must be mindful of when singing this way.
Daniels has one of the most beautiful voices in history. The fact that he is compelling onstage and very good looking are but two more factors in his greatness as an artist.
Not even the most stupid and silly stage costume could destroy such a magnificent performance. David Daniels is a wonder! Absolutely sublime countertenor.

Wie schön er singt. Wunderbar. Und das mit Hut auf dem Kopf. Dazu gehört schon was. Sich die Stirnhöhlen mit einem Filzhut bedecken zu lassen und dann so zu singen. Orchester und Dirigent ebenfalls: Bravo. Dankeschön.
The lyrics of this aria are so simple, but David Daniels changes their meaning through his musical interpretation and his acting all throughout; you can feel the range of emotions, the stages of grief that his character suffers from beginning to end, from fear, to sadness, anger, and depression.
Vocal perfection!!! I literally couldn't turn it off.
I think i have played this at least 100 times last week. The singing is just so unbeliveably moving. Handel wrote so much beautiful music!

This "slower" tempo has the wonderful quality among other to allow relishing in the gorgeous color of the singer's voice & his rare because so perfect & generous singing. Not to mention his acting.
Not quite sure how the pimp suit fits into the equation, but his voice is gorgeous beyond belief. It manages an unprecedented amount of sweetness without losing depth or character. We're blessed to have so many talented countertenors among us.

What a truly Sublime aria. Right to the heart and soul of the listener. Sheer unparalleled genius. I live around the corner from "his majesty's theatre" on the haymarket in London. Theatres have been closed for over one year. Of an evening when I go for a walk I see the ghost of Handel shuffingly into the stage door. Life is unadultered magic. And is as far removed from what we perceive as could be possibly imagined. You know it's the love and patience that create the miracles. Miracles outside of space and time. Everything of value cannot be seen with the human eyes. So said "le petite prince". I believe he was right.

le tempo est un peu lent mais ça permet à David Daniels d'exprimer l'âme du texte jusqu'au bout de son souffle. Une voix parfaite que l'on retrouve avec plaisir ces dernières années dans Bach et autre partitions moins aisée pour ce contre-ténor hors paire

I have so much admiration and respect for DD and his contributions to Baroque opera, although his very heavy vibrato always has bothered me. I have listened to so many performances (including two good ones by women) and have been able to compare them carefully. The most satisfying for me for timbre, breath capacity, technique, and interpretation is Dmitry Egorov. More Cara Sposa lovers should hear him.

According to Beethoven, "Handel is the greatest composer that ever lived. I would uncover my head and kneel before his tomb." I don't necessarily agree, but there is no need to trash the man who was truly one of the greatest.
