  • Ep 16 started off as a montage of odd jobs throughout the winter, but ends with the first time my Blazer has broken so bad that it left me stranded.

I’m so glad you got to that control module thing on the passenger side behind the kick panel my blazer just started making a rapid ticking or clicking from that thing and my lights went out on my 4x4 selector and then 4x4 service light came on so I think I need to replace mine or trace the electrical

Black fluid film for the under side. Love that stuff.

Same here! I've been watching this since the beginning. I've since sold my 2000 Blazer non-ZR2 back in November.

It's coming very soon! My issues turned out to be way less bad than I thought.

@@PhillipsHomeRepair I've perty much done everything you have and rebuilt my transmission and did alot of upgrades to the transmission and rebuilt the 4.3l vortec both front and rear axles been upgraded with lockers and cross drilled slotted rotors. New transfer case converted to np231 manual transfer case way better than the original np233. Stock height. Mine is 1998 gmc jimmy 4x4 sle 4.3l 4l60e np233 and npo code gu6(3:43 gears) running 235/75/r15. New motor, trans, transfer case, front and rear suspension rebuilt. I've pulled the frame out from the body and completely stripped it down and painted the frame. I'm a total of 6,500.00 into it. It is worth every dime I spent on it been n family since new and I know what's in it plus I buy up other s10 blazer and trucks just to hoard up for parts!I have ten s10 blazers 13 s10 trucks a d a few oldsmobile bravada and 4 awd gnc safari/astro vans and a few other chevys that were 4.3l vortec equipt

Thanks for this update video. Sucks you're having so many problems with the Blazer. You made me laugh when you said that you would move out here in California 😂. its so ridiculously expensive out here. The Blazer would be the least of your worries. Can't wait for the next Blazer update. Good luck💪

Yeah, I know. I've gotten used to registering and insuring vehicles for a couple hundred bucks a year and having no vehicle safety or emissions inspections ever. It's automotive anarchy in Iowa.

I’ve tackled the same project, 2005. I want/need to replace the leaf springs. The bolts and shackles are super rusty. I’ve tried everything, including super heating to nearly red hot. Any advice on getting these out?

I haven't had to deal with those yet, but it's coming soon. Sounds like you've tried most of the usual things. Sorry I don't have a magic solution.
