Hello everyone! I hope you are all doing well, and I hope you enjoy my latest video! These past few weeks, I've been playing Tears of the Kingdom nonstop and I had to make a video about how my expectations for the game were hindering my enjoyment and how I understood that the story was a Native Story being told. As always, I appreciate all comments so let me know what you thought of the video and about the game! I love reading them. Thank you all for your continued support! I am in awe of the number of views and the heartwarming comments I have received these past few videos. Stay tuned for my future videos as the next one will be related to Trauma and the TV show Barry while after I might do a video on spiderman (Across the Spiderverse was amazing). I hope you stay tuned for them and if anyone would like to support my process, my Patreon link is in the description. Catch you all in the next video and I hope you have a wonderful day!
I do not wish to sound rude but this whole video comes off as "I really hated the game because it really didn't live up to its potential, but when I put it in the perspective of theres people out their who suffer endlessly and never know happiness throughout all of history, its actually the best game ever." Like, you can just not like the game man, its okay. Other people claiming it as the best Zelda game doesn't mean you have to agree. It's like you guilted and strong armed yourself into saying you liked it. You're not a bad person for wanting a Zelda game to be better just because Native Americans suffered in the expansionist era of the United States.
Wow! First off, I really appreciate your comment and what you felt the video come off as. Throughout making the video I aimed to relate the story of Tears of the Kingdom to a Indigenous People and Native American perspective as I saw similarities between Ganondorf's desire for more and the concept of manifest destiny. I didn't hate the game at all and it's actually one of my most favorite games and best Zelda game for me. Sorry if I didn't clarify that enough in the video! I think in terms of "potential" like you were talking about was the idea that I'm always moving on from one thing after another and always wanting more. That was the idea, similar to the ideas of destiny, that I wanted to argue against because that constant desire for more doesn't give you a chance to appreciate what you have, just like in the end of the video where I was grateful for the experiences I've had in both games despite moving on from them without 100% completing them. I hope that clears some things up and thank you so much for watching!
Damn man what a way to tie a video game to a group of people that have been oppressed! Good video, and even though im sad that hyrule castle is still floating in the air covered in gloom after ive beaten the game, maybe ill keep playing.

Yeah, I've always wanted a Zelda game to have a post game feeling but I understand that's not their intention. Thank you so much for watching!
