    watched the whole game, got scared the US would drop another 5 set match to France but they pushed hard in set 5, and played really efficiently! Congrats team USA!

    A disappointing run by France this year without Ngapeth. I'm sure they'll come back in the worlds.
    Jaeschke stepped up big time for de falco. Key changes like muagututia and Matt Smith really helped the USA.
    USA is scary in long drawn matches as they have fresh legs to switch.
    Lets not forget Matt Anderson's performance is amazing in the match.

    Very happy for team USA. So good Anderson was all in good form. Christenson always the lively and smart setter and Jaeschke who was on fire. TJ Defalco seems sleepy in this match, but where's Aaron Russell? Congratulations and go for the GOLD.

    Great match. First two sets were incredible. USA faltered a bit without Russel and with Defalco being off, but still found a way to get it done. Seems like Anderson is always a beast but I think Jaeschke gets MVP.

    Aaron Russell was apparently sick and will be back in the semi's. I'm not sure what happened with Defalco, he seemed a little dejected. Maybe he wasn't feeling 100% either.

    TJ defalco is undeniably an explosive player, however, he needs to control his emotions which usually causes him to mess his game up. Noticeably everytime he messes up, this also leaves a negative vibe within the team inside the court

      @@lukasky03 To be exact, the stated objective this year is the Euros. The goal for the VNL was "give the veterans some resting time, play the backups & youngsters, and see how far we can go."
      Given our lineups and mindset, reaching the Final 8 and pushing Team US to Set 5 is already pretty nice.

    Spicy match. The coaches from both sides were still having a spicy 🌶️ conversation about a few calls even after the match when shaking hands hahaha. Gianni and the USA asst coach were so passionate about it lol

    Defalco needs to control his emotions during the game, they always lose their momentum every time he can't control his emotions and he's also making more mistakes

      I hope he gets released from TEAM USA. Good attitude can't be taught. Once you're a sore loser and a bad teammate, you can't go back from it. You will be known as that player that gives the team a bad reputation. Never was his fan. I wished they would have taken Ben Patch back and release this psycho.

      I agree, but when he is calm, he plays very well. I suggest the coach should put him in the bench everytime he loses his temper, like what he did in the 5th set, and it worked.

      Yea max holt has had flashes of brilliance this tournament. I think the mens teams player decisions at least make sense and have some logic behind them, the women's USA choices were even more questionable imo

    I would like to understand how you do your summaries: why in a match in 5 sets, you show 80% American winning points and 20% French winning points. on the other hand, when you show the victorious sets by the French, you continue to show almost only American victorious points? if the match is in 5 sets, you should show almost as many winning points of the 2 teams!!! and not just Americans.
