Same question as below. What did you use to plug the cap screw hole? The ebay covers have a wider pitch thread. Unless yours is from Honda. Please clarify. Thanks
There is a lip that the bearing will bottom out on and you can look through the center hole and look for the center seal to see if it’s seated all the way. I believe the bearing was protruding and exposed and did not sit flush with case. I have a video called- Two stroke water pump 1988-1989 cr250 installing new seals and bearing for retrofit on 1986 cr250 You maybe able to see it better when I install the seals and bearing in that video. Thanks for watching hopefully this was helpful good luck on your bike.
Thank you bud I’ll have a watch I thought that was he case that it doesn’t sit flush . Do you know how far to drill the bit out the spring sits in on the casing also cheers
@@charlesmaslin566 I used a 3/4 bit and I used the depth of the spring cup and as a reference I placed tape on my drill bit as a know when to stop point I have a video - 1986 cr250 upgrade to 1988-1989 cr250 two piece clutch cover addressing the governor spring well If visual reference is needed.
@@charlesmaslin566 The washer or impeller might make contact with seal. I would flip it and also the center seal should be face in as well to keep that bearing from making contact with any part of the seal and damaging it.
