Wow! It's good to see Australians learning how to travel in India ...... Comparing prices a
Online and making a choice.....happy to see this.....foreigners they don't check prices like this while traveling in Kerala....often they end up choosing high prices.... Even though they have choices.... really a brilliant stuff...

    Hey Hi Bro.
    1. General Class boogie are always at beginning and at the end of the train. U travelled in a sleeper class.
    2. There is no train number printed on a general class ticket but you will find the details in a sleeper class ticket.
    3. Sleeper train tkts needs to be reserved in advance. You can book tkts using the app Railconnect.
    4. And train number and the route (Origin station and the destination station) is fixed on a yellow board in top centre of each boogie.
I hope that helps you the next time u travel by train in India.
Enjoy your stay in India bro.
    Cheers

In Day time for short distances u can take sleeper class tickets from the counter itself. 120 Rs from alappuzha to varkala that is a sleeper class ticket taken over the counter.

Finally 100 rs :). Usually by meter in a metropolitan city will cost you 60/70 rs for 4 kms. In small cities concept of meter does not work as these guys don't get return rides. So 100 sounds ok

Hi Luke, nice to see your video. . Your style is different, you have the mentality to enjoy the local living style of India; it varies with place to place. India is a very complex country. You shouldn't expect the same situation and treatment from every part of India. Kerala people are usually mild and friendly. Take care and be cautious... All the best... A Keralite...

*Right on the engine compartment you will see the train name and number*
Or simply ask any companion about the *train name* instead of asking about the station you want to get down.
So again I'm saying Just make sure that you are on the right train by asking the *train name* (Which you should know obviously)anyone in it because nobody wouldn't mind helping you. Ask atleast like 3 people to make sure.
Then after making sure, you can either Google the train name or train number.
*Please make sure you know the train name and train number which will be written on the Indian center board or you can use ask him. And if can simply Google the train number to get all the details regarding it from any first shown website*

If you buy a general quota ticket, you can get in any train (and get in general compartment) of any train that goes to your destination , so there will be no train or seat number on ticket. (within 24 hours i believe, pls check) . But if you reserve your tickets you ll get allotted seats, numbers etc. Try to use IRCTC (official Indian railways) app to reserve tickets. Happy travels :)

Taxi drivers usually charge more than rickshaw guys...They have to spend a lot on permits, license and stuff like that.... Rickshaw guys don't have to...

There are so manu street dogs in kerala. we are sterilizing them so as to decrease their number. The metal you seen in the ear of dog means it was sterilized.

100 for rickshaw and 150 for a car taxi is reasonable in kerala. You get what you pay for.

Luke Bro... I think its better to shoot sea shore beach area,(alapy & trivandrum districts ) Back water area (kumarakom lake in kottayam district ) mountain area like moonnar (idukki district ) vagamon (kottayam) like.. rather than Indiaan Railways.. Because these beautiful natural palaces gives you a better pleasant &positive moments and feelings.. anyway i saw you through KS (Karthik Surya )Chanel and subscribed your chanel also ..
