I get the impression that some people either don't understand the sport or are just acting in bad faith. This team is the second youngest in the league and is still in REBUILDING for at least 2 more years. So stop having unrealistic expectations and judging young players on their mistakes. That's the reality of rebuilding in the salary cap era, it's normal to suck for a while before becoming a good team.
@@royalhumbler2767 Couldn't have explained it better. Bravo 👍 A lot of Habs fans are not use to this since it their first official rebuild but in today's hockey, you need a lot of buildup in drafts picks before becoming a contender team in the future.
@@joydjinn8692 Absolutely, not to mention all the heavy contracts we'll be getting rid of in the next 2-3 years ( Anderson,Dvorak, Gallagher etc...) the arrival of players who can make a difference: Demidov,Hage,Dobes,Fowler etc... And the probable top-10 picks we'll have for the next 2 years. Then, in the worst-case scenario, we'll just have to sign 1 or 2 big names like the Rangers did, and we'll be a formidable team. But all this requires patience and long-term vision that the average emotional fan doesn't have. These people seem to have been following the team for only 6 months, i've lived through the last 30 years of this team and i prefer what i see now rather than the era of patching up and signing veterans just to make the playoffs and remain a middle-of-the-pack team.

Coaching is a tough topic. You need the right coach for the right group at the right time and that's a really hard thing to find. A lot of it has to be internal team love and locker room dynamic. Lavi doesn't scream at our players all the time. Torts did. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Quinn helped when we were younger and building. Vigneault did alright and lost the room/Hank. Gallant did well but something happened. Lavi is the right guy at the right time. You'll get yours.
@@Parasis No good players (good team), no good coaches. It always comes down to that. The rest are details, as you explained well in your comment. Lavi has good players. His job is to get them to play well together. This is not rocket science.
The rule is not who’s first. If it’s close, the linesmen are supposed to blow the whistle ahead of that to avoid a potentially dangerous scenario where a player is defenseless retrieving the puck. If the offensive play is able to gain possession of the puck with no potential battle in the boards then the icing is waved. This was a bad call. The far linesman had his arm raised too.

@1:00 - "There's a pride that they have of wearing a MTL jersey." Could NOT have been more HORRIBLY TIMED!!
One of the most EMBARRASSING goals I've EVER seen given up in my LIFE as a hockey fan.
@2:09 - Completely disgusted.
To think i watch all goals
Outch.
That one stings.
Play till the whistle bows, at all times.
It seems to me that everything that moves towards the Montreal gates reaches its goal?
Пока в Монреале не найдут нормального вратаря , результата не будет.
This one is for Patrick!
They really need him.
Hutson got lit up tonight! Ouch
What happened to Montembault? He goalied the Leafs, now he's a sieve... No for Team Canada eh?
Reality check for certain Canadiens players, especially Hutson.
Habs are so soft they get scored on an icing play 😂
habs had few quality players. When a couple of them drop out of the lineup, there is no one to play.
Did slaf play?😮
no, looks like he is out for minimum 1 week
@@Bet-vx3fg deam
Primeu será primo de Allen..
Suzuki y Slafkovsky para devils, los demás al paro, ya..
I already have my Mckenna habs jersey
Here we go again
They look like an AHL team! NO forward, no speed, no size, no #1 goaltender.. All good, they gonna be able to draft good pick for at least the next 5 years! Winning VS low tier is easy but the second they go against a top tier or contender for The CUP, they get destroyed and shows that this team, has ZERO chance of winning it for the next 5 years!
1980's or 1990's Retread French speaking coach on speed call
Tough night to be a Habs fan... I mean, the Rags are good n all, but like, that icing that got waved off cuz the dude literally just stopped skating, would've had him by a country mile with like two decent strides... and I love Hutson, but that move at his own blueline... yikes
Rangers are hungry!!!
No goaltending for the Habs. Bring back Price
The dude can't even do the butterfly stance anymore. It would be even worst lol.
Helllllllllll yeahhhhhhh baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
should have been 12-2, Habs got lucky it was only 7
Yup..
3 posts and 1 crossbar.
Tough night for the habs....very amusing 👏
Ouch
Schooled; the NYRs put the kids back in their place!!
go habs go... go golfing
Looks like trouba might get suspended for contact to the head. Nhl player safety is reviewing it.
good
wrong
I was watching this with my gf and I said the same. I'm not sure that one was legit. Most of his hits are, even if vicious, but that one... I think he'll get a suspension. Rangers fan from NYC who lives in MTL with a Quebecoise gf btw. Also former owner of a MKV and MK7.5, if that's what your name implies.
Hopefully. That's not hockey.
They did review it, and determined (correctly) it was the right call on the ice, and even phoned the officials live to tell them that. And their explanation was by the book, Trouba commit to the hit, Barron saw him coming, Barron leans low to make an extra poke at the puck, head contact is incidental and the fault of Barron. But I'm sure you'll still see what you want to see.
Goalie interference on the 6th goal anyone??? This rule is applied widely differently depending on the refs.
Alright pack it in boys no playoffs or even no top 20 appearance this year. Skip to next season!
i like marty thry way he develops young players but way to soft soft too nice to them can he atleast be a little harsh to them they keep showing no heart every game and their not even mad at their selfs after that patheic game? embarssing....
Well what's the excuse for 4 loses in a row? We are still in a rebuilding process?
Yes, we still are and for a few years still. Did someone told you otherwise?
I get the impression that some people either don't understand the sport or are just acting in bad faith. This team is the second youngest in the league and is still in REBUILDING for at least 2 more years. So stop having unrealistic expectations and judging young players on their mistakes. That's the reality of rebuilding in the salary cap era, it's normal to suck for a while before becoming a good team.
@@royalhumbler2767 Couldn't have explained it better. Bravo 👍
A lot of Habs fans are not use to this since it their first official rebuild but in today's hockey, you need a lot of buildup in drafts picks before becoming a contender team in the future.
@@royalhumbler2767 Yeah, same here. It fun to think about what to expect in the future. Just getting rid of Anderson and Gally give them 11M. You can bring a impactful player to mtl with that.
Pas un gros match Barron. Man
Did habs goaltending get stuck on some red eye flight or something lol
Sad for the people who pay to go and watch this team.
Could it be a KK season at last?
FIRE ST LOUIS!
The Canadians should use six forwards and put a traffic cone in the goal. That would be more efficient. They should stop recruiting goalies in the Pee Wee leagues.
The game was over before it started. Habs are bottom feeders again, time to think out the draft. MSL is overated, he bears some responsibity for the lacklustre play, another crappy French coach same results.
2 PLAYERS MUST GO FIRST SAVARD CANT SKATE TURN AROUND AND MAKE A DECENT PASS AND IS LIKE A TURTLE, ANDERSON WHO STEPS ON THE GAS ONCE PER PERIOD, AND EVERYBODY WHO IS NOT GIVING 100% ON EVERYSHIFT SHOULD BE BENCHED WHICH MEANS HALF THE TEAM , BY THE WAY WHAT IS HAPENING WITH SLAVELAWSKY HE LOOKS LIKE WHEN HE BEGAN LAST YEAR WHEN I TAUGHT MONTREAL HAD MADE A MISTAKE WITH HIM, HE IS NOT IN SHAPE OR MENTALLY AFFECTED , ITS NOT THE SAME PLAYER WE SAW AT THE END OF LAST YEAR. IT SEEMS THE WHOLE TEAM IS AFFECTED BY ALL THE NEW PLAYERS WHO ARE NOT CARRYING THEIR WEIGHT AND ITS GETTING WORST EVERY GAME. I KNOW YOU LOST LAINE AND REINBACKER BUT ITS A GENERAL PROBLEM THEY ARE PLAYING AT 75% OF CAPABILITY AND NO PLANNED ATTACK THE DAMM PASSES ON THE BOARDS IS SOMETHING PEWEES DO ,
Pee Wees also play chase the puck.
This game was gross
Fire msl and get a real coach
No, he is not the issue
@@dehavillandcanadatwinotter9621 Of course, he is not the issue, or barely. There is almost no offense in that team. Hutson made 2 or 3 passes in the Rangers zone that would have resulted in one or 2 goals with a team like the Rangers or the Oilers. They don't have the finishing touch.
@@dehavillandcanadatwinotter9621 Sure he is. The team has no viable system.
Montreal Cup 2025
Montreal Cacachiens
Oof... this one hurts a little
GOLF HABS GOLF
Zo strany Montrealu to bolo niečo príšerné. Keby som hral za Rangers tiež dám gól.
habs fans slowly truning on marty of lack of heart i think he would fit as a assitant coach at best as a coach himself hes too nice to them they need a coach that can easilly lose it
Coaching is a tough topic.
What the Hell was that second goal? How is that not icing? - a Rangers fan
It was going to be icing. The habs players stopped skating
Edstrom was clearly first, the red ones slowed down
@@themig71 Since the rule change its always been consistent... the tie goals to defence
@@maxmalmin7456 Exactly, plus, play until the whistle
The rule is not who’s first. If it’s close, the linesmen are supposed to blow the whistle ahead of that to avoid a potentially dangerous scenario where a player is defenseless retrieving the puck. If the offensive play is able to gain possession of the puck with no potential battle in the boards then the icing is waved. This was a bad call. The far linesman had his arm raised too.
