Kaya was very drunk, but that wasn't even a true statement, it was just Andrew trying to make him feel bad. Andrew could have at that point, instead of making it incredibly awkward, started actually contributing to the topic of the podcast instead of just sitting their silently like he did for the 20 minutes before he said that.

@@pl3459 it was the way Andrew said it, with the low "wow" at the end. Kaya was having a great time up until that point and tht comment stopped him dead in his tracks. It's very clear he became embarrassed at Andrew noticing that (which actually started about half an hour into the podcast, but that's not the point), and Andrew made no effort to disarm the statement or redirect the conversation to an actual discussion. I don't see how Andrew's not the Karen here to Kaya.

Bruce Wayne was an E-boy the entire time, he’s small brain that couldn’t figure out a riddle which led to a lot of deaths in car accidents.
It was also about finding his balance with Bruce Wayne and Batman. You don't become a superhero and split your personality in half to avoid suspicion over night.

If it is Halo, it has to be like Halo. Otherwise, it's just a normal show with the Halo name attached to it. Enjoy it if you want, nothing wrong with it, but don't act like our distaste with how the show was done is unjustified.

Watching the older podcast episodes and coming to... Whatever this is, is kinda sad. Charlie is silent, kaya rants about stuff he has no idea about, and the ads are almost half the episode. Don't see this podcast going for more than another year or 2 with all 4 members

Guys the whole point about Batman disregarding the deaths of innocents during that car chase scene is because he learns at the end of the film. He learns to become Hope and to stop focusing his Batman persona only on villains

@@shrimpmanchild5805 in all fairness, this could be Batman’s first “High-Speed Chase”. The same way we see him fumbling to nail landings and react to enemy swarming. I doubt we see a Batman so reckless and low-tech’ed in sequels.
Don't know of it's the editing or what, but Batman never caused the car crash, penguin did (not that starting a chase in a crowded freeway is wise since he could easily put a tracker on penguin's car).
Batman actually gave a more lethal attacks to stop him AFTER penguin caused the crash
@@Carlos_Tacos thank you. There’s a single frame of Batman screaming in reaction to penguin instigating the crash the next frame is the exhaust engine shooting the blue flame. He should have arrested penguin for that and it’s weird he doesn’t acknowledge that penguin does murder people on the highway but the way the podcast goes about discussing it is a little obtuse.
Since it's only Batman's 2nd Year it does make sense for him to not have a super crazy high-tech Batmobile, and not killing people has always been a rule of his.
Penguin causing all that mayhem on the bridge, and Batman not really being phased by all the death.
I'm glad it was 3 hours, because it makes it way more worth the money, and I don't care how long it is as long as it's good all the way through.
Robert Patenson was a fantastic Batman.
His Bruce Wayne wasn't great, but no matter who played him, he was supposed to be more on the moody/depressed side, so it didn't really bother me(as long as the writing makes him more like his comic/past live action counterparts).
They've confirmed that the Joker scene was just to say that he exist in the world, but he's not being set-up to be in the sequel.
The director even said that he wants to do Mr. Freeze so when the sequel eventually happens he'll probably be the main villain(or at least secondary).
There are theories going around that Bane might be introduced as well because of the green adrenaline Batman uses and there is a story where Batman creates the serium and Bane steals it so there is a possibility for a new take on Bane which would be exciting to see
A movie can have great acting, cinematography, music and plot and Kaya is only gonna talk about two scenes that mildly didn't make sense at certain points just to diss it cause it's a mainstream thing people like. And I feel like Jackson feels pressured to agree tbh. It's getting kinda old listening to him not like any superhero related movies/shows and finding super minor shit and tunneling in on it to hate it for
tbf majority of superhero movies and shows suck dick. DC has made what? 2 good movies in 10 years? X men had like 4 good movies in 20?

Speaking on villains they haven’t used yet, I would like a horror-esque Batman movie with Professor Pig, because a mentally unstable man who loves classical music and turning people into “art” or whatever, should definitely warrant a movie and Batman being the detective in those murders.
Also, Mr. Freeze deserves to have another live action to redeem what we got in Batman & Robin. As much as that movie sucked, at least they kept his motives for why he does the things he does.
But Scarecrow definitely deserves a round two, this time, as the main focus and not just a backdrop character that goes bye to make room for the major villain. Still sore it won’t be Cillian Murphy again ‘cause y’know, it’s been years and yada yada. But, he deserves a round two, too.
I think a Ventriloquist movie in the same vein of The Joker movie would be incredible.
Some meek timid man who just starts hearing voices and creates the alter ego of Scarface in the form of a dummy to deal with his weak beta nature and be more assertive. Then as Scarface he rises through the ranks of Gotham's mob with his viciousness and brutality.
They like to keep Batman movies in the PG-13 realm they’d have to really stretch it if they wanted to bring someone as gory as Professor pig. Also cillian Murphy as scarecrow again isn’t the best choice it’s better to give someone else a chance not to mention he’s busy with Christopher Nolan’s “Oppenheimer” movie

It's just a bit of morbid humor honestly. Of course he isn't actually elated that people died in a crash (that'd be downright sociopathic), he merely made a toungue in cheek quip about it that tied into his own fear of flying. If you don't want to hear people be people, seek out a blander podcast.

I agree. Don't get me wrong, I do still love the podcast and the boys but hearing Kaya being "relieved" was a bit much, joking or not. How would he feel if (heaven forbid) his mom or sister was on a plane and it crashed, just to hear someone say "boy, glad I wasn't on that flight! what a relief!" :/
And yeah, being drunk is one thing, but he was also majorly jet-lagged and tired on top of being drunk, so a triple whammy. He could've just taken the day off from recording and they could've just ran with the 3 of them. They've done it several times in the past..
50:42 in the novel it’s said he built it himself and made it stronger and faster than normal cars. So it is more than a normal cars, (also in the early years of Batman he doesn’t really care for the Bruce part of his life, that’s why we never see him as Bruce Wayne)
And it would make sort of logical sense as well to not see Bruce Wayne that much either if your into year 2 of batman.
I like to think about it in terms of something like a hobby, if you had just gotten into something, year 1, you're getting the hang of it, and by year 2, you're going to start developing skills in whatever you are doing, and are most likely going to start learning more and more about whatever hobby you're doing, and also likely to get fully invested into the hobby.
I know that for myself, when I got into my own hobby and was at like at around year 2 of what I was into, I was *super* invested into the hobby, that I didn't really talk or think about anything else.
So if anything, it makes total sense that Bruce would be fully invested into the Batman persona, and isn't taking much care and thought into the Bruce side of things.
That Kaya comment about statistics at around 2:30 made me facepalm. He says that the plane crash calmed him down cause it’s ‘statistically unlikely’ for 2 planes to crash on the same day. But that literally makes no sense, because at that point 1 plane had crashed already.
I’m not gonna bother to explain why that’s stupid because I think it’s obvious enough.
I suppose having superstitions is fair enough, but you shouldn’t refer to them as ‘statistics’

Sad thing about the halo tv series is that we literally had what could have been the Dave filoni of halo. Y’all remember that badass halo 3 live action short “landfall” well the director of that was so close to directing this. They wouldn’t work with his schedule tho so they ended up going with people who have never worked on or played anything halo related…. Like good job throwing $90million down the drain

1: The Batmobile has always been a car, he doesnt kill why would he need a fucking tank?
2: Catwomans arc is fine, it characterizes Bruces leniency with criminals and she pushes forward the plot
3: Batman not killing is not boring. Batman is a superhero, he saves people, he does not kill people. Batman is the most hero superhero in existence other than Superman
4: Bruce hasnt discovered the difference between Bruce and Batman. There is no split because Bruce is barely in the film, he doesn’t know how to cope with watching his parents be shot yet and is rage full. The whole plot is him learning he needs to be more
Yeah, it's crazy how the majority of people that didn't like the movie use those 4 points(plus the "it's too long" one 🙄).
It's not like every past Batman movie had him killing people left an right(besides Tim Burton's first Batman movie, which is why people think Batman murders everyone), he doesn't even kill people in his games(he kicks their asses, but he leaves them alive), so I don't know why people were expecting.
The too long argument really annoys me, because the run time clearly shows that it's 3 hours, so if people aren't fans of 3 hour "detective movies" then they probably should of just waited for it to release on DVD/Streaming when they could pause it.

Man, Kaya is painful to listen to when he talks about anything. Everything he says is always followed by silence from everyone else. Dude is annoying lol.
The two 737 max crashes that happened were the result of a sensor on the nose of the plane that detects airspeed and pitches the plane to avoid a stall. The sensors are not typical and only exist because of the size of the engines on the 737 max and subsequent imbalance they create on that model. The sensors were easily damaged, hence the software pitching down causing the crash.
Every defender of the show says it’s “accurate to the lore!” But then forget the games take precedent over the books. Why adapt a GAME series if you are just going to ignore the game.
Games made in 01-04-07 don't translate well into a live action tv series. Books work in conjunction with the games, nothing takes precedent over anything that's stupid. Non canon timelines are a good idea they just have to make it as interesting as the games story.

The way they talk about the bat mobile scene is very interesting because, Batman doesn’t kill ANYONE. The penguin literally causes everything, and I guess the argument is that by chasing the penguin he’s causing those deaths, but that’s quite a stretch and in my opinion is bull shit.

This first episode was a lot better than i was expecting, despite still having flaws. Glad to see that the sensation around the show creators not playing the games wasnt true, they started with the games, but they didnt limit themselves to just that media.
Also, Leaks apparently say that they blew their load on the first episode. Second episode is mostly going to be non-action as they were recovering. Just something to keep in mind for expactations.

The books aren't supplementary to the games. The first Halo book actually came a month before Halo CE (first Halo game). The books were there from the beginning, not only furthering the universe, but contains stories far better than what the games tell. Even Master Chief is a far better character in the books than in the game. It sucks they didn't look at the games but as long as they looked at the right books, it won't completely suck.

Before I start the video, do I think there are things they could have done better on the Halo show? Yes. Was it bad? No. I went in with super low expectations being a huge fan of Halo lore and knowing that it wasn't cannon was kind of a bummer. But I still gave it a chance, and did still enjoy a large amount of the first episode. I personally think it could have been a better story if it was a different story in the existing lore, but the direction they decided to take doesn't put down Halo at all. I think it compliments the things fans of the series have always wanted to see, it just sucks none it MATTERS.
It makes sense that they never played Halo if Master Chief took off his helmet in the literal first episode and the Insurrectionists were using AK47s...in 2552...
@Private117 I mean, I'm not filled with rage or incapable of thinking properly. I'm very aware that Master Chief has taken off his helmet in games, but those were as teases. Also, if I remember correctly the only instance where you can visibly see his helmet coming off from a non first-person point of view was a cutscene locked behind completing the campaign on Legendary. I think it was Halo 4? And I'm aware that he's been described in books, however, it is very iconic to his character that you never see his face.

Ok, then don't make a game? That has nothing to do with storytelling or trying to stay true to an IP. Keep in mind that the main character in The Mandalorian kept his helmet on longer than a character who, at least in the past being presented in the media they are the most well known for, has never had their face revealed. Wanna know how else they could have tackled that scene? Show Chief taking the helmet off from behind so that she can see his face but we can't. There, I fixed it. He'll need to put the helmet back on anyways otherwise he won't get the full benefit of his armor so it's not like it would be hard to write him putting it back on.
Don't even get me started on the overall writing of the show either lmao. Why was there a human on High Charity when that is in direct conflict with the Covenant, or more specifically, the Prophets' goals? Why would the UNSC be so willing to eliminate one of their most useful assets simply because he refused to execute a prisoner?
I have no problem with the writers attempting to take some liberties with the story to do their own thing. I understand not wanting to be restrained by the already well-established story that was written literally a decade and a half before the show. But here's the thing: If you purposely refuse to make an effort to appeal to the fans who have loved a franchise since it was first released so that you can give yourself some sort of self-satisfaction, then maybe don't choose to work on that project.
I believe adaptations of any kind should exist to bring something that is loved by a group of dedicated fans to a new medium while still respecting the time that those same people have invested into it. Halo 3 was one of my favorite games of all time growing up, and Halo in general was one of the few universes that I got somewhat heavily invested in. Watching some tool who clearly doesn't care about it try to adopt it is frustrating because of that time investment.
If you like the show, that's fine. I genuinely hope that you enjoy it to its full extent. The CGI and effects are passable, at least. And if you don't really care about the deeper intricacies of the Halo franchise and the reason it appealed to many, then more power to you. But trying to devalue criticisms of the show by saying "Haters gonna hate lmao" only shows that your opinion is one to be taken lightly because you don't want to take the time to critically think about why people might feel the way they do, and that you only care about how you personally feel about something.
I'm not really interested in having an argument in RUclips comments, but I felt I needed to point out the flaws in your logic since you decided to try and devalue my opinions of the show lol.

I haven't even seen Batman yet and I can already tell that Kaya has no clue about the film or Batman.
He only just became Batman, apparently he's a "year 2" Batman, so why does he expect him to have an insane Batmobile or principles like no killing because as far as I know he killed early on.
Also episode 1 of Halo was meh, they showed his face which I thought was fine, the first person scenes are unnecessary, the cinematography is lazy, the focus was off a lot (which annoys me as a filmmaker myself...and yes I know how hard it is to pull focus with a shallow DOF), the action was pretty bad, ...
Most scifi shows I watched lately were way better, so the only reason to watch this, for me at least, is because it's Halo.
And I HATE that they make so many lazy game adaptations by directors, DOPs who have no clue about the look and feel of the source material.

I travelled alot with my family when I was between age 8 and 15. I thought I might be desensitized to flying, but now, in my 20s, I am more afraid of flying than ever after knowing more about reality of modern aircraft (and by the way we don't actually have a real scientific explanation for why planes fly other than the simple monkey explanation why snowmobiles stay on top of the snow)
In the past 6 months I had flown, and eventually, now, made the decision to never fly again.
I'd rather bike across than the continent than fly at this point.

It didn't suck, it was decent. They did break the big cardinal rule of Master Chief not taking off his helmet, but I knew from the start it wasn't going to be like Halo. All Halo lore aside, I still find it entertaining. The CGI also isn't the best for the elites, but again, it's still an interesting story, despite it not being Canon.

At 43:14 Charlie says the Halo books are only supplemental to the games, but you actually can't fully have all the details and understanding of the plot to Halo 4 and 5. The books are required if you want to know what is going on.
thats one of the many problems that make 4 and 5 a failure. you shouldnt need to read books to understand a game franchise over ten years old when 4 came out.

The Batman movie is what I wish and hope superhero movies will start doing. Having the actor be in the suit 90% of the time. The 00s started the whole, character gets the costume at the end of the movie. And that still happens to this day, like in snakeyes. No one just wants to see Bruce wayne all the time as cool as it is. Gives us the costume more. Even Deadpool does that with the many unmasked scenes to show Ryan’s face. Halo tv shows his face, no one wants to see that, bobba fett no one wants to see it. It cuz actors want their faces seen but guess what? WE DONT WANT TO SEE UR FACES ON CHARACTERS THAT HISTORICALLY DONT SHOW THEIR FACES.

Show called Mayday shows this kind of stuff, they’d recall all of the same models to have them checked for the same problem. Not sure if this crash has anything to do with it but you never know.

The batmobile was dope as fuck. I loved the whole rag-tag garage-band feel of Robert Pattinson's Batman. Mixed with the analogue-sci-fi tech and moody Gothic architecture, it was just such a cool aesthetic.
