Thank you for posting this! This will make the game so much easier to understand, and so much more enjoyable. Of course, I'm already so stoked about the game that I honestly don't know if that's possible. Also, I noticed the dice tray is soft rubber. What a clever design! You really went all out!
If you gain a food card with Fast Learning can it be placed on top of your draw pile? I'm assuming yes since Sharp Senses makes the point of saying you cannot do this when acquiring with that card but wanted to check. Loving this game so far, played twice with the Octopus and won both times... but it was close!
Its their way of randomizing where the block goes. Since the octopus player could have knowledge of the block they pull it is possible their placement would not be random. This way, even if the octopus has knowledge of what block is in their hand the shark player still chooses the location.
Do you flip the growth tiles right away when they fill up? The rulebook says you should follow the order, but it doesn't seem you do in this video. Or maybe it doesn't matter?
No, the Shark can’t take it away. If you put it in a safer zone, the Shark might not be able to reveal it. So you can still use it. If it’s revealed, as the Octopus you can’t use it.
One of the main issues I’ve heard around this game is how anti-climatic the game is and how this video ended kind of supports that argument. It is a great game it does feature a lot of luck and the confrontation feels like rock paper scissors but it is very cool when you do have a confrontation and you’re able to survive. Maybe that’s the balance it feels so good and hurts so bad when you lose. What are your guys thoughts on confrontation or how it is changed if at all in the mini expansions? It may be that is the intent after all ; kind of how Captain sonar is just better battleship, this is just better rock paper scissors are using dice as the shark and cards as the octopus did not want to get to play rock paper scissors
Received my copy a few days ago, will play tonight - quick question: if playing as the shark I draw two blue dice and roll the same number, I assume I can only use one to swim the current, and the other is useless? Or does it go into my energy reserve by default?
I believe you can put the dice anywhere on the board on the current spaces, so you can put a 5 next to you so you can use it, and put the other 5 on another side of the board for later use
@@wonderbowgames Thanks for clarifying - I played two games and both times the shark won! Guess I was just lucky enough to find the Octopus so quickly and have a red die on hand!

Thanks for your kind words 💚 we hope you have a great time playing 🎉
Great playthrough and very clear and concise instructions! This is the perfect video to learn the game
Thanks so much! But we still recommend you read the rulebook first 😊
I have received mine the other day. Brillant work guys, thumbs up.
Material the blocks were made of makes me think they can glow in the dark :)
Great video to help with the rules! I got mine in this week and i have to say I'm addicted. One of thr most fun games I've played.
❤❤❤
I just got the email notification that mine shipped! :D
Same here 🎉
Thanks for this video. It will help to learn how to play.
It will 'kelp' to learn how to play...
@@Dagens24😂❤
I received my copy yesterday, so excited to play this at Extra Life. This video is a great example of how to play, Danke schön.
The music choice is great for this video!
Awesome video!
Just got mine! It's beautiful! Do a video on the expansions as well????
Thank you!! We have content about the expansions in the works 😊
Ich kann es kaum erwarten dass es endlich für alle verfügbar wird.

What do you mean when you say 'the shark tells where to put them'(i.e. the blocks)?
Its their way of randomizing where the block goes. Since the octopus player could have knowledge of the block they pull it is possible their placement would not be random. This way, even if the octopus has knowledge of what block is in their hand the shark player still chooses the location.

Question in relation to the explanation: what is the risk with the double shell? Can the shark eat it and get it removed?
No, the Shark can’t take it away. If you put it in a safer zone, the Shark might not be able to reveal it. So you can still use it. If it’s revealed, as the Octopus you can’t use it.
I GOT MINE TODAY!!! SO EXCITED TO PLAY!!

I am still very confused. does drawing cards as the OCTO count as the first move? you did it two different ways multiple times
Drawing cards is one action, yes

correct 👍

28 mins, should the shark have moved?
Yes!
Rules question, when you placed two YELLOW die for searching, is it mandatory to search both places once you revealed the Octopus?
Yes, if you place the dice on the board, you have to use both.
iI’m too interested, I can’t wait for it to arrive in Chile, it’s my mandatory purchase.
Best you contact Delirium Games from Spain. They are working on distribution for Spanish speaking countries 😊
I got mine today!
It seems like the Octopus cannot win the game and it'll eventually die under shark's 3 attacks?
The Octopus has generally plenty of options to win the game 😊 you can read the rulebook on our website (link in video description) to learn more.
Wenn man im Regelvideo so viele Fehler macht… macht man es dann nicht ggf. besser einfach noch mal neu? 😉
lol, I'm tempted to make my own

@@adawuz7342korrekt, es ist kein Regelvideo 👍
