It's great seeing the Custom Camaro back soon to defend his honor. The 50th anniversary Camaro was really strong on the big end, but not enough. Really epic redline racing!
Hi Rob. "WOW" is right! This is some of the most evenly matched racing I've seen in a while. Amazing how fast an original 50 year old Hot Wheel is. I honestly initially thought that the 50th anniversary model was going to win... there I go thinking again! Excellent racing, video, commentary etc as always. See you at the next race! ~ Keith
I was really surprised not that the original won all three races but that the 50th. made it so close.i would like to see the 50th cougar against the original thx for sharing loved it.
Custon Camaro vs Some Hotone wheeled cars that would be interesting the wheels on the Hotones ride super smooth because of the suspension And Metal Chassis. Oooooooh man Let's See it!!!!
Wow I honestly thought this would be the king 👑 would fall but long live the king. I’ve been looking to buy some redlines for racing did you have to straighten the axels or replace the wheels thanks 🙏👍😍
Early redlines, those with bearing wheels , you can bend the axles straight or anyway you wish that you think will benefit the track. There are after market wheels you can buy, sometimes the old redline wheels are cracked or chipped. However, you have to be EXTREMELY careful taking the plastic wheels off the white bearing because, the white bearing may pop off with the wheel, and that makes the car very difficult to repair without removing/replacing the axle to fix or replace. Redlines are EXPENSIVE but they can be very quick. But like all cars our there, not all are quick because of the life they have lead, and some castings are faster then others. Just go through ALL the videos here on Redline race day, there is lots to see and learn.
I did straighten the axles a little bit here on the Custom Camaro and I did a wheel swap. Plus I cleaned the axles with a straw cleaner. It took away some dust and fine hair. It’s now a fantastic car. thanks!!
Whaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!! The Custom Camaro for 3!!!! By the blink of an eye!!!!!!! I do Love it!!! To Me it always seems to be the underdog Talk about an Oldie but Goodie!!🤩 I Love the narration Your exciment and enthusiasm truly captured the race 👍👍!!!!
Right now I’m scheduling just a twin mill race. I’m off for over a week this week coming and I’m thinking of using the stunt set for a mid week race soon.
Happy Belated Halloween to you!! Camaros are really gorgeous muscle cars!! Alright, the original Custom Camaro wins like old times!!! You know, I really wouldn't be surprised if anyone in 1968 actually owned not just a then-new real Camaro, but a Hit Wheels Custom Camaro on the exact same color!
@@RedLineRaceDay Sweet. In fact, a similar thing could've happened with the C3 Corvette. I happen to know that someone who worked for Mattel in 1968 previously worked for General Motors. In 1967 (the year before Hot Wheels was born), the guy snuck with him a copy of the blueprints of the new Corvette design. So technically speaking, the C3 Corvette Stingray made its debut as a Hot Wheels car shortly before it became a REAL car!! Normally General Motors would've been really upset if even a grainy photo of one of their prototype cars was leaked out to the public very early, but in this case, it became extremely popular in 1968 for kids and adults alike.
Ol' Blue was back-halfing the snot out of Goldie on 1 & 3, but case of too little, too late. True testament to how HW made their cars to whup all comers back then. What are the chances you can find a good Topper Johnny Lightning? The ones that insisted they beat everyone?

Yes agreed. Maybe another foot of track might have helped it ?! Happy for the Original 16. Thanks.
I love this head-to-head races 🤩...but the "Camaro Spell" will probably never be broken - not even by a Camaro 😖...🏁
It’s impressive isn’t it! Thanks!!

@@RedLineRaceDay awesome! I too took this week off, I need to make a video also. Any redlines you would like to see me race? 👍
I tend to showcase some of my favourites. Then expand from there. My motto is also ”if ya got em?! race em.” lol

I don’t have any of them Unfortunately. I do have some old red track though.
I think if there was a little more track the blue 50th anniversary would be the winner.
Yes, I think you’re right. I noticed that also.
I think that custom Camaro is using nitrous the official's need to check
lol... its been running great since its arrival. I think its jet fuel :)
Haha yes
Agreed! It’s high test fuel for sure lol.
