My two to-go-to masks are on your list: the XDeep Radical Frameless mask and the Scubapro Frameless mask. Both are exceptionally well-designed, and of top quality for a fair price, they fit my face perfectly, and they look very stylish. Especially Scubapro's classic square design. My wife claims that she'll never use another mask than Scubapro's Twin Synergy mask. According to her, this mask is utter perfection in comfort, quality and price.
I have been using the TUSA Paragon with Prescription since I got back in the water in 2022. This was my 1st mask with a black skirt and tinted lenses. I was worried about it at first, but have loved it, even for night dives in southern California waters.
I spent a lot of time with the M4 and still use it for my backup mask because I put an anti-fog film in it. I tried the M1 but, it didn't fit me quite right, still a good mask though
I've just bought the zeagle scope mono . Surprised it's not on the list ? Great looking and built mask very impressed upon unboxing . Comfort strap, low volume and sleek black skirt with a decent nose pocket (fits really well ) haven't dived it yet but I am excited to take it down for my next dive
Didn't realize so many new options out there. I have two Scubapro masks but now prefer my Cressi and an OMS, both have excellent fit for me, close to the face w/ less volume and wide views to the side and vertically. Must check out some of these new options.
Hello, I am tempted to get the Cressi quantum because of its antifog performance. However, i am down to Cressi quantum, Aqualung Reveal ultra fit, and Tusa FREEDOM HD - they are more or less same price mark. So which one is better in terms build quality, reliability, and field of view? So which one would recommend? Thanks
The Zeagle masks are very nice. I'd probably choose the Mono but, only because I prefer single lens masks. The Scope Dual is equally nice and you can change the colour
I use the Atomic Venom Frameless because of that soft seal. It's best to try them on at a dive center though and find the best fit. Just because a mask boasts a great seal doesn't mean it's going to fit you.
Just curious, I've seen lots about the halcyon H-view, obviously halcyon is very expensive and still not the bets you can get but I just wanted to know people's opinions on it since it does look gorgeous (especially in white)
After 5 masks I found the one for me in thSP Spectra, cause I needed to use a rental mask oneday from our shop and it was better tham my own. Bought it right away. Sadly not all Masks that fit in the store will fit under water as well.
I just tried it on my Shadow and it doesn't fit, it looks like they've developed the buckles for just the webbing straps. I do like the webbing/neoprene straps on the Shadow but, it doesn't look like you can fit bungee straps.
The ScubaPro Synergy was a let down, at least for my face shape, it kept leaking worse than my previous Cressi Big Eyes which costed half of it. Got an AquaLung Teknica now, perfect fit.
I have only been diving with the Hollis M1 for years, I have tried many masks but so far only this one fits properly. I also have the Xdeep, but it has less volume than the Hollis. The distance from the glass to my face is too small there
Please please tell me how you keep a mask sealed with a mustache? I have to shave it all the way down for it to seal at the surface or warm water and I look like Liev Schreiber
I use some beard balm, that I inevitably get for Xmas, across my top lip to help seal the gaps. That and my mask has a very soft sealing surface for a better seal. That being said, water will still find a way in and you just get used to a small amount of water around your nose. Or you switch to a full face mask...
I bought the Atomic Venom probably 8 years ago. The issue was that it was right up against the face above the nose. Very uncomfortable. Could not imagine diving with it so I gave it to a buddy for his daughter. This must be peculiar to low volume masks…..at least for me.
Actually… suprisingly it is not. I have both the XD deep and cressi from this review and I’m really impressed with cressi. It’s reaaaaaly hard to get it foggy - it’s another level comparing to xdeep and I think I’ve never had such a fog-free mask during my 5 years of diving. It has smaller field of view but it’s a minor tradeoff for me. Also what I’ve found annoying for xdeep - it was sitting literally few milimeters from my forehead - which was fine in calm conditions, but when I was jumping from the zodiac on the rough seas or equalizing I accidentally squeezed it and touches my forehead. As a result, I had a greasy stain in the middle of my mas obstructing the view… on the cressi I’ve found that if you will not place it perfectly aligned on your face, your leashes can touch these anti fog skirts which results in a a bit of tickles to your eye - but nothing that you cant live with. For me: cressi>xdeep
@@MeEncantaKiley Sure, you can also say the earth is flat and condensation trails are chemtrails, but it's still bullshit. Silicone is rather used for insulation than for thermal conductivity. Silicon, on the other hand, would make more sense sense. But then there's the problem that it's useless for a diving mask. Also: not sure why being a chemical engineer is relevant for this.
Which one would you recommend for a bearded man? I randomly take water at the mustach with my X-Vision, sometimes the dive is perfectly dry and sometimes it's horrible.
I usually use some beard balm to help create a seal. X-Vision is a good choice because of Mares' LiquidSkin skirt. I also like the Atomic Venom Frameless, it's a pricey mask but, the sealing surface is very soft. Try some beard balm for your next dive, I usually get some for Xmas each year from somebody, and that can help create a seal on your top lip.
@@bersauron I have tested the paragon s and the zensee pro. I could not get the paragon s to stop leaking without making it way too tight. I only had a leak around my mustache. The zensee Pro definitely works better. it doesn't have to be as tight. The silicone seems to be comfortable. The view is incredible for both. I really love the zensee pro and would recommend it. The paragon s might be worth it if you dont have a mustache or dont mind getting the trident mask seal. I actually plan to buy some and retry the mask.

I got the FE Seeker. Absolutely great mask. Very low volume, extremely comfortable.
Love my Venom frameless! Awesome mask!
How do you try these before buying? By try, I mean in the water.
tusa paragon for me, tried everything else... didn't work
Lots of new stuff. Thanks, Mark.

I’ve just got the FE seeker,
And I must say, I love it! Definitely an improvement from my old Oceanic Shadow (which I still love as a spare)
The Shadow is a classic mask, I don't think I know a diver who hasn't dived one at some point in their career.
I have scuba pro frame less my first mask favorite one it is with me for 4 years and apex vx1 is added to my kit year ago both r good one..
Hollis M4 :) i love it. As a backup i have the hollis m1

Yeah, the Mono was very close to being on my list. Comfort strap, large nose pocket, large FOV, the Mono is a great mask
Didn't realize so many new options out there. I have two Scubapro masks but now prefer my Cressi and an OMS, both have excellent fit for me, close to the face w/ less volume and wide views to the side and vertically. Must check out some of these new options.
Great video again, mate! Could you please recommend several more masks for bigger faces?

I love the Cressi Quantum myself, anti-fog is amazing.
Not sure if i shoupd go with the zensee pro, the paragon s or the fourth element.
Any advice for those with a big nose? (Asking for a friend 😳)
Currently using a hollis m1. Looking into getting the Zeagle scope.
The Zeagle masks are very nice. I'd probably choose the Mono but, only because I prefer single lens masks. The Scope Dual is equally nice and you can change the colour
I have the Subapro frameless. It is awesome for sealing, but that thick nose rubber - you need vice grip pinch to squeeze the nose.
Very nice review. Which one works better for bearded guys like us in your opinion ?
I use the Atomic Venom Frameless because of that soft seal. It's best to try them on at a dive center though and find the best fit. Just because a mask boasts a great seal doesn't mean it's going to fit you.
@@ScubaDiverMagazine atomic frameless good for chubby face too? Cause i diving like 1 yeah 5 month now still cant find fit to my face, always leaking

are there any universal comfort straps? I have a Oceanic Shadow and i was wondering if i could fit one of those..
I just tried it on my Shadow and it doesn't fit, it looks like they've developed the buckles for just the webbing straps. I do like the webbing/neoprene straps on the Shadow but, it doesn't look like you can fit bungee straps.
@@ScubaDiverMagazine okie dokie, I'm OK with the strap it has, I just think the comfort straps looks cooler haha, thank you for checking 🍻

Cressi A1, the most underrated but best mask on the market. Sad that has been discountinued. Didnt try the Quantum.
💥Hollis M4 !💥
Halcyon H-View, sparemask ScubaPro Frameless

The ScubaPro Zoom was made specifically for my face, that is what I choose to believe.

Tusa Paragon is still the best mask for me
Hollis M1 forever
Lost my mares demon while ins egypt and never found a better One.... It's also hard to find a mares demon used mask, anyone is selling it ?

Scubapro frameless... I need this one!..
Scubapro. Ribbed for her comfort.
Tusa Zansee
I use a Genesis Rx mask
No Hollis or Tusa?! Come on.
