I appreciate this video... showing that you don't need to do speed run strats... I'm definitely going to give this one a go after my Carbon Footprint playthrough
I am just gonna ask the obvious, why does he have to go to the library and to the the third floor when he was in the main hall, he was so near to the exit?
To anyone struggling: build shotgun shells because they are one tap kills. When Mr X is coming after you try to hit him with the magnum every once in a while to slow him down. Go slow during the clicker bits and only run once you've gotten past. Getting bit can genuinely be your best friend at times because your not always going to lose health and at certain times if a zombie bites you, your character will push it into other zombies or enemies and stagger them so you can just run past (this is purely luck tbf but it works). Learn when to and when not to engage - the first sewer part can genuinely be ran without shooting a bullet.
That's what I have been doing this whole time ! I'm on my 10th try with this and it's my last trophy for platinum I literally can't bro I don't have enough ammo or lethals when I get down the ladder
This is an excellent guide due to showing you can mess up without worrying about losing the entire round AND being a showcase of some incredible quick-reaction skills! Some of the headshots/dodges you managed had me nearly cheer for you, it was so great! And also a nail-biter, I felt genuine relief you made it at the end and I knew you did since it's on youtube LOL.
Thanks for the video. I might go back and try this mode some more, as the farthest I got was a little past the first X encounter. Your guide showed great use of the healing items while just charging thru some of the gauntlet areas.
Thinking about it - The 4th Survivor is PEAK survival horror. A simple story - A desperate escape against overwhelming odds. Ammo is extremely limited so you have to use it extremely strategically, whilst kneeling when to dodge, when to shoot, when to take a bite instead of a defensive item - it really is all about the perfect balance of life, ammo and survival. All the while fighting every monster in the game, and, at the very end, it’s impossible to survive if you have used up everything already, so, you HAVE to think about wether to go for the kill, a single one shot stun, or run past and avoid for every previous enemy encountered before the final scenario. The blaring music and unrelenting pressure make it a horrific ordeal, but, just like dark souls - it’s a power fantasy. Making it out even once has a feeling of total bliss, like you yourself just escaped the impossible. It’s a masterpiece of survival horror game design. Now if only HUNK could get his own game...
Artificial difficulty, did you honestly see the enemy placements? They were deliberately placed in those spots to have easy access to he player. Not a fan of this kind of design at all. It's all one linear path to the finish line. Nothing feels organic, like its a huge conveyor belt or assembly line. There's a real difference between a really well made survival horror game and this.
The home stretch is close to the end where 2nd run starts, nothing but zombies, a g creature, and an ivy zombie. That was part had me thinking I wouldn't make it, but I skimmed through thanks to a zombie bite that redirected the ivy zombie's attention.

I'm not usually a trophy hunter these days but this one is the last I miss on both PC and PS4... holy hell though. Hardest achievement/trophy of the game, hands down, no contest. I've yet to get past the S.T.A.R.S. office corridor alive, what the developers throw at you in this mode is complete madness. I never understood what people get out of frustratingly unfair arcade-style modes like this or Mercenaries, never liked them and if I didn't miss this last frickin' achievement/trophy on 2 platforms by now I would never bother to play them. Sigh.
Took me 6 trys to beat this mode and had to figure out a pattern which worked out in the end. Still nails to do but this was last trophy and I have platinum now.
"I wanted to meet the grim reaper" dude didn't know his survival rate has just dropped to nearly zero... the grim reaper isn't only because hunk always gets the job done and kills anything in his way, it mostly because usually the people around him(or in his team) all die while he is the sole surviver...night hawk is gonna die faster than a l4d pilot lol...
I died the first time at the beggining about 2 min in the game and I won my second run, but at the last staircase Mr. X hit me and I had no more healing and no more health so one more hit and I would have died and when I was next to the gate I dropped my controller cause I was panicking and it moved my guy to the right and this is how I doged a dog that tried to jump at me..and it would have killed me ..but I'm glad I did it in 2 tries :)
There’s a glitch in the game that if you start a new game on assisted difficulty you will have aim assist for the zombies but not Tyrent or the other special zombies

because you have red+green+blue then red+blue (only gives poisen resistance and better defense) and blue+green (gives only one healthpoint back and poison Resistance)
@@ericjoestar1065 red+blue also earns temporary better defense too. Played this recently and I used it since it was my last recovery item while on danger and I managed to take about 4 hits/bites before going down
The only part of this that is kind of dumb is Mr. X attacking you, I mean I thought he was there to kill witnesses but Hunk works for Umbrella? So? I am probably overthinking it as this is just a challenge map and throwing in Mr. X certainly makes it challenging if not a little broken. I got to the 7 minute mark then he punched me and Zombies ate me. Couldn't help but wonder "So why is he here?" Just saying.
The same thing was happening to me so i decided to let him grab me and put a flash bang in his mouth and shoot him after the grab animation is done. That's how i completed it. Hopefully this helps you. Good luck!
Neither am I, but if you want to complete this game 100% this has to be done, sadly. And even if you don't want to, at least Hunk is required for the platinum achievement :(
This is basically all my first few runs until i watched speedruns on youtube to prepare myself on hardcore S+ranks. I was like "why do these vids can see everything in a dark hallway when all i can see is what's at the end of my flashlight?" Since then, i turned the brightness up on the settings. But i could say i'm glad i experienced it first in the dark, brings more fear and dread.
Oh fuck that for a joke. I made it back into the RPD and got killed by Mister X and I had nowhere near as much ammo at that point. I think they can keep this platinum
@Radovid V The King of Redania I did actually beat it at 11 minutes :) It's actually not that bad if you follow some of the playthroughs online...Just save your grenades for the final run towards the entrance. Makes that part a hell of a lot easier. Took me two hours to beat, but I did get it in the end :)
Got through it luckily on my 2nd try. Run was a little different from yours. I had 1 grenade by the time i got to the rpd where the chopper crashed at. Used it on the 1 ivy then caught wheels faster than tom brady can deflate balls. Pulled out the shotty shot all the standing zombies legs off while having a 1st aid spray just in case and mr. X on my ass about to give it to me. 😥😤😧😧😧😧😧 #OnGBruh If tofu is as hard as this as i remember from ps1 re2 i might just say yeah i submit because those times had me crying back then.
Nectarine Smith the bad aim at the start was because of being surprised that female zombie didn‘t get stunned xD it threw me out of concept somehow lol
Sagacious Gaming while playing tofu i found out a consistent way of dodging this first zombies everytime. Run on the left past the first 2 and in the right for third :D
I think it just shows how lenient this mode actually is, he also had some bad luck at some points, i was able to run away from some enemies but here they caught him.
@@yinyangmemory yeah, I ran by most of the mobs he ended up killing. In the parking lot I only had to down one zombie to the right and I used flash on Mr. X so I could have time to blast zombies in my way and walk down the west hallway to the staircase so the licker wouldn't be agro'd.
Got all the way to the end where youre outside, turned the corner, let off a few rounds and yup got eaten lol. Should have saved my flashbangs for this part along with my grenades
Tyrtant ruined my run for me. He just lifted me off the ground and snapped my character neck, even though I was at full health. He never once did that in the game on on this run I can see he stuck to punching. I doubt I can be arsed to try again.
Leon, Claire and Sherry got out first, making them the first three survivors. Then followed by Hunk (making him the 4th survivor), Ada, Jill and Carlos (probably in that order).

You have to have enough ammo/grenades by the end, otherwise you will never make it out of the courtyard

This run confirmed you can stumble through this however you want to but you must have at least 2-3 throwable’s once you get to the courtyard.

Yeah I noticed that as well. I completed the game on Assisted for Frugalist and minimalist. Even with aim assist, it's still a pain

Easily the hardest and most frustrating trophy in the game. I die every time at the very end to an insta kill by the plant zombies. So frustrating
