One way ANOVA in SPSS: How to generate planned contrasts using lmatrix subcommand (Feb 2021)

  • This video demonstrates how you can use the /lmatrix command to generate planned contrasts as part of your one-way ANOVA output in SPSS. Although technically one can specify contrasts using contrast coefficients via the drop down menu for one-way ANOVA, it is not possible to do so with more complex ANOVA designs. As such, practice with the /lmatrix subcommand can be helpful when you are analyzing more complex models using factorial or ANCOVA designs.
