- This video will show you about installation of EVE-NG software on a BareMetal server. I've an ASUS server where it has been installed.
You need to have a Monitor, Bootable USB with EVE-NG software, Keyboard and an Internet connection from the server.
Thank you Ji, I will be subscribing to you Udemy classes. Well explained.
Great video, thank you very much.
Thanks a lot mate.
Thank you.
If there is no OS on the hard drive and I follow this process will it work? Have a few questions
1. If I connect a LAN cable from the home wifi router how will the Internet work, wont it need any drivers
2. Once the EVE-NG is running on the bare metal server, will I be able to RDP to it as its quite noisy and am planning to put it in the garage?
Thank you.
I noticed you log into EVE-NG using 'native console' rather than HTML. When I do that on my Mac I can't use either Telnet when connecting to nodes or 'VNC Viewer'. With Telnet I get an error because there is no Telnet in Mac OS Ventura and when attempting to use VNC Viewer the Mac instead uses its own Screen Share instead of VNC. Have you found a solution to this? I have to log into EVE-NG using HTML5 rather than 'native console'.
I tried doing same on my M1 macbook Pro but it didn’t work.
Please help
may I need ubuntu server be installed first? thanks
If you are installing eve ng directly then yes install Ubuntu because eve ng is not an operating system. Alternatively you can install esxi on bare metal
Can you confirm the BM server model pls?
ASUs, will check the exact model and tell you later
