My last video from Iraq is from my visit to the fascinating city of Mosul, once occupied by ISIS, and now on the road to recovery! Here I show both the old town and the new side of the city, and show you the best things to do here and why you should travel here. The last of my Iraq travel series!

Hi Janet, I wanted you to know that on this river (Dijlah) and two years ago (21/march/2019) a tragedy happened in Mosul when a huge Ferry sank into the river, and more than 120 people including women and children died when the ferry was taking people into a tourism island to have fun on Mother’s Day but a lot of children came back without mom, it was a painful time for all Iraqi people, Mosul went through so much terrible and sadness but still trying to get back to its beauty again. sorry for any grammatical mistake ( English is not my first language) and thank you Janet for coming to Iraq you are very welcome at any time ❤️

Thanks Janet for the amazing video. I am originally from Mosul. It is hard to see the destruction of the old town, 😢😢, the place where I was born, grew up and went to school. My brother and sisters are still living there. Seeing the newer modern region of Mosul gives me hope for a better future. Thanks again for visiting Mosul

Ofcourse Janet I always enjoy your video brief&complete explanation👍. Alhamdulillah Mosul are more develop in its economy, I hope there are some restoration on those ruin building&mosque. This city is very potential to invite more tourist to come. The food especially thin pizza, city at night, and historic spot are exciting.

Fun fact : the mosque in 14:25 is still old it was built in 1756 and was fixed after the isis war
Another fun fact the castle on the river was destroyed even before the isis war .
