I remember as a kid my dad would take me to a department store that sold collectible Barbies. I always wanted the Fabergé collection, and Bob Mackies. If my dad had gotten them for me back then it would be amazing. But we were poor so he got me a 1958 used Midge doll from the salvation army I treasure cuz she is pre Barbie. I have some Holiday Barbies and specialty ones but none are the vintage designer ones or dolls I truly wanted. The 80s were magical for Barbie😍😍😍 yours are all stunning💜💜💜

I remember getting a really beautiful Barbie for Christmas when I was a kid. When I asked if she had any other outfits my mom handed me another package and said she sure does. I opened the package and it was a small singer sewing machine, pattern fot Barbie clothes and scraps of fabric. I hooked my Barbie up with pants, shirts, gowns, and blouses. I hooked her up and if you can makes jeans for a Barbie you can sew anything lol.
OMG....I also designed clothes for my Barbies. My grandmother was a seamstress and taught me how to sew. I am grateful for her stylish looks and her legacy for fashion!
I'm kinda jealous and I didn't even like Barbies as a kid. But maybe if I actually got some nice ones and we're able to make them outfits I would of liked them more. That sounds so fun. I'm pretty sure I only got the Barbies that were super cheap. Like dollar store Barbies😂 I was more of a tomboy as a kid but I would of totally loved this.
My inner 8 yo girly self is just itching to touch every doll & brush their hair. Oh, the fashion shows I put on with my Barbie's were so much fun. I can't pick a fave one, I like them all.

I buy a lot of clothes for them off of Amazon and my granddaughter and I play barbie fashion show all the time. My favorite of all time is Barbie Rapunzel because of her super long hair 💞 Thank you for sharing your collection with us! I have been collecting since I was a child. I got my first one in 1977, and haven't stopped yet. I now own over 600, and have an entire room in my home full. I also have pink Christmas trees i put up with only Barbie ornaments. Thank you for sharing I adore your collection. :)

Barbi'es have dropped in value so much it breaks my heart. my entire 600 piece collection doesn't even go for a million as they have dropped so much in recent years.
Thats awesome. Where the ornaments from Hallmark? I remember as a child always getting a Barbie Hallmark ornament as well as a Holiday Barbie for Christmas.

People want NRFB (Never Removed From Box) & want the box in virtually Pristine condition. 🙄 The dolls that really go up in value are the original Barbies from the - what ? Late 50s & 60s, especially the Original ponytail Barbie in the Zebra bathing suit- not the reproductives. Even without a box they can go for thousands & in mint condition with good box & all accessories can go for 25,000. @Rich Lux should google most valuable Barbies & check eBay to see what dolls go for, etc…

I wish mine were in original packaging, as they would be worth a lot. But mine were well played with, well loved. I am a child of the 60’s, so most of my barbies were from the 60’s and 70’s and a couple of them passed down from my older sisters. I have a 1957-1958? Not sure which, but pretty sure 1957.....original Barbie. Even have her original dress, which is just a little worse for wear. Another part of the Barbie collection, is I have a Midge doll, pretty sure also 1957. All of the original Barbies are completely hard body dolls. No bendable knees or feet. Or hands like a few of the later dolls. There was a tv series called Julia back in late 60’s, early 70’s... not sure. Julia was a nurse. I have the Julia doll too, with most of her nurse outfit. The actress that played Julia recently passed away. Sad day. She was always a gorgeous lady. I have another Barbie doll or two, given to me in my collection. And the last doll I ever got was for my 9th birthday. A skipper doll. Part of the Barbie collection too, and I still have her as well. A few years ago, I decided I would start a bigger Barbie collection, and keep them in their original boxes. Haven’t done any more as far as that goes, but love Barbies. With your Barbies by the way, I see certain colors or types of fabric that the company used back in the day.? Ironic.Or I should be saying iconic actually.

I never liked dolls. When I was young my parent took me to an open casket funeral and dolls reminded me of dead people. They give me the creeps.🤷♀️My morbid 2 cents.
I loved Rich's collection but I never liked dolls either. When I was a kid there was an old lady that lived next door to me. Her living room as filled with dolls. She would talk to them all the time like they were alive. As a kid it was so creepy to me and scary. Lol

I am 65 and have every single Barbie I've ever had since i was a wee little girl. I have some of the same ones you do!!! I have several that are insured, not all of them because i don't have their papers. Love my girls!! Your collection is awesome my friend!!!

I have the Spanish Barbie and am Spanish myself. She doesn’t have a sombrero, because she is from Spain 🇪🇸 not Mexico 🇲🇽. And bullfighting is a Spanish culture thing that I assume became apart of Mexican culture due to Spaniards colonization of Native Americans.

I have been collecting and took over my Grandmothers collection with what I Could from the Estate Sale Rosemary Tucker 1/12th scale. Victorian type just beautiful. They are all Fabulous Rich. Mine are in Glass domes. Away from the elements. A tad smaller than Barbie. But love the 60s barbies . Mine retail over grand a piece. Hold on to them and take care of them. Mine are not a million but over a grand a piece.
I also love the vintage 60's Barbies! My dream is to own the original Roman Holiday Barbie that came with her own tiny brass compact with a powder puff.

One of my favorite and lovely memories it’s go to the toy store to buy clothes and accessories for my Barbies. I don’t have them anymore, but I loved them so much. There was a Puerto Rican Barbie once. Love your collection.

I loooooooved this video Rich. The total interest in your eyes kept me watching and I never knew how to play with Barbies. I never understood as my Mother was Native American and we were taught to be very staid and show no emotion. My grandmother was born in 1898 and so the old ways were still very much alive!!!!

My mom was born in 1956 and Her uncle worked for Mattel so she got every Barbie that came out from the very first one through the mid-late 1960. She saved all of them and let my sisters & I play with them along with all of the dolls that they gifted us as children (again, every released Barbie from about 1978 through about 1990). As we got older we freaked out that my mom let us play with dolls that were so valuable, that’s when she told us that every time she got a doll as a child, she got a duplicate to save “for her children”. She has the very first ever Barbie still in the damn box!!! It along with a few more are kept in a safe deposit vault at her bank. We’ve tried to talk her into selling them but she refuses, they were supposed to be for her children, but now she says they’re for her grandchildren. She has sentimental attachments to them since everyone in her family has passed (she was an only child), so she doesn’t want to let them go. But now my daughter plays with the 1st Barbie (the one we played with, not the one in the box). I’m still horrified that my sister cut her hair when we were young though.

I actually had to watch another video that showed all the happy holidays from 1988 to 2018. I really enjoyed this video so much. It brought back a piece of my childhood. I can remember when I would get those dolls and open them on Christmas I used to always wish I had a dress just like it. I really hope you do another video and show more of your collection please.

I have some of those!!! I have all the Holiday Barbies in their box. I got one every Christmas since 1989 (or 1988) from my parents. Once I got married my husband would get me the Holiday Barbie, now I get it for my daughter. I also have other collectors Barbies like the actual My Fair Lady Barbie.

My favorites are the my fair lady, the flirty Christmas, "the drama" lavender castle, the royal splendor, the "come for me" pink dress, the neon Christmas, Glenda the good witch, the dramatic green gown with fans, the black gown with hot pink, the bow barbie, the Spanish barbie, the fashion model, the nutcracker!
