    The referee will stop the fight when they determine the fighter cannot actively defend themselves. Unfortunately the fighters attack waaaay faster than the refs can react 😂😂😂

      And also fighters have made epic comebacks after looking like they are finished, so refs sometimes will make 100% certain a fighter is done before he calls it. Look up Cheick Congo vs Pat Berry for the most epic comeback of all time!

      Knowing comebacks happen in UFC is badass! Always seemed far-fetched on pro wrestling.
      Makes sense from the refs perspective, and gd dude you’re right these people are lightning fast. Can’t imagine it’s easy to back off thinking your opponent might get up.
      And I’ll check it out!
