I am enjoying all the changes they have put into season 4, and much of what they just dropped and are adding are straight from Diablo 3 and should have been in game since day 1. Honestly, I'm finding it a little hard to swallow the price of the expansion. Not to mention the cosmetic store, the character models are so small that you can't hardly tell anyone is using a cosmetic from the store unless it has a VFX to it and on top of that they want 35-30$ for them!?! At least in like destiny I can see someone's gear and be like wow that is awesome.... D4 , I am not paying $30 and I look the same as the noob scrub next to me because everything is so small. I could justify the pricetag on cosmetics IF THE GAME WAS FTP. There is still just so much wrong greed wise that is rubbing me the wrong way.

Yeah I have a hard time paying money for cosmetics that don't look much different than what we get in-game anyway. People say they know what they are doing in terms of pricing, there might be whales out there buying literally everything at these high prices who knows
The expansion is the same price as both LoD (2001) and RoS (2013) at $40. When you account for inflation, it ends up technically being cheaper. I'm sorry, but the price is absolutely reasonable. Talking about the higher tiers is a disingenuous, pointless endeavor as it is cosmetic. It will either be worth it to people, or not. The base edition, however, is a completely normal price point.
@@etrosknight2254 Of course there are people who pay that pricing, I am one of them. I have the money for it, I enjoy Diablo, and play it enough that I find the value is worth it. On the flipside, I don't spend money on things like alcohol, cigarettes, pot, etc. all of which are way more expensive.

You don't have to buy it for base game updates!
The expansion is the same price as both LoD (2001) and RoS (2013) when they came out at $40. If you include inflation, it makes VoH cheaper.

"They can't" is a far cry from "they didn't." They specifically stated they are doing a class spotlight on the 18th, and I'm sure more details and video will be revealed as we get closer to release.

after playing Season 4, we know Season 5 will be just as good or better. Thinking about how much you played D3. Im pretty sure the time invested into the game = the money spent for this, is fair.
Think about going to the theater, you pay $10-12 without snacks for 2-3 hours. This season i have played over 60Hours, lets say i play the expansion for 60hours aswell. i have only spent $1.48 per hour, insted of $3.3 going to the theater per hour.
I know personally that i will spend atleast some time in seasons in the future, just like D3, didnt play everytime, maybe every second or third season. But overall when you look at the cost per hour of gameplay, its very cheap!.

@MoZz We actually don't know if season 5 will be just as good or better. Season 2 was pretty good but season 3 sucked ass in every way. They keep giving us dogshit content and then make it up to us by just making everything OP as shit. It's happened for the past 2 seasons and now in Season 4 every class is so broken you can go from 1-80 in less than 2 days as a casual. Season 5 they are 100% nerfing stuff and people will complain again only for Season 6 to buff everything again. It's just a toxic cycle.

I'm responding to your video because it is misleading people to think the D4 is now 100 percent worth it due to its expansion being announced when in reality no gameplay or information was officially given yet. Even last epoch has a better end game when compared to D4 loot reborn. Also Don't worry about me abusing myself, I'm doing very well mate. Just be more honest next time. Do you guys really don’t like to use the actual right words? I bet the “extension” will get a discount after 3 months. Corporate America is to maximize profits, and one way to do it is to set the retail price very high, and make big discount on some days, targeting different people. Best example is the flight ticket price with price changes everyday.
$40 for an expansion with very little new content, with features that are a lazy copy from D3, is not worth it at all.

I would love a zombie or bloated zombie that charges in and explodes like the ones we see in the game. Wraiths, specters, and Lich are just some pet ideas. Going for more bones, like a giant skeletal hand that erupts from the ground and smashes in a line. There are ideas for them to play with.

hi bro,hi hope that new raids be like wow raids,8 at 9 boss,hard to do,those new boards like you say schould be for each skill we have,to we build the character like we want,not see now they say anythink about increase the characters maximum level,like that gonna be new expansion ,in my opinon they should increase the caracters level to 110 or 120,more points to paragon boards.
If raids happen we need a group finder or bust!
The new pets are also messing with Necro minion builds, in a good or bad way, depending on things. I'm sure you're probably planning on making a video on it soon. :)
Seriously? Different editions of an expansion? And cheapest edition cost is equal to some full games? Is the expansion content really worth that much? I don't think so. Diablo 4 is hardly worth that much in itself in my opinion.

Reaper of Souls did the same thing for D3 and it was waaaaay worse at launch than D4. It took firing the entire dev team and hiring a new one to fix that game and it was only playable, conveniently, once RoS launched.

The Xpac is Cheaper than the base game and cheaper than D3 and D2 Xpacs on released, adjusted for inflation.
I dont get why Blizzard keeps skipping their own progress and starts over each xpacs..i mean .. we've had pets for years..why restart that and try and resell it as something new...

What? No transforming? The Druid can only transform into a bear or wolf like creature. This is a different class that seems to have jungle features and the look makes me think more Amazon Aztec so I could see them transforming into a jaguar but I think more likely will have the ability to summon them, the green in the background makes me think they could use potions and explosives to create smoke or daze as for weapons I think spears maybe knives new type of sword(s). May also be a ranged class but could throw spears or maybe even a blow gun. With the class name spirit born I think they could take on traits of animals too maybe slashing attacks when taking on spirit of a jaguar or panther, using another animal to get mobility. On the fence atm if I’m going to grab this the price tag is very hefty even for the bare minimum. I think it would be best to get standard as a pre order after July if you fancy the new class. As that’s the best value but only if you get the pre order bonuses after that honestly might be worth waiting for a sale

How did You made that gaming math for most expensive edition ??? 89.99 (Ultimate Edition) - 24.99 (3000 tokens) - 9.99 (1000 tokens needed for premium battle pass) = that gives 55 euro. So its not for the price of standard edition but for the price of Deluxe one.

@@blaynegreiner9365 Yea I have same issue - If game has crossplatform feature, then why I have to pay twice for the game. Battle Pass is account Wide and works on both PC and PS5, so I thought Expansion will work same way.
@@P4wnyhof Update for my question: I contacted Blizzard support and got response that for Diablo 4 DLC, You have to buy it separately for PC and For console. Only good thing is that if You buy Ultimate edition for one, then for other You just need to buy standard one, and both PC and PS5 will have benefits from Ultimate version.
Kinda sad though that You are forced to pay quite a lot extra money if You want to be able to play on more than one platform.

Campaign, campaign, campaign. The campaign in D4 is horrible right now. An extra Act or two in the Expansion will be worthless if it's just more of what D4 currently has. The BIGGEST issue is the lack of difficulty. Everything has been nerfed into the ground, so that people can speed into the Endgame. Your character sneezes and kills a mob of enemies with 3 Elites and a Boss. Nice for leveling and powering up, but it's ruined the Campaign. I will only buy the Expansion if Blizzard "restores" the Campaign. GREATLY increase the Campaign's difficulty and add in a reward system for it that will make it worth playing (maybe make the rewards comparable to Helltide farming).
This is f****** crazy.I literally bought the ultimate edition.And pre-ordered this game and I've been a Diablo fan since the 90s.And now you have to buy another expansion pack in order to play the new character and the new area.After they made the game free on game pass.And I already paid ninety dollars for it. Fucking bullshit if that's all happens I'll never play diablo again. Ever. Any of em. Idc what any of you say. It's bs. Refund us all ffs .

I think it will be some kind of spirit animals that are called upon to attack. And then in a kind of ghost form. A bit like the spirit wolf from World of Warcraft shaman character.

Let's stop pretending pets havent been in D3 for years and mercenaries haven't been in D3 since launch. Charging money for "features" like this is crazy and shows how creatively bankrupt the team is. Classes need an entire skill overhaul with more choices besides A and B, not just a few new skills. But by all means keep consuming slop and calling it "100% worth it".
You got a free dog, the other 3 are much cooler than the dog, but does exact same things. I would say the tiger I mean cat is the best looking one. I like cats, don’t want to keep a real life pet though.

@@dizk8488 1. You don’t know the actual structure of expansion, how big it is, what actual includes. Is it locked behind the expansion? Likely, I can’t say for sure though.
2. Mercenary is a feature, and any feature can be made for sale. Poe has mandatory stash tabs and it still advertises as free. Nothing is a “should” in this world. There is no free lunch in this world.
3. Many games are like unfixable, and it’s there sucking people’s money. EA has those stupid basketball or soccer games like 100 of them, each one simply a change of skin of the underlying game. I don’t know, man, those games are like $70 each with just a skin change every year. What’s your point of complaining an actual additional feature needs to be implemented instead of a simple skin change and charge a full triple A game price? You know, those FIFA or NBA garbage games.

The raids weren't the problem in Lost Ark, they were actually awesome. The problem is the MMO Gear Score.

I've already pre-ordered. The cat mount is amazing! I hope there will other mount types like wolves, bulls or even rhinos. It feels great to ride a cat.
You are the quintessence of a modern gamer - stupid visual bullshit and unnecessary cosmetics are more important than focusing on real gameplay, refining character development (because, in my opinion, the current season leaves a lot of room for improvement in this respect) or finally creating an endgame - because it's hard to call the pit (aka 'greater rifs') an endgame.
@@ps6015 I only said I enjoyed the cat mount, I never said I didn't care about the gameplay or character development. There is obviously still a lot for Blizzard to do in this area, but the cat mount is a huge win in my opinion!

what do you mean it is only 40 bucks though? am i the only one who thinks the price is too high? diablo 4 did COST 70 BUCKS. the game is barely 1 year old. i could understand if it was 2 years. but this is just another seasonal patch which they charge you for because "we have a new class". 25 bucks after 1 year i can accept.

@@P4wnyhof I can well imagine that Blizzard will release a second new class before the 2nd expansion. With Diablo Immortal they also added 2 classes in one year. Besides, the competitive pressure will be very high next year when PoE2 is released. We'll see...

Would be a waste of time, pvp is a horribly balanced mess. They would have to have some mechanism for balancing power and toughness between players regardless of their class or build, otherwise you'll just have barbs with 100% damage reduction vs elites being completely immune to damage
I don't see it happening, sadly. PvP is an afterthought for Diablo. I'm just glad we have the Fields of Hatred at all considering D3 had no PvP once they got rid of the duel arena thing.
It saddens me that people will actually pay 20$-40$ extra for these dumb ass cosmetics and a few features that should already be in the game and I have been in there past games at no extra charge. What anyone else does with there money is none of my business but this will never stop if people keep buying this garbage.

What "features" are in the higher tier editions "that should already be in the game?" It's literally in game currency and cosmetics. Some people have disposable income despite the horrible economy and will spend it on what they see fit. I'm sure you spend money on things that I would personally think is stupid, but it is your money to spend.
This is a $15 expansion. Honestly the shop has been a big turn off for me, to get nickel and dimed like that for a full price game and then be asked to overpay for new content, won't be long until I'm looking for the door.
Considering all the most recent Blizzard games have microtransactions, D4 will likely be my last purchase. Just disgusts me to see the gaming industry devolve into this over the past 20 years.

Ive been playing season four and have discovered Blizzard does not respect my time, so I'm done with this game. Tempering an item with a choice of four possible affixes, many times, an unsuitable affix has rolled 5, 6 or even 7 times in a row. Statistically that is highly unlikey, so Blizzard is intentionally bricking your items to keep you in game. Not a surprise from the makers of Diablo Immortal, but its not a good look, tampering with drop rates to make your time worse with the game. I'm surprised this has not been noticed or commented on, guess don't rock the boat and suck it up.
I will be happy as long as it have some pets, but knowing life it probably some warrior spinoff looking at the promo. Then again I could be wrong...

I have a shadow minion build it's using the ebonpeircer I would like you to look at at see if you can make it better it's hitting for 1,2,3 million plus and it's not fully master worked still on first tier master work
For ebonpiercer you want alot of damage flat because it double dips over shadow over time!
A shadow minion build doesn't need Eponpiercer imo. That unique is best for a blight only build no pets. If using Blight with Minions is best to go full shadow made minion but use blight just to get a damage boost.
Diablo (were not pay to play) 😂😂😂. Look how many times they have ballsed up seasons and they expect people to part with even more money before they have even tried to integrate an expansion. Thank god Path of Exile 2 will soon be here.
50 dollars plus for a DLC for a game we paid 70 dollars for and they made new pve modes, new campaign to divexinto and one new character and pets. Doesn't seem like its worth that much especially when Diablo 3 had it all for free. Blizzard is literally squeezing everyoje for their pennies ane they are all throwing them. Already uninstallee the game casue they just split the community doing this. If this was an MMO lik wow or eso i would go in but this isnt even close to that.

The mistborn looks like a monk merged with a witch doctor. It would be a solid win if Blizzard does end up doing another class being the Paladin.

I'm seeing way too many wings and new mounts on the server. I'm confused as to what the heck is going on. Preordering again? Did everyone forget launch? Did everyone forget seasons 1 through 3?
Just to be clear, I too love most of the changes. heck, I have over 1000 hours clocked for the game as it is ( I also completely stopped and deleted the game midway through season 2 and didn't touch season 3). I refuse to participate in justifying the broken/incomplete game launch trend that everyone seems to be so comfortable with for some reason.
Hype/FOMO or whatever you call it - I'm gonna call it what it is, it's an issue. It's bad for the gaming industry. Nothing will change if you continue this habit of fomo-purchasing nonsense.

"Gaming math" is a funny term. Blizzard is probably very happy seeing people fall for their calculation model where expensive versions are basically free adding all this ingame currency. Also 3000 platinum is more like 3x 9.99.
Must admit I bought the ultimate version and my platinum is stacking up like crazy - no regrets!
End of the day you decide yourself what to do with your personal money :)
And if there is enough value well it might be worth to buy

Co-op raids, useless, I don't co-op. Pets, even more useless. Mine is active now, Do you think he's visible through my 11 minions? New class, It's ok, something to try. I just hope their co-op raid can be done solo.
Bigger problem is price. 54$ Cdn for the base version of the dlc, 120$ for the ultimate or what ever it's called. If they lock all the best gear behind such paywall, am done.

@@Jayhawker2000 So long as you agree that D2 Lord of Destruction was pay to win, sure, any video game expansion that leads to higher levels and higher power and also costs money falls under that category. It's muddying the water to use that term though, there's a big difference between a paid expansion and having microtransactions to give you temporary exp boosts, attack power boosts, prevention of destroying your items while upgrading, or prevention of experience loss on death. "Pay to win" means something specific, you shouldn't bandy the term about inappropriately because you think all content added to a game post-launch should be free
@@etrosknight2254 I haven't played D2. But any multiplayer game where you can pay money to get an increase in power is "pay to win". Whether that payment takes the form of many microtransaction or one macrotransaction is irrelevant. They could still charge for the expansion so long as the new co-op mode was either free for everyone or didn't give unique power boosting rewards.

@@LahaineMySelf devs talked about their dissatisfaction how players interact with skill points and paragon. They are actively working on making it better but they also said, "it is long term and won't be anytime soon." Refrencing a season or 2 as soon. It takes a long time to make satisfying multiplayer games and they had to rework a ton in the game. The devs and fans are passionate.

I don't like the thiefling companion. To me, it doesn't fit the lore and universe of Diablo. Whatever explanation and justification they might have for it, it will be weak.
Feels to me they're overdoing the modernization and refreshing of the series. I don't think Diablo even needs to be altered to appeal to modern audiences.
What it currently is and what it has been for almost 30 years is what makes the game unique. If they modernize it, it will no longer be Diablo.

Thats what I wanted FAR MORE then a paladine or tank type character...IDK like a crusader....definetly when I was thinking about what Id like to see in the game it was some clown from the jungle.
