I first had ordered the PVY Z20 Plus (1000w), but the bike I received didn't have the same colour screen (a blue & white screen) and not the same motor as you Brits (I'm in France). Also it was missing a lot of options and I couldn't barely do any adjustments in the settings and I couldn't even use the accelerator when the bike was at full stop for instance (though they might have fixed that after many of us got really angry about that). As a result I send it back and got the Engine Pro instead and I'm really happy with it. It feels nicer : better screen, better grips, more convenient rear rack with more anchors points, better shifter, more convenient thumb accelerator, battery regen which also acts as a motor brake in steep downhills and save the pads of the brakes, mag wheels, sturdier folding system of the handlebar. The best thing is how customizable it is in the settings, you can even adjust the threshold of each speed level assist if you want. And because of the sale of the Black Friday, it cost me less than the PVY.
I also encountered the same situation as you. After communication, it turned out that it was a temporary change due to insufficient display supply (they told me that the display in the picture will be restored in November), and then PVY quickly sent me the same information as in the video Same display and controller, I got all the settings back. I have to say that PVY deserves recognition. They have been optimizing quality and service. There may be shortcomings, but they have worked very hard to solve them. My friend owns an Engine Pro, and we went camping together. He also liked my PLUS very much. Its functions are not inferior, and it is even better in some details. It supports 5 levels of pedal assistance, and can also set a 6km/h walking mode in throttle mode, and the settings can also be customized. The package also comes with a grip without accelerator, which can be replaced as needed. It gives me more options and flexibility. I am very satisfied with my PVY Z20 PLUS.
On behalf of PVY, I apologize for the bad shopping experience I have brought you. The issue with the display you mentioned has been resolved and customers will receive the same display as in the video and will be allowed to set it up themselves.
