- ATLA characters Ember Island Players Episode but instead of the play they are watching and getting angry at the ATLA live action movie.

I didn't realize there were already a few videos similar to this until the middle of editing. And by that point, I had already watched the movie so I wasn't going to let that go to waste just because there were already similar videos out there. Here's my version. Don't worry, I tried to use as little of the movie as possible.

as awful as i know this movie is I still can't believe they ACTUALLY wrote it so that SIX earthbenders are needed to move a dirt clod...
technically it WAS one dude moving that rock, but they still did nothing anyway

Actually the pronunciation of the word "Avatar" is closer to how she pronounced it in movie. The "Aaavethaar" is just westernized pronunciation.

Katara was not good at waterbending at first, she could barely lift water with difficulty. It wasn't until she trained with Northern Tribe Master Pakku and scrolls that she became a force to be reckoned with.

Well, Toph doesn't show up until season 2 and the movie was only going over the events of season 1, so it makes sense that she wasn't in it.

I actually saw the live action movie several years before watching the actual animated ATLA series. To be honest, at the time that I watched the live action movie, I really liked it and thought it was pretty well made. Now, having seen the animated series, I get why ATLA fans hate the live action, because it was poorly made and the characters aren't at all the same, except for maybe Yue.
Yue is literally the only character who doesn’t look completely different.
The writers watched the shows at 7x speed and then used the Ember Island Players as a recap of the show.
Princess Yue’s actress was actually decent it seemed like.

How the hell is he bending fire from that cauldron at 1:57 fire bending comes from the body. Only water and earth bending needs a source to bend.
They decided to change that. Iroh was the only one who was able to make his own fire, and when he revealed it at the north pole the soldiers were scared of him and ran away.

the only thing I liked about the live action was how much more powerful they made iroh, how he could create fire from nothing where as other firebenders had to have a source, like water. made all his wisdom from alta translate into some actual power
