Plot-wise absolutely. Here’s the sum of GOT: sex, dragons, everyone dies, more sex. In that order. What a great plot line! 🤦♂️ Imagine what these guys could do with a budget comparable to GOT!!! Omg I would be so happy.
I like what Monty did with the mystery of the gnoll priestess being most likely a transformed former local cleric lead. The prospect of gnolls also being transformed former townsfolk is just as good, as an extension. Makes me think more and more that the meteor was summoned by some sort of cultist cabal of worshippers of that demon thing, and many of Drakkenheim leaders were part of it, such as the flame cleric lass, as well as other powerful people like Oscar and Sebastian's mother, and maybe even the royalty.
Sebastian had this thought like 10 -15 episodes ago. So this whole time I have been waiting to see who will be a revealed major character that has been transformed. Like the QUEEN of thieves is actually the princess or Lord of the feast was one of Lord's of drakkenheim or even the prince/king. Though this is the first time we seen what may have been confirmation of this theory. If this does turn out to be true. How many citizens have they murdered
I wished they had search the corpse of the "gnoll" priestess to if she had a piece of delirium in her heart. I suspect that the little cult of the Fallen Flame (not sure if that was the name), Oskar Yorgen, Sebastian mother and the gnolls are all united in the worship of the demon that knows things that will cost you. I've got the distinct feeling that this is all linked together.
I would vote for a Clan Mad Cat (Timber Wolf) BattleMech or a big beefy Atlas if you want to really get stuff done! :D It would really fit with the clunky nature of Pluto.

Great episode, so much stuff going on around. From epic flying veo to counterspells, to clutch polymorph. I can't help but notice though how Pluto has stopped using riposte and sebastian darkness.
Κωνσταντίνος Μουστάκας darkness hasn’t been as effective, and Pluto only has so many maneuvers for reposts. Maybe he is being strategic with its use, or probably he is forgetting lol.
When the caster went out like a boss (awesome moment), I was literally screaming "You're a mage slayer Pluto! The whole point of that feat is to stop things like this from happening" But awesome fight nonetheless :D
Its so funny that he didnt use any aspect of the mageslayer feat when its pretty clear Monty was lining up that last attack specifically for Pluto to dunk her before the spell goes off (and at the very least even if he whiffed the attack he could’ve still rolled his saving throw with advantage and probably not have been downed)
1:30:37 Pluto! You just took Mage Slayer. You get an opportunity attack when she casts a spell within 5 feet of you AND you have advantage on the save! You’re making me yell at the screen like a maniac!
I found Shadows of Drakenheim which led me here. I must say it's hilarious that Kelly thinks they can sell somebody a glass eye then plays a character missing an eye and Joe is dancing around selling his soul then plays a warlock.
What stops our intrepid hero’s from pinging the Corpse Collector to death from outside Slaughter-Stone square with ranged attacks, are they worried about its programming breaking as a result? Furthermore, if they included the hooded lanterns they could set up many baslistas at long range and bury it under weight of fire?
I bet it would be a huge mistake to try this. The Corpse Collector probably has a threshold of damage that it takes before no longer being limited to the square. So maybe knock 30% off its hit points and it goes so berserk that it is set free to go anywhere in the city. Also, I think the ghosts aren't limited to the square. Though it would be a good idea to destroy all the ghosts before attempting to destroy the Corpse Collector.
When they fought Feast Lord it was deadly from the specters. They could try outranging the specters and hope to get lucky while lobbing max range shots vs dodging metal hulk that probably has resistance to piercing...
Still catching up but if I was Sebastian I would sneak up to the roof top with Veo, have Pluto walk in the square to aggro, and have Sebastian ready an action to fireball as soon as the ghosts emerge from the Executioner. Unfortunately now that would ruin the pelts. Maybe give the hook shot to Pluto who hook shots onto the lord of the feasts body and teleports away with the body with action surge.
It hurt me inside to hear Pluto declare that he knows "how to kill mages" but forget to use his reaction for a free attack with Mage Slayer. That might have even killed her before the fireball went off!
Hahaha I thought it was a mute point because the mage killed herself and according to reaction timing unless it states it interrupts (example Shield) then the reaction goes after the trigger. I wish I rolled better on my save which I also got advantage on
@@rcschmidt668 The lightning bolt is a feature of the Javelin of Lightning, (roll20 link: roll20.net/compendium/dnd5e/Javelin%20of%20Lightning ), which is one-use, recharging at dawn.
In an iteration of The Game that is INCREDIBLY heavy in amount of attacks and number of possessed skills I am amazed they get around to/remember as much as they do. [Slinks back into the uncrowded corner of 1e]
For my own rules understanding, why did the Vrak drop the amulet when polymorphed? I thought all carried equipment transformed with the creature... like it does when Pluto gets transformed. Is this different because it is a monster, a magic item or are they playing 'rule of cool'? The end result makes no difference as the amulet would get spat back out once the fish hits the ground anyway so no fall damage would get taken ... its just I'd like clarity for my own understanding!
I think the main distinction is holding vs wearing /equipped, because in the wording for polymorph it says: "The target’s gear melds into the new form. The creature can’t activate, use, wield, or otherwise benefit from any of its equipment." I believe it was more grabbed by the Vrak's talons meaning once the talons were turned to fins it lost it's grip - but it can seem fairly washy since Pluto maintained his sword and shield through transformations. I think what the spell is looking for is stuff in your stat sheet mainly. Regardless like you said it most likely wouldn't have mattered anyways. Hope that helps
I am now caught up. i cant get further into the episode rn so it may be answered( i have my own game in a few minutes XD) but does pluto still have the gnome boots?

That fireball KO on Pluto reminded me of a time my hobgoblin barbarian didn’t use saving face to prevent being petrified, so we had to spend a whole extra day in the forest waiting for me to unstone😂
I think you're refering to the Shield Master feat, right? Unfortunately, you can only really use your reaction for Shield Master IF you actually make the Dex Save, which Pluto didn't do. Though with that said, it's not unlikely he didn't remember the feature, because he didn't even refer to it.

Question about Plato. If you get 2 actions, why not attack, use bonus action to knock enemy prone, then next attack will get advantage. I'm not a rules lawyers.. just curious how it works? Thx
You cannot use the shove action from your shield master feat until After your attack action if I recall the wording correctly. Monty and Pluto gave it somr wiggle room to make it more versatile I think.
And the Executioner has became even scarier... RIP Billy the Horse. ROFL "you're fired".... fireball. T-Rex worked a little better this time. lol Too bad these enemies keep ruining it. Nice move Veo! The jump through the window was great. Are all clerics flamekeepers? "How do you know what it is if you don't touch it?" I think that was Sten's moto...look what happened to him... The demon is creepy... I'm sure it will cause issues. It seems many worship it. Never gamble with a demon, he'd probably cheat. "If they're walking around they might be easier to carry". ROFL. If they go in the direction you want them to.
Love your channel guys! I've been binging videos for weeks and I'm still not caught up. You've helped improve my dm'ing immensely. (BTW I'm in Sudbury Canada not far from you guys... REPRESENT!)
Despite being an awesome DM, Monte got the spellcasting rule wrong regarding Veo casting Zephyr Strike as a Bonus Action and Feather Fall as a Reaction. It happens. You absolutely CAN cast reaction spells like Shield and Feather Fall after casting leveled spells on your turn. The rule that he incorrectly applied is a rule that many, many people get wrong. It's misquoted and misapplied online on a regular basis. I bet he knows the rule correctly, but got it mixed up in the heat of battle. It happens to the best of us, and Monte is only human, despite being such an awesome DM. The 2024 revised rules simplify the rule to, essentially, "you cannot cast more than one leveled spell on your turn." It's much easier to remember. Veo would still be able to cast Feather Fall (or Shield, etc...) in this case, since your Reaction exists outside of your turn as a once per round resource.

Question about Plato. If you get 2 actions, why not attack, use bonus action to knock enemy prone, then next attack will get advantage. I'm not a rules lawyers.. just curious how it works? Thx
He usually only gets one action (it just includes 2 attacks). However this is totally valid when he uses action surge
You cannot use the shove action from your shield master feat until After your attack action if I recall the wording correctly. Monty and Pluto gave it somr wiggle room to make it more versatile I think.
Reactions only can occur when it's not your turn
Jordan Wolfe agreed. They talked through the attack/bash mechanics in one of the early episodes.
When are they going to ask someone about Orcus?
Second I worry about Petunia with the Orcus statue in Oscar's home!
Love your channel guys! I've been binging videos for weeks and I'm still not caught up. You've helped improve my dm'ing immensely. (BTW I'm in Sudbury Canada not far from you guys... REPRESENT!)
Aww man I was so sad when Jill turned down the fun sounding game with the demon.

I love how Kelly & Joe are like a couple of ten year olds all the time.
If only Pluto remembered to use his shield master feat to take half damage from a failed sec save.
Glass out damages a scimitar.
I know this is old but damn is Monty awesome as the demon omg
Kelly should’ve used meta magic to extend the range of his counter spell!!
Dino part made me giggle :)
how did they forget that they sent the rat prince to oscars house.... where there is a demon phone line?
1:40:25 Why didn't Vao add sneak attack damage? Monster is engaged with an ally
Drakken force strikes again!
