U dont rly need to do that, the only thing i think he rly should have checked is the oil, and probably mix gas with oil, that 6yeat old oil is gonna ruin the cilinder or even worse the crankshaft
I had one exactly like the one u bought , u need new oil in brakes (really important) new tires , new battery 12 amp yuasa, new belt for vario transmision ,and a good wash and your ready to go safely 2000 kms again
You’ll need a new spring for the kick starter if you’re not gonna get a new battery man! That way the kick starter stays up! All in all an amazing video keep up the great work
the trick w the ditech motor is all about the pressure regulator, fuel pumps are blamed for most problems , where actually its a blown diaprhram in the regulator. if you got probs check the fuel pressure after the regulator. these are actually really bad ass scooters. and replace the rollers w the 11 gram rollers

Mine startet to but after 10 years in garge today, i only needed a new gel battery, even the gas was okay, but im gonna give new gas to be safe, so it not harm engine :) i have the same Aprilia mine is from 2005, but havent use it since 2011. only 3000km on my so it's almost new condition. Thought it would never start but after about 4 seconds it started, The reason I did not ride it anymore is that my bicycle is twice as fast :)

Dupa 6 ani nu cred ca ca o lua asa usor...mai degraba 1 an maxim. Dupa 6 ani aveai cuib de sobolani in scuter, indiferent unde era pus scuterul.
If you dry kick just don't switch the key and kick a few time like 3 Times so the benz go through the moter and you switch the key and kick and it's on this works to in de morning or when it's cold just remember this whenever yo shit don't start
I have one,my uncle bought it in 2008 and he used it for 1 year in 2009 it was in storage and he gave it to me in 2016 one kick it started directly with fresh gasoline
These bikes using a vacuum petcock.Thats why u should "dry" kick a few times before u turn on the ignition.If the bike didnt start u should check vacuum hose or any parts that could causing air leak.

an indians price point is very different to a euro price point. A TVS Moped is RS 59,712 = € 700 euro, An Sr 50cc Aprilla is € 3500.00 which is RS 286,969.04. Which is way out of reach for most of the Indian market. The only fool here is you !
after 6 years u would have to inject oil from spark plug hole and kick start to oil the engine. clean airfilter and carburator, empty the old rotten fuel. you probably done more damage to engine starting it than the young boy did during the time he used it.

You are not using the kick start properly....
Riding With James i think you have to slowly depress the kick till the piston engages then kick. Not just slam it down constantly.

Riding With James agreed, it wont do any damage but it's simply more efficient to use it correctly.
I have had one of these and I can tell you that the kick starter engages very early it maybe has an inch (~2.5 cm) of play
