Yes it is a great tool to have and it helps take the guess work out of lighting. It was a very simple build or it would never have happened otherwise haha. Glad you appreciated it.
+Dennis Wong lol I hope if i hang around you guys that know what you're talking about long enough that maybe one day i will be one of them guys as well. Thanks for stopping by.
Great video Mike, you just answered the questions I asked in the video before this. I just wanted to know how you built the light lol. Have a good rest of your day.
Good par, nice review. Now only if you had some data on power usage vice lets say a Fluval fresh and plant 2.0. Because power usage in my book is a big deal when running a entire fish room.
I will need to get me one of them meters to read power consumption i think. 39 watts per bulb is not really that bad when i look at the consumption of the lighting i have on my 35 gallon at 130 watts per fixture. Now i don't use those on full power so i am a bit curious to that myself. I guess we will find out on the next bill and see what the difference is. I think it will all work out though as i an adding bigger filters and removing multiple smaller ones on my tanks. So we will see i guess if it works out as I'm thinking it will.
+Robert Merle oh wow yes you are right about that i just looked. I apologize for the mixup Robert and i will make a note in the description. We appreciate the comment.
I have this 48" 4 bulb Teklight kicking around but I don't know what kind of Giesemans they are or how long they were used. So I was wondering which bulb turned out better for plant growth. Thanks
Thanks for posting this video. I was torn between replacing the two 54w t5 bulbs on my current light or purchasing Fluval planted 2.0, I'm going with these. If your in the US order from bulk reef supply they are 24.99 each. There is an eBay seller trying to scam them at 40 bucks each.
+Roger Dedham Yeah they are amazing bulbs. Led lighting is great but it's hard to beat T5 lighting. I didn't know bulk reef carried them that is cool. I did know that coralvue carries Giesemann in the USA. Thanks for leaving us a comment Roger

Hi Mike, great video, but I think you have the spectrum graphs mixed up in relation to the photos at the 3:02 mark. Keep up the great work.
