- I show how to change the fuel filter under your Kubota BX series tractor. I highly recommend upgrading to a racor fuel filter.

Nice job roger. I am doing my fuel filter/water separator mod/upgrade sometime this week. As I said before I will be sure to give you a shout out! Nice job showing guys who have the stock filter and who have never changed it before how to change it.
Thanks! Hopefully this video will also create some awareness about upgrading to the racor. I don't know why Kubota makes such a great tractor, then puts a crappy filter on it.
Tractor Tech couldn’t agree more with you.. even the 1 series has a nice fuel filter/water separator.. has to be a money saving thing.
Good evening Sir, great technical video where the engineers seems to built the tractor around that filter ( tight spot !!! LOL ) Cheers!!!
Yes, it is a little tight. It is even worse with a camera and light in the way.
@@TractorTech You did a real good job !!! Cheers !!!
It was a pretty tight little workspace under there Roger! LOL. Thanks for sharing. Cheers!
Yes, it is a little tight. It is even worse with a camera and light in the way. Thanks for watching!
Nice video! Thanks for doing the video even though you didn’t need to for your machine !!
Thanks, and your welcome. It took some time to do. I had to unhook the lines going to the racor. Then install the stock filter. Once it was installed I could make the video of removing and replacing it. Once I was done I had to remove it and hook the racor back up. It was like doing 2 1/2 filter changes lol.
That hose separator tool is cool. Never seen one of those before!
It works pretty good sometimes. This was a good application for it. I added a link for it in the description.
Dang, I was hoping there was a magical easier way to get to this dang filter... especially that far away clamp.
The Racor upgrade is the only way to go. Those little filters aren’t just a major pain to change but take very little to stop the flow. Usually while driving slight inclines.
Mine liked to give problems when I needed it to push snow. It would freeze.
Tractor Tech yes. Has that happen too.
Hi - I am having trouble with my 1500 cutting out on inclines. Went 16 years without this but now happens all the time. So fuel filter flow is the issue? I thought it might be the lines, but seeing this video changes that a bit. Plse advise. Thanks!
Thank you
I finally uploaded my fuel filter mod video! It was 2.5 hours of footage I had to try and edit down to 30 minutes so it was quite a pain... Let me know what you think, I gave you a shout out!
Thanks, I'll check it out. Repair videos take a heck of a lot of time to edit.
Awesome
As much as they cost, it's hard to believe they can't out a better fuel water filter on them
I am doing the racor filter upgrade, I am thinking also to relocate the pump in front of the filter, any issues you can see with doing that?
Great information! Thank you...
Your welcome!
Any suggestions on doing on one with a mower deck on it?
Remove the mower deck first.
Thanks I'm fixing to change my filter...any thought on which filter to change first....also where can I get those pinch off tools..?btw I have bx 2360
The filter under the tractor is the most important.
Here is a video on how to remove the side panel easily.

I pinned a comment at the top with the link for the pinch off tool.
Is that filter in the front of the tractor or in the back of the tractor
Under near the rear axle
Hello, I bought the filter change kit for the bx2380 in ibay, the diesel filters come in metal, can you explain to me if they replace the plastics, I just bought the tractor and I don't know many things. Thank you
Do you have link to the kit?
Are those just like cheap throw away clear inline 3/8 fuel filters?
No, they are the cheap throw away 5/16 fuel filters.😀 If you get a little water in them, and it is cold you then have ice and poor running tractor.
@@TractorTech is that really the fuel filtering system they put on that tractor from the factory!!!!????
No wonder you recommend the racor upgrade!
Yes, that is the factory filter. There is another one under the hood.
Why did you replace it?
It was time to change it.
185 hours before any issues with fuel filter.
That is about when mine 1st problem happened.
Of all places to put a fuel filter right after the tank atleast they could of put a shutoff valve that's as bad as a car one lol.
A shut off would make it too easy.
