1:09 this moment always reminds me of exploring these creepy facilities on different planets in ME 1.
2:13 all of her nightmares about her past come together and she starts to break down 4:00 she raises utter hell.
Hearing this theme seemed perfectly fitting wherever Jack goes, from her literally tearing apart the Purgatory to the horrors she recalls in the facility. (which on my playthrough seemed to make Kasumi so physically ill. I've never seen Kasumi bothered so much)
Which part was Kasumi specifically bothered by? Or was it in general being there? (I've never had her as a squadmate on Pragia.)

One of favorite videogame characters. On one hand she's a psychopath, on the other, she suffered so much abuse is it any wonder she turned out the way she has? She's a flawed, imperfect human being, but beneath the monster is a sad, damaged person.
I was really sad how bland was Jack's actual combat when you used her as a squadmate. I mean okay, if she's unloyal, a destructive power like shockwave kind of suits her, but her loyalty ability was just so screwed up. Fucking warp ammo, really? That's it? I would've really liked to see some kind of biotic ability that fucking wrecks enemies at close range. Just like we've seen her doing it on the Purgatory and in vids on the Shadow Broker's ship...
I feel like Jack should've got slam and Miranda get Warp Ammo.
@@AnakinJaredDefinitely, couldn't agree more! She is jokingly called "the psychotic biotic" and is known for her extreme biotic skills; A violent ability like Slam just suits her character way more than some ammo upgrade. I just finished Jack's loyality mission last night on a replay of ME2, the level of detail such as the water droplets running down Shepard's armour and the moths gathering around the flickering lights in that mission never fail to impress me, even for a game that is now 10 years old. Not to mention this soundtrack!

@@AnakinJared Well the thing is that Jack's other powers are largely useless against protected targets on higher difficulties. Warp Ammo makes her useful when fighting armor and barrier type enemies. Slam on the other hand has the same problem as the rest of her powers. Miranda OTOH is already pretty useful against protected enemies by having both Warp and Overload. So sure, Slam fits Jack better as a character, but swapping her power with Miranda's would remove any reason to use Jack on high difficulties, and would make Miranda OP. Jack would be pissed.

This theme is so awesome, especially when you're running down the cellblock in the middle of a prison break and the VI telling you that certain decks were lost with no survivors.

@Magmoormaster But she's not heartless (though she does suffer from trauma-induced psychoses); those are defence mechanisms. Have you ever worked with people who have suffered severe emotional, physical, and sexual abuse? Some of them just break and withdraw into themselves, others end up avoidance coping, and many (especially those whose abuse began as kids) end up rebelling and suffering from disorders. The way Jack acts is pretty true to form for a victim.
Her character is pretty tragic.

I never, never thought that Jack would become my favorite of the party members introduced in Mass Effect 2. I was extremely turned off by all of her portrayals in demonstration trailers and the like, but I absolutely loved hearing her tell her story in the game, expose her actual emotions and feelings, and allow me to take her down the Paragon/healing path. I was touched when I really began seeing the *person* within her. And that is something that Cerberus never saw, never would see.
@watchinginaz Miranda and jack have more in common than you think, its like two sides of the same coin. They are both just expressing their own insecurities different. Miranda is the over achiever obsessed with perfection and Jack is self destructive doing everything to avoid achieving anything. But both have fucked up pasts. I enjoy them both.

Subject Zero = Jack, and they just name her that throughout the game, by both the team and Cerberus.
