I've always loved seeing the double landings at SFO. The 101 passes right by there and sometimes if you're lucky you can see the double landings from the freeway.

Man, I miss the beautiful 747-400. I'm actually scheduled to fly on a Lufthansa one in a couple of months. I kept thinking I'll never get lucky to be on one again but it seems I lucked out... hopefully no changes on the schedule!
I flew Japan Airlines this year in June 2024 to Tokyo Haneda! Except, I was on the 787 aircraft which I like the 777 more. My favorite Japanese Airline! 42:39
I don't get why some of those 787 landings seemed quite bumpy, compared to the much older a330-200s, let alone a350s. I guess I expect a smoother touchdown from the current gen. Maybe its just bad luck with wind conditions, or is it related to the Airbus philosophy of computer pilot aids?
