KEF Reference 107 from 30 years ago never opened factory sealed, opened for the first time.

These KEF Reference 107 sat never opened in a reps basement until a friend of Olson's HiFi found these at an estate sale. Our friend Gregory Petrovic opens his dream speakers after decades of searching.

Wow -so that’s what they looked like coming out of the box! I bought mine in 1994 straight off the dealer show room floor. Thanks for doing this video Olsen HIFI!

Hmmm.... Great find. But it takes 20 years for the Ferrofluid in the T33 tweeters to evaporate and turn into gunk. And the woofers' foam suspension and dustcap are also most likely dried up and have started to crumble... A restoration is needed on these new speakers... ;-)

After 30 years, the ferrofluid in the tweeters will have evaporated and will need changing. The woofers' foam dust cap and suspension will have dried and crumbled. The dividing network's capacitors will also most likely need changing.
